Nice to see the Eva dismissal and the Salah loan Saga come to a conclusion.
hopefully now club and board can focus moving forward.
would of like to of got a couple players in before the euros looks unlikley now but least the club aren't buying for the sake of buying i'm keeping the faith ktbffh.

I wouldn't mind having him back, he offers something a bit different and he's still pretty young so if it didn't work out he could probably still be sold quite easily. Can't see it happening though.

Ed i see you put a list of interest in players up for city, i know you've had some grief here in past when doing similar thing for us but could you please do one for us with all other top teams being linked to top players and getting deals done your insight would be really appreciated all we get from elsewhere is recycled stories in press and BS twitter stories.
To my fellow posters if ED is kind enough to go out his way to do this for us, please please don't give him grief if it not what you want to here he does this for us for free and he's proven time and time again to be correct he has a better knowledge of it then us so just try wise up be grateful he doesn't choose who we go for he just kind enough to tell us instead of us having to wait for weeks so just bear that in mind when posting

Mkhitaryan would be a fantastic signing for Arsenal. I hope we aren't out of the running yet. If we can't sign him then maybe someone like Bellarabi would be a good alternative?

That's harsh IMO. he is very productive in terms of goals and assists, something that none of our current players are. Mkhitaryan and Willian compliment each other (as seen in their days at Shakhtar) .

What's everyone's thoughts of Matic wanting to go to United? Personally, I'm not sure I believe it. Although I could just be in denial. He had a poor season, but the season before he was the best DM in the league and one of the best in Europe. Would be devastated to see him leave.

I think he has a lot of qualities, but last season he was garbage and I think he is mentally weak. One bad season and he wants to leave. TBH I would rather see Chalobah or Baker get a chance but I accept this is very unlikely.

Matic is a good player who had a bad season. The problem with him is he is classed as the holding player but is caught out of position too many times. He likes to also get involved in attacks. We need a kante type player, someone who just sits and breaks up play.

Matic was the victim of our atrociously unbalanced midfield last season. While he wasn't great, the group we had would've made makelele look average at best. I'd be reluctant to sell him and the idea of selling him to Jose at United is pretty much a nonstarter for me.

Obviously I'd love Griezmann he's the one player i'd love to see play for Chelsea on the opposite wing to Eden but that's unlikely to happen now.
Things aren't going great for us this window with other clubs seem to be getting their targets in and we aren't and I think the only way we'd end up with a dream window from here is if we signed Koulibaly, Kante or Nainggolan or both if Matic leaves and another striker in Morata. All in all I think if we got three of them and integrated more youth again like Ake, Loftus-Cheek, Baker and Abraham we would have had a very good summer.
Rudiger now looks unlikely with his long term injury and Roma aren't going to want to sell Manolas that would leave them short so I think we really need to go all out for Koulibaly. His quality on the ball would compliment Zouma better I think than Rudiger anyway.
As for midfield I'm unsure on these Matic rumours but if he wants to go what can we do. Playing a three man midfield with either RLC/ Nainggolan, Kante and Fabregas could be very good. I'd like to see RLC's presence there as it would replace Matic's height in a way. But we would also be adding that elusive engine we've been craving for.
Up top the right wing has and will continue to worry me unless we can sign a left footed player like Griezmann to fill that void. People say Traore's the answer but I'm unsure he's still a bit lightweight for me and shouldn't be risked. I'm expecting Pedro to have a much better season I just think he needs to gain consistency. He is a threat in front of goal something which Willian isn't from open play. I'd happily sell Willian on if we could get 40 million say. That's along with Ivanovic, Mikel, Marin, Moses, Cuadrado, Salah, Remy and maybe Cahill. Ivanovic and Cahill are on the decline so why not get a sell on fee now.
As for that I think if we could sign Koulibaly, Kante and Morata that would be a successful window for us.

Don't panic ONM, plenty of time. I would imagine given last year's disaster that from the day Mourinho left plans were being developed and built on with Hiddink and latterly Conte as to who is likely to go, might want to go and those we will accept big money offers for, likewise there has been a long list of who we will approach as first choice, second and third. It is highly unlikely that 'anyone' will want a repeat of the pre-season transfer fiasco and the ensuing league performance.
