Wouldn’t want him anyway he’s well over rated wouldn’t pay 90 million on an attacker when they only score 5 goals a season we’ve got enough of them in Willian and Pedro.

I’d much prefer Bailey or Malcom and they’d be cheaper.

You should take any rumours where we have to pay 60mil plus with a pinch of salt. It's not in our DNA to spend huge on 1 player. TBH I can see Malcolm happening.

Lemar isn't a cheap player and if a shrewd club like Athletico Madrid is willing to pay the price for a player like Lemar- then Chelsea should have a careful rethink cos it will take an act of god for them to buy any good established player for a cheap sum. There are no good cheap players anymore- whatever policies that they've made about not overpaying for players came so late cos every player is now overpriced.

Leon Bailey's fee has gone up. I read an where Leverkusen rejected a £50m+ from Bayern Munich for him. Every good player is now expensive; this talk of Chelsea not overpaying for any player is a stupid talk on the part of the club- if they want to be strong contenders. To get any good player now, you have to overpay.

I’m not sure about the terms “overpay” or “pay up”?
We have a valuation of a player and the club the player plays for have a valuation.
If they don’t agree on a valuation then NO deal.
I’m very happy for our club to be run on a sound financial footing!
I’m already bored with the continued press speculation about managers and players!

Don't worry the term 'overpay' will soon be clearer to you as the transfer window opens and you see how much money clubs pay for players.

'Pay up' or 'overpay' makes no difference in today's market if you want a good player. Is Pogba worth £89m; is Lukaku worth £90m; is Coutinho worth £100m+; Is Dembele worth £90m+; Liverpool thought they were over paying when they bought Salah for £40m etc? . As at then I would say NO (were the clubs that bought them made to pay up or overpay? ) .
My point is every good player is now expensive and if you want a good player you must pay big-time.

Obinna, so you agree with my post that the terms “overpay” and “pay up” are redundant?
It’s about the clubs agreeing a “valuation” and the player being happy with his financial package.

Mason mount. likely to be loaned to a EPL team? I want him to progress and tbh I would have him on the bench for us BUT imagine him at derby under morris. could be POTY no bother!

would you expect us to loan a player or two to derby now that frank and jody are in charge there? I see Stevie G is constantly linked with the Liverpool youngsters and joey barton is tryin gto sign bookmaker assistants.

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 6th June 2018

Hi Ed’s what do you make of the conte situation?
Do you think there is a chance he could stay.
Do you think he will get his pay off.

I love him for what he has done for our team but I think his heart hasn’t been in it since the end of last season and now it’s time to go.

Am not sure on any of the managers that are currently available. Personally I would want potch or Simone but we ain’t getting either.

Gutted to see Morris go aswell I watch a lot of youth games and he has done well.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I think he is gutted he never got out and took another job when it was offered and now he is just hanging on for as much money as he can get. There is no rush for him to go as there are currently no jobs available for him. Chelsea will have to act soon though.}

06 Jun 2018 06:49:13
Was it PSG who offered him a job?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

06 Jun 2018 07:38:46
Cheers Ed001 so going off that you think he will get paid off. And I thought it was just the players that are mercenaries.

It must be bad between him and the board as surely if both want out they would come to a compensation package to suite all parties.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he doesn't work for Chelsea because he supports them, so of course it is about money for him. Would you give up millions you are entitled to under the terms of your contract? I mean most of us would like to think we would, but when you are in the situation and it is millions that would benefit your own family greatly, why would you just give it up? Different if it was going to go to charity otherwise or some other good cause, but its not, so I can understand why he is standing his ground.}

06 Jun 2018 08:37:55
Yeah I can understand but still if you wanted out your job that badly then you would at least negotiate and be abit more willing to take less.
It would be bad for us and him if he actually stayed his last year because both are being unwilling to settle in my opinion.

If it could all be sorted out as I said I would like him to stay as I am not keen on any other manager available. Do you think it is past that and will not happen at all?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no I don't think it is entirely past that, he just wants to be given say in transfers.}

Thanks for your information ed.
Just one more question.
Do you know who made the decision to loan rlc I read somewhere that conte said he was the best trainer and would pick him first so why did he not pick him.

It was frustrating to see rlc play as a supporting striker when he has played box to box most his youth career.
I hope he does come back into the team as I think he is quality. People will disagree with that but it’s my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Conte agreed with the decision to let him go on loan.}
