Ins for next season:

Rb: Van Der Wiel - Ajax right back, no.1 holland right back. Good chance of signing if we can hopefully fend off Valencia and Roma.
Cb: Subotic - Dortmund centre back. Linked with Chelsea before. After the Liverpool game I think we need another young centre back to partner Cahill, Terry's not as consistent.
Dcm: Javi Martinez - Atletico Bilbao midfielder. We need a world class holding player. Would be a great signing could partner Lampard behind our now 4-2-3-1 formation.
Winger: Hazard - Lille winger. Great potential. Says that he will be wearing blue next year hopefully Chelsea not City.
Striker: Falcao - Atletico Madrid striker. Why the he'll didn't we buy him last summer? Fantastic player, currently demolishing the Atletico Bilbao defence. Nearing his prime too.

Outs: Hilario, Ferreira, Bosingwa, Essien, Meireles, Malouda, Kalou, Drogba

Starting XI:

Cech

Van Der Wiel Cahill Subotic A.Cole

Javi Martinez Lampard

Hazard Mata Marin

Falcao

Van Der Wiel Cahill Terry A.Cole

Believable0 Unbelievable1

What no Ramires?
He has been our best player this season.
Vdw does not want to come to chelsea. Chelsea are not going to get Hazard as scout does not like his attitude!
Falcao would be good but I think Torres will be with a better supply.
I like hulk for the right. Martinez or fellani in holding. Hamsik in the attacking mid. Mata left and torres up top.
Luke

Agree1 Disagree1

Mata centre behind the striker, not hamsik

Agree0 Disagree1

Y did i think hamsik was thr lol

I have just been reading an article about what Marin will bring to Chelsea, initially i was not overly excited by the signing however after watching a video of his participation in a single game

Marko Marin vs Frankfurt
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMs6dhMn0eE#!

i think we might have a very useful player, great pace, brilliant first touch and ability with the ball at his feet and a great energy on the pitch. For less than 10 mill we could have a gem in Marin.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

If we can find a manager with the balls to play youngster. We have some of the best youngster around, having been the most consistant team in the FA youth cup for the last 5 years.

Agree8 Disagree1

Now we just need Moura on that right hand side

Agree2 Disagree0

He looks pretty rubbish on that video

terry has been poor for what? last 4-5 games....i dont think that matters...

personally i think he has been the best defender since the turn of the millenium

taby

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Taby - you cannot be serious

Puzzled

Agree2 Disagree5

Taby your spot on, in my opinion he is one of the best defenders ever. He shows passion and desire on the pitch which is exactly what us fans want

Agree2 Disagree1

Yep muzzled he is serious. If you need proof, check the champions league 11 picked every year, think you may find Terry in it on numerous occasions. But let me guess, you think Carragher is better? Just like you think Gerrard is better than Lampard?

OsgoodIsKing

Agree3 Disagree0

Cmon...Gerrard is way better than Lamplard. Cant believe youre even gonna try arguing that one

cozinoz

Agree1 Disagree2

Osgoodwasneverking - well there is a similarity between Carragher and Terry - they've both played on for far too long. As regards Gerrard - he is in decline, but Lampard is at Chelsea just out of sympathy

Puzzled

Agree0 Disagree2

Haha that is a good joke....the only thing gerrard is better at is that he is damn better captain and leader than lampard....
the stats speak for themselves,
the performances speak for themselves,

lampard is still the first name in the england midfield roster for big and important games!!

lampard is way ahead

by the way the joke is you think carragher even compares to terry!!

not drunk are u?

Agree0 Disagree0

I spose puzzled think carragher is better lol

Sometimes people tend to make the wrong decision!I think thats what happened in Downing's case..he can run fast, hit the ball hard, and NEVER hits the net!!would have been some player, had he opted to play tennis instead of football!

16 months with us and Torres has one winners medal with more to come. 41 months with Liverpool he had none. Wow And they wonder why he dumped them. UP CHELSEA!!

