Good news a player I really rate and so does the management.
There is also some positive news on Oriol Romeu with Benitez confirming that the midfielder is on the verge of returning to action. Romeu suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament injury during the early stages of the season but is now back in training and in the managers thoughts.
‘Oriol Romeu could be available if I ask him because he is training really well. He is pushing in every training session. He is training so well we are considering playing him. ’
There's just no games left where we can afford to get his feet wet with the possible exception of the Everton game if we have 3rd locked up.

Who would everybody like to see in the XI against spurs? I'd go for the following:
Cech
Cezar Bran Cahill Cole
Luiz Mikel
Rami Mata Hazard
Ba
I really would like rami to bracket bale as long as he plays out wide and if he plays central I would strongly consider a 433. Besides that I think pace in centre half is vital due to the likes of Defoe and bale running at them. And I think ba is a greater threat than Torres (just like every other striker in the league).

What's the point in putting Mikey and Luiz together? No decent play from deep to mata and co. just aswell Mikey is injured then.
We don't need rami on the right to defend bale. he is not a ronaldo, hazard and mata are as threatening as bale, luiz and rami in the midfield should keep them quiet with cahill and terry at center backs

Frank just played 90 minutes Sunday and with that if he makes big runs and doesn't get back bale will have a lot of room to operate if he plays central. And to whoever said bale isn't in their category it doesn't matter. Bale is as important to spurs as those players are to their teams.

Many moons ago I posted, shortly after Rafa's arrival, that it was a good decision by the board, and he would do well. My opinion was largely opposed by fellow Chelsea fans. I was just wondering, what do we think of Rafa's performance as manager now? Top 4, European final, what more do you want?

Rafa is a couple games from a huge difference in opinion. If we would have beat Corinthians, Swansea (and then won the cup) and city (and then won the cup) he would've been seen as largely successful.

He lost us the fa cup v city, from being far to defensive and scared. He lost us 17 points off top of the league, he moaned he didn't have enough depth but still didn't use Marin and piazon. He lost us the super cup and the league cup. Terrible results v reading, west ham and Southampton. Don't like him, never will. Europa league come on. We should be pissing that with what ever manager in charge with our group of players. On e he's gone he won't be remembered. He's doing what he's getting payed for! Inter Milan players laughed at his tactics and training. His substitutions have been mostly terrible. At the end of the day any manager should be getting a top four finish with this squad!
Like Di Matteo got a top 4 finish?
At least Rdm won us 2 important cups and got us cl football, with a lot worse squad. Yet Benitez loses us 4 or 5. And now everyone is praising him for beating Sparta, Basel I almost forgot they are full of top class players who we should never have beaten.

Ba should stay, an excellent striker who has scored goals wherever he has been. He should have had a consistent run in tge team from day one instead of pandering to torres who has been the words biggest joke since he arrived.
Torres > Ba
Ba, has just been a rotation striker he's not good enough.

Hi Ed - I know I keep banging on about this but can you explain fully how we can spend big bucks this summer plus wages and meet FFP rules? Thanks {Ed002's Note - I am sick of the subject to be honest. I have provided a great deal of detail about how the FFPR work and wha will happen to clubs who violate the rules. Why do you consider this coming season any different to this season?}
I would put any worries on the back burner Mrs Speedie. This legal challenge by Striani through Dupont may well put FFP on abit of a standstill. It could have massive reprocussions on inplementing FFP at all.

Why don't Chelsea put buy back or sell on clauses into the transfers of some of the younger players such as Miroslav Stoch or Nemanja Matic? I'm not saying we'd want to buy them back but if Matic is now worth £20m it would seem to be good business from Cheslea particularly if we are investing in many younger players.

It's the clubs own fault for letting these players leave and not giving them a chance. why should we have a right to buy them back after we never trusted them. This is the only thing I have against mourinho, they will all be wasted. Wish we never naturally agreed to let Carlo ancelotti leave. I remember josh getting quite abit of game time under him at 18 and was class then especially against Newcastle.
