Jose Mourinho is apparently 100% certain to manage Real Madrid next season. It looks like another former club of his who is in a dire state has made the SOS call. For his career it will be the right move. let's be honest, he won't win another premier league with his tactics, it will be extremely difficult but he has a huge chance to continue winning in an easier Spanish league.

Hazard obviously had a bit of falling out with Jose regardless of what they both say now. I think Hazard will push for the move but does he really want to play under Jose again?

Ed001 and Ed002.I would like to see both of your opinions on this if its ok. What do you guys think are the chances of Chelsea ending in top 4 and what do you think they should do to achieve this.

{Ed002's Note - They have a very good chance and to do it they need more points than the other sides involved.}

Hey Ed001 what’s do you think of Rüdiger? I rate him highly but I have a mate that recons he’s awful. Thoughts on him?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I like him myself, he can get caught ball watching, but every player does that, and he is a bit meh on the ball, but he is a defender and he defends well. He is an old school centre back who just goes in to get the ball and get it away from danger. You need someone like him next to a ball playing centre back. He has pace, is strong, good in the air, and can be good positionally, though he does struggle with some partners next to him. That suggests to me that he is very much someone who needs to build up an understanding with the guy next to him. Not a bad thing at all, the best pairings are that way because they build up an understanding. But with Rudiger it is never instinctive, he needs to work at it.

I have added him to the player profiles list for you to give a more complete reply. Now I have finally fixed the cooling issues it had on the CPU I can actually get back to doing some work rather than just having it shut down the moment I try!}

Thanks for the detailed response Ed1, I like your detailed analysis.

I personally like Rudiger myself and I believe he will only get better with time. His become a senior at Chelsea in such a short space of time which is credit to him and it goes someway to show the kind of character he is. I like his passion. I think his pairing with Luiz at times is brilliant. But we all know despite his brilliance, Luiz sometimes can be rash.

{Ed001's Note - I like him too. He is an old fashioned defender and the game has not got enough of those.}

I actually think he’s good on the ball, he looks awkward with short passing but I’ve never seen him misplace a pass. ALso, his long passing isn’t too bad either. Cheers ed1.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I thought I would check out his stats to see, and it shows what I thought, accurate with the simple passes, decent with long passes but the difficult passes (the ones WyScout terms 'smart passes') are the ones he struggles with. The ones that actually matter, in other words, he is just scraping above 50% on those. That was what I mean by meh. He is fine knocking it 5 or 10 yards sideways or into midfield, the easy pass, he can knock it long for a fullback or winger in behind as well. However he struggles to produce the kind of ball Luiz will pick out, the driven through ball or pinpoint cross field ball etc. I didn't mean he was bad, just not a modern day ball player, who is basically a midfielder playing at the back.}

One thing I really like about Rudiger this season, is that he is slowly establishing himself as one of the leaders of the dressing room. He has an impeccable winning mentality, could be a potential captain in the long run. What do you think Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it depends on managers really. He certainly seems capable but different managers have different ideas of what a captain should be.}

I think rudiger is really similar to Cahill in the aspect that he needs a strong CB (who is a leader to play with him) .

Everyone can remember how good was Cahill when played with Terry, i think the same would have been with Rudiger.
