A lot of debate regarding midfield players recently. One name that hasn't come up though is Mateo Kovacic.
I know he was already highly rated when he moved to Inter and that probably hasn't changed since.
I saw Ed002 mention on another page that Inter were willing to sell him, so perhaps Chelsea should consider him. No doubt he'd be cheaper than Pogba or Koke and he's certainly talented enough to be bought by the club. I really think he'll be a fantastic player for some big club in a few years.
I'd still prefer Pogba, Koke and even Gomes, but he should be an alternative IMO.
He's also pretty amazing on Fifa for me, crazy ball control and dribbling hahaha :-)

Kovacic is another player I think is good, but what doe he have marco Van Ginkel doesn't?

Jackson, kovacic is a good player but a completely different kind of player compared to the other three and more importantly from what we need.
That said I'll definitely take him over Douglas Costa.

This years premier League has been so poor, we should be further ahead to be completely honest.

You're right, Aron, no team in the Premier League has been fantastic this season. We haven't been playing well since about New Year and still we're top with a lead right now. That says a lot IMO. If we don't lose to United and Arsenal then I think it's pretty safe :)

It's not about "a team" being fantastic this season. I feel this is where the difference lies in the EPL compared to other leagues.Top to bottom there is no "easy" games in the EPL whereas in most if not all other leagues there are those games that are a "give in' for the top sides, where they can rest or rotate players knowing they will still get a result, this is not the case in the EPL, every game is a must win and this does impact on any teams ability to blood the youth players. I think this is unique to English football compared to other leagues.
Aron, the premier league has not been poor, but is contested every minute of every game, which is the big difference compared to other leagues, there is no breathing space and therefore little room to do other than what Jose has done this year which is start the best team at all times.
I will see JT lift that trophy this year and that then gives our club the impetus and revenue to compete next year for further honours, but be very aware the EPL title is the most important.