Sorry lads, must apologise - we have just put John Terry on the train - found him in Andy Carroll's pocket

Puzzled

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Hey puzzled, my favourite scouse.I see u got your sense of humour back. As I said in a post below the scoreline yesterday means nothing, you could tell with the squad we played and as for you guys it obviously meant the world judging as well with the squad you played. Good win for you guys if only you did that on saturday aii? We beat you when it mattered that's what counts and you know it. Any way Enjoy your laugh cause come the 19th we would see who would be laughing and look back at the season at say truly it was a sucess. One down, one to go.
ELI

Agree4 Disagree2

U do realise not one player on the pitch last nyt really cared, not one of them will b in the starting eleven against Munich, di Mattel did nt care last night, we basically gave u the three points when our eleven players were named so I wouldn't get cocky playing a second string team

Agree1 Disagree0

Was he carrying the FA Cup with him?

aL

Agree2 Disagree0

Puzzled I just heard why Gerrard wasn't playing last night. Word on the street is that he was at London last night trying to get a feel of the FA cup trophy, but he didn't succeed, he was to slow kindda like when he was playing on saturday, got spanked and sent back to scouse town. UP CHELSEA!
-BLUERAY-

Agree1 Disagree1

Ha Terry was sucked into that pocket badly last night bt the Liverpool forwards...it was a joke for a man like me who watches every minute of every chelsea match i was really disappointed with the attitude of Terry and Ivo.

I still cannot believe how poor we were last night, as much as RDM says we had the players to win the game we clearly did not. Pool put out a strong side, we put out a group of players who have not played a part for months, if not years. I felt bad for Torres, he gets a start in what could have been an important game (keeping in mind two wins in the Prem could have seen us finish in the top 4) but is surrounded by average players who didn't seem to care. Finishing 6th is so poor, embarrassing really. Given that RDM was brought in to ensure a top 4 spot and what he delivered was a position lower than when he took over i think that regardless of what happens in the champs league, he will be out.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

09 May 2012 05:31:11
Right, im not gonna gloat on here or anything because at the end of the day you guys won the more important meeting, the FA cup final. We were very very good, Carroll and Suarez were exceptional together. But part of the reason we were so good was because Chelsea were horrendous. John Terry does not deserve a place in the euro squad based on form this season and if he goes its a travesty, honestly what has happened to your skipper? He's in all fairness been very bad lately, Andy came on in the final and made him look crap and he did the same tonight. Can someone enlighten me why he's so bad at the moment please?
KiwiRed

Believable3 Unbelievable0

One would assume that he is struggling with getting slower as the average player gets faster. But that is no excuse for how hes played this season.
Jono

Agree1 Disagree1

The only reason we can say JT is declining is because he has set such an extremely high bar. Last night was his worst performance I can remember. Obviously the barca game was a dumb mistake. That being said he's won us points this season and is better than everyone else we have and to be honest the only other defender in the league I would take over him is Kompany who I believe is the best defender in the world.

Tk {Ed002's Note - He is getting older and slower and has been playing through injury which is a pretty dumb thing to do.}

Followng their FA cup win and upcoming Champions League final appearance, Chelsea supporters have signed on for another season.
They had been strongly linked with Man City ;)

Believable15 Unbelievable4

I think you'll find this is an urban myth. Two seasons in a row is unheard of.

Your pretty funny, also seem pretty dmart so ill ask you a question
Do you get a bonus on your contract for how badly liverpool played this season? Do you also get a christmas bonus for taking time out of your day to come on to our page

Has any else noticed that Chelsea aren't really saying anything about the fitness of Luiz and Cahill? They are vital for the final. Chelsea will surely know the extent of their injuries and when they will return. Maybe they are keeping it a secret for tactical reasons against Bayern?

Oh brother do I hate sturridge and Malouda even more every time I see them in the blue shirt. And I don't care if sturridge is 21 he doesn't deserve to be at the club and definitely doesn't have the heart to play for us and as for Malouda, he's time was up at the club 10 months ago. We made an average team look good tonight . How do we expect Torres to score when he is played with players like Malouda and sturridge. They obviously don't wanna pass to him. I think its gonna have to be a really busy summer if we are to get back to fighting for the league. I can go on with what's wrong with the team, And how RDM could have done better today but heck it to what gain right? All in all we have to win the champions league or its hello thursday night football.
P.S any scouser that comes on here to say anything should remember 4 -1 or 5-1 it changes nothing .We still have a far much better season than you would ever so think before you post. Okay.

todays performance shows why we need marin...squad depth...those of you who want malouda bosingwa essien and co out...you are clueless! we need a squad of internationals AND atleast 8 of them being key players for their country without that...we will fall behind city united and as much as i hate to say it, arsenil. although di matteo has done well...he knows nothing of the transfer market...and thats where next season will be decided, if we get moyes...it gives us an edge on baines rodwell felanni and barkley... if we get pep then maybe alves and villa...and if we get jose...we get short term success. i dont want any of them! man for the job is harry redknapp or brendan rodgers. brendan is the next fergie and will work wonders with swansea if not a bigger club.and harry redknapp...hewould bring Bale...no doubt about that. also...kyle walker? would be great addition to team...bertrand iva cahill walker. anyway. transfer ins-marin, munain, welliton, lavezzi, nani( 2 of the latter 4) maxi rodriguez(dont know why) but he would be a squad player! azilpucueta and lucas moura. torres to juve and droggers to shenua. lukaku to take centre stage with sturridge challenging!

