malouda plays 80 mins we score 1 goal.
romeu comes on for 10 mins andwe score 3 goals.
coincidence?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

To be honest mate, yeah

Agree6 Disagree1

Yeah, Romeu plays a completely different role to Malouda and it was at a point where a championship side had been worn down and they are. Of used to having to hunt for the ball like they did. They would have been tired. I'm not exactly Malouda's biggest fan but I recall him setting up the first goal?

Agree2 Disagree0

I think Romeu is a very good player. He is good defencive and attacking, he is able to pass a good ball and he rarely loses the ball. He is more effective than mikel in both atacking and defending.

Why o why is AVB in Scotland doing the Scottish cup draw. Think he should be on the training ground barking out a few orders at the shower that is cfc players at the moment , not on a jolly with mr lippi grinning away on sky sports news clutching the only piece of silverwear he's getting his hands on this season.
He's probably scouting a few players out of the spl ! {Ed002's Note - He was there for a different reason - he only did the draw because he happened to be in town.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

The first team were given 2 days off after the portsmouth game..would be pretty pointless having him shout at no one.

Agree4 Disagree0

What's the other reason he was there ? Anything exciting.. {Ed002's Note - It is unimportant to transfers.}

Agree2 Disagree1

It was to do with the coaching course he did up there i think {Ed002's Note - It is to do with future courses.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Thank god cos i would seriously worry if we looking at players in scotland

if i could make a signing this transfer window and was not cup tied, it would be Xherdan Shaqiri. then this would be my team 4-2-3-1
cech
ivan luiz terry cole
romeu ramires
sturidge mata shaqiri
torres

dreaming i maybe but we should be looking at Xherdan Shaqiri

Believable5 Unbelievable1

The same Xherdan Shaqiri that played in the champions league against man utd?

Agree4 Disagree0

Great post, totally agree with with formation , line up and shaquri signing, he's got the lot as a player , pace , power , finishing ability , creativity , everything we need and he's still very young.
About time someone one here Put a realistic target into the mix.

Agree3 Disagree0

Why do ppl jump out their pram over sum1 who has one good game!

pinky

Agree2 Disagree3

If you've watched Xherdan Shaqiri you'd know he's had much more than 1 good game, he is a very, very good player; 10x the player Kevin De Bruyne is!!

ed i hope we sign this hulk! powerhouse quick and very skillfull! can come in from the right so u could push strurridge up top!

pinky

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Very much doubt either part of your comment will come true.

Agree3 Disagree3

Why not! he said he would like to work with avb again! he is proven agains us,utd and arsenal in europe that he can handle the prem! i think its wot we need a strong pacey attacker coming off the wings. strurridge is good but be better up top cos he been caught out doing stupid step overs i.e against spurs when they went on to score! hulk be more harder to knock off the ball! hulk and hazard would be ideal signings for us

pinky

Agree3 Disagree3

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to have Hulk I'm our squad. I just don't think it's particularly realistic, have a feeling Porto would be asking a lot more than we'd be willing to pay.

As to playing Sturridge up front, I really don't think AVB sees him in that way. I think he would perform adequately but I'd still prefer an 'in form' Torres or another top class striker. Sturridge's pace is deadly on the wing, he just needs to work on 1. Excessive stepovers! 2. Final decision making (cross / or have a pop at goal)

Agree4 Disagree0

Previous day there was a lot of talks about Hulk moving away from Porto and now his agent has said that he is satisfied at Porto and don't wanna leave.

Agree2 Disagree0

84 million buy out clause bit steep

Agree2 Disagree0

The only person more over estimated in Europe than hulk is ibrahimovich. Hulk plays in a crap league and has done nothing for the national side too much money and a massive risk spend the 80mill on neymar

Agree1 Disagree0

And naymar is not playing in a crap league no? naymar is weak ok got all the skills in the world but a cold winters night away to stoke or teams like that then see ya naymar nice knowing ya! stop looking at youtube

pinky

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't spend 80million on anyone. Two 30m players and 20m player we would be sorted, moutinho, hazard, pereira, on top of all but signing cahill.

Morning Ed, just wondered if you knew how serious the injuries to Ivanovic and Sturridge are? Can't seem to find information about their return dates. {Ed002's Note - The club have not released anything. Sorry.}
