City never looked like scoring. Gutted, United have spurs next, though we'd move at least couple points clear extra of United today, what's happened to sterling?

City not nearly as up for this as United made obvious by not having de Bruyne even on the bench. We have a considerably harder run in than United, and may regret losing points in v winnable games but fact that we still have fate i own hands with 9 games to go is much more better position than I thought we'd be in before season began.

{Ed002's Note - KDB has an ijury.}

Not worried about Utd or any other team. The game today was such a joy to watch. So many quality performances and we managed to bring on two more young lads.

Villa/ JT will beat Leicester and all of a sudden they start looking over there shoulder.

Anyway, who cares, win all our remaining games and it become another fantastic season.

COME ON MY MIGHTY BLUES.

Ed what’s situation with 5th place and city and the CL ban?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The appeal will not be heard before the CL begins so for now it is of no consequence.}

08 Mar 2020 19:55:46
Thanks Ed002. So if appeal not heard until CL starts this means that City will stay in CL for next season a least (sorry if am being slow here! )?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - As it stands right now the appeal for Manchester City and Milan are not scheduled so they will enter the two competitions as planned, assuming they qualify Regardless of the Coronavirus issue, it may be necessary for UEFA to put the Milan issue on hold for a year.}

08 Mar 2020 21:51:29
Not good. Was hoping 5th would also get a spot, I’m sure city will get it reduced or squashed. Never mind,

I think City will be lucky to get away with keeping it down to just a two season ban but then I would say that.

Maybe we should stop looking behind us at what United, Spurs, Wolves etc. are doing and start looking at the gap between us and Leicester?

Maybe both us and United will get top four!

So that's pass and move and urgency, as long as we don't get to relaxed and stop the few sloppy passing, could be a very very good win / performance,

The worlds watching billy Gilmore, a lot of pressure. A weaker team but that's down to injuries, need to be alert for rebounds and anything that drops around 6 yard box, Dominic Calvin Lewin is in good form and is very sharpe. Quietly confident.

Is Tammy Abraham waiting on who we sign as a striker as to whether he’ll extend his contract or is it purely wanting parity with CHO?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It is neither.}

08 Mar 2020 14:50:15
Can you shed any more light on the situation, Ed002?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There is no "situation".}

ED001, I just wanted to know your opinion about Declan Rice as a player. He really seems to divide opinions from being a very good player to someone who just doesn't contribute enough.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I think he is a very good player, but I don't see why you need him when his role in the squad would be one Ethan Ampadu could fill. I don't know why people think he doesn't contribute enough, he is having to cover the whole backline on his own, as Noble's legs are going and there is rarely any other help in there. Yet he still manages to get forward when the chance presents itself to him. Rice is technically good, his weakness is mobility, while he can run about all day, he is not the quickest.}

08 Mar 2020 10:29:04
'his weakness is mobility, he is not the quickest' - we already have one of those: Jorginho.

You hit the nail on the head Ed, Rice looks like he's doing three guys work. I think he'd shine in a decent midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - me too.}

08 Mar 2020 14:50:57
I thought Ampadu would be better suited as a CB, Ed001. Am I wrong?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I think he will naturally drop back in a few years, but I can also see Rice doing the same. Once they gain more experience and improve their reading of the game.}

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Top 10 Left-Backs

No Alex Telles or Ferland Mendy or Renan Lodi? Bold choices Ed001, especially as Dave has been poor recently and Chilwell too.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Ferland Mendy was 11. Alex Telles is hit and miss and Lodi has had about 10 good games in total, far too early for him.}

08 Mar 2020 12:30:43
It sounds from your comments that many of your choices are more suited to LWB Ed 001.
I am a fan of Alonso providing the team is set up to take a account of his defensive weakness.
Who from your list is significantly better defensively whilst still contributing in the final third including goals?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Alaba and Robertson stand out as the best all round full-backs.}

08 Mar 2020 12:36:56
Crossing isn't Azpilicueta's strong point - polite ed, very polite.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yeah I was trying to be nice!}

08 Mar 2020 15:09:41
Fair enough Ed, I watched Lodi in Brazil and he's brilliant. Heir apparent to Marcelo in the Brazil squad easily.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I think he is better than Marcelo but he is not even first choice in club football this season, so it is too soon to include him. Even though I would agree with you and think he is going to walk into it next time I do it.}
