Ed's anything?

Chelsea win race to land 17-year-old Romanian wonderkid Cristian Manea in £2.3m deal and will sign in January.

Word is he's going to be sent on loan to Vitesse.
Probably another good piece of business. Being capped at the senior level is an amazing feat for a boy his age. Once again hats off to Emenalo and co.

Cheers ed002.

There only good business if we ever see any of then in the first team.
The last youth to come through was J T. And the money and effort we spend of on youth tht ain't good enough. But hopefully with these new fair play rules we will.see a few more.
I really think BOGA will be the one.

You have to put things into context though you cannot possibly expect us to continually bring youth through and risk playing them in a team trying to win a title has competitive has the BPL. ( has they are kids and kids makes mistakes more often then experienced pro's) teams lower down in the league and teams like Arsenal can do this because they are not competing for the top prize. And has for not bringing anyone through apart from JT you have to remember just over 10 years ago we were training at a university it is only since RA has arrived we have had the facilities and the money to spend on top youth coaches and scouts it has taken 10 good solid years but you can now see the first solid flock starting to develop people like RLC, Baker, Chabolah, Christensen, Traore, Boga, Ake the potential is there. The days of blowing 50 mil are gone with FFP its smarter to buy this players young because your never really going to loose money and you only need to hit one decent player in 10 and you've hit the jackpot in my opinion I think the club is on the right track and I wouldn't be to surprised to see a couple of these youth players break into the team in the not to distant future.

In addition to what Lampsy has said, isn't what Arsenal has been doing in the last 17years or so? Buying kids players and loaning them out to help their development, bring them into the first squad, play few couples of cup games to attract potential buyer and selling them eventually. It will be a nice piece of business for us in the nearest future, either we are able to save money we could have used to buy players we now have as youth players or selling the good ones among them to raise funds to buy world class players we may need. In either scenarios, Chelsea wouldn't be at loss. To think we never spent a penny from RA's money in the summer is a sign of better business to come.

Glad to read that Ake's doing well. Cheers Ed