Makalelad

Believable1 Unbelievable4

I'm sorry but almost everything you've said is worthless.

Malouda, Essien and Bosingwa will all go if we can find suitable replacements. They just aren't good enough anymore, yes they have international experience, but I'm also sure that anyone we bring in is likely to have it too.

Also I think your idea that managers can just take players they want from their former is just ever so slightly wide of the mark.

Perhaps you should think before calling other people clueless.

IB

Agree3 Disagree0

Sorry, also forgot to say... 'Lukaku up front next season with Sturridge challenging'. Let's not doom next season already shall we. Lukaku is nowhere near ready.

Clueless indeed.

IB

Agree0 Disagree1

I agreed when you said we need to build a squad but almost 100% of what you said after that statement I flatly disagree with you upon. Your squad has to be able to put in a shift but based on last night you can tell essien and Malouda can't.

I know the pool dont have the same problems, with lack of investment and nothing else going on that side of town it would be hard not to get excited about Europa League football being a POSSIBILITY next year.

How's your POSSIBILITIES looking after that drubbing, Melbs?

cozinoz

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Jeez mate, you really have looked back through the archives to find that haven't you. We are guaranteed a Europa League spot after we thumped you on Saturday mate keep up. We also have the chance to raise another trophy and automatically qualify for the Champions League on the 19th.

How are Liverpool's prospects looking for the foreseeable future coz old mate?

All I can say is that i felt incredibly embarrassed and upset for Torres tonight. To come back to his old club and for his team to play like that, I was appalled. He put a lot of effort in tonight and the other forward players did not recognize it at all. I did not understand why in god's name did Malouda not pass to him, when he see's Torres making a forward run and Sturridge was driving me crazy. Daniel just 'diddy daddles' on the ball, and wait's soo long to play the ball, he does a couple of step-overs in stupid positions and loses it. I was shocked. I thought Turnbull was awful as well.

But to end on a positive note chaps, I thought Lukaku was excellent. Even though he missed from 5 yards, he won every ball played up to him, he was excellent. There is future for this team and the club is doing really well in bring it in.

Possible youth players for the Future..

Betrand
Chalobah
Piazon
Feruz
Lukaku
Bamford
Davila
Kalas
Van Aanholt
Etock
Coutrois
De Bruyne
Hutchinson
McEachran
Kakuta
Lalkovic
Ake

These lads all have real talent! I hope the club some how pushes as many of those players into the first team as possible!

The Future is bright lads!

PR!

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Three things that could have got us the result.

1.Ivanovic - missed the open header put us 1-0 up. I by no means am angry at him, been excellent all year.

2. Torres - beats a man with a touch, hits the underside of the bar, comes out. Wouldn't have cared about the result if that win in.

3. Lukaku - missed open header from 5 yards from fantastic play. Would have been immense for his confidence. Want wait for 3 years, he will be a beast.

Terry had a poor, poor game. Cost us at least one goal and him and Ivan did not work well together at all. But he is a legend of the club and has won us many a game.

We won the FA Cup. We were outsiders for 4th anyway. Bring on Bayern.

Melbourne CFC

Ivanovic should also have been sent off.

I actually agree with the team Robbie put out tonight,we only had a slight chance of getting fourth spot anyway. He was right not to play the majority of the champions league final squad and I hope he does the same on Sunday. With the suspensions we have leave us no option but to rest players.I don't think the performance was as bad as some people make out.A couple of mistakes and a poor goalkeeping performance cost us.We hit the woodwork twice.Lukaku done ok when he came on.I have seen us play worse.I think tonight highlighted the fact that if Torres is going to stay then drogba needs a new contract because with Torres staying I cannot see us paying out for someone like cavani or falcao. When everyone is fit,we have a quality keeper, quality defence, poor midfield apart from mata, ramires.,Still unsure on Torres,I think a major decision needs to be made there.my personal choices for ins and outs:
Out:
Malouda,bosingwa,merieles,ferriera,Trumbull,hilario,essien,
Kalou.
Ins:
Falcao,hulk,Modric,Cesar.
Subs:lukaku,de bruyne,Marin,
Manager:mourinho,guardiola,Lowe
I think Robbie has done an good job but havnt really changed much as a team other than become more solid in defence. We are still too slow going forward so need to invest heavily on some pace and attacking talent.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I actually think the opposite on the retaining drogba part. If we're gonna get the best out of Torres we must get rid of drogba. I believe we should hold on to one or the other but not both.
