Hello all, what's the common consensus about Lukaku (probably) coming back. Personally, if he can better his first touch, I'm very happy. I'm not sure that Costa and Lukaku can play together up front, however. Cheers to a good summer!

hes good at what he does, im not a big fan of him, im not sure it works for chelsea, we have hazard, pedro fabregas who all like to play football, i think it would break down when the ball gets to lukaku, and an alarming stat i have seen is lukaku scored 8 or 9 goals from crosses last season at Everton and Chelsea crossed the ball the least amount, in the whole league, that's why i've always said we need a striker who can get involved and link the play with our creative players, its a case that lukaku would have to change for chelsea, or chelsea would have to change for lukaku .

We had the least crosses because we have nobody good in the air up front. World class from corners but Costa is a ground player and with wing backs you need some aerial threat which we lack hence everything along the ground. Lukaku is not my kind of player at all and I am sure for the money talked about we could do better. When pushing for the win or a draw I have wondered why we have never considered pushing Cahill forward as he has a good shot and a target man in the air.

Lukaku is going to score goals, I don't doubt that. If, and more likely now when, he moves back to Chelsea it's going to be for a big, big fee. In order to justify that then he needs to score goals in big matches, goals that settle games against top six EPL teams, goals that win a knockout game in the UCL. Personally that's where I'll judge him.
