Shurrle will be worse than Marin if we sign him,

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Impossible to be worst than Marin atm. Although I do think Schurrle would be a poor signing.

Agree5 Disagree3

Well done slating a player who hasn't been able to hardly play with mata and hazard and has played about 300 minutes of football. But he still has two assists and a goal.

hes not chelsea standard sorry to burst your bubble

Agree1 Disagree4

Oh we have a Marin fan. Yossi gets ahead of him. , Oscar plays out wide instead of him, Bertrand has even played out position instead of him.?

Agree1 Disagree4

You realise that it's Rafa picking the team? So you honestly believe that Marin is that bad based on Rafa not picking him? Rafa probably picks his teams out a hat.

Agree1 Disagree1

Have you ever watched him when he was in germany? he is a good player. with out playing he gets chucked on & expected to be a clone of hazard. that is some preasure.

Team for tomorrow:

Cech

Azpi Terry Luiz Bert

Mikel

Mata Oscar Hazard

Ba Torres

Don't think Benitez has tried this properly yet, tomorrow could be the day it works?

Believable3 Unbelievable6

For a team that's struggled to score goals all year and that now has their top goal scorer out I would stick with 4-2-3-1, if we score 1 goal we should win this game. Not in a position to gamble with a formation that isn't tested and I doubt they've been practicing it in training.

Bit worries that the di canio affect and buzz will make it tough tough game tomorrow

Start both strikers really go for it and then take players like mata hazard Ba

Arsenal win again today, really starting to worry about a top 4 finish. Repercussions of not finishing top 4 don't bear thinking about.

We still have to go to Man U and Liverpool, and Liverpool usually perform well against us at Anfield.

Eds do you think Mourinho would be prepared to join a club who are not in the champions league? It may just scupper our chances of getting a top manager in.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

A win tomorrow and we go above both bid spurs lose. With a game in hand on them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who says Spurs will lose, really wish I had some of your blind optimism.

Agree0 Disagree0

Were we originally due to play spurs next weekend when bale would be out

No champions league next season, no Mourinho, no new absolute top level players and possibly losing our best players. But Rafa can have the Europa League and the F. A. Cup on his c. v. next year as he laughs at us, it's a season of transition but the minimum is top four. We have got what we deserved from this season. What a disaster so far after it promised to be so much more. It is what it is.

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Thats the Spirit!

Agree7 Disagree1

The owner is to blame. He's done a LOT for the club but sacking RDM (and Wilkins) before has left us in the situation we're now facing. Possibly no CL and that will lead to a downward spiral. {Ed002's Note - Again it is a case of comments being made on a subject that people know little or nothing about.}

I have never been one to say 'torres is back'! But on thursday I saw something different. His pace is back! His touch was better, passing improved, confident display all round and a good work rate.

I am pessemistic about him ever making it at chelsea now, and I still highly doubt he will be the torres we all loved a few year back. But if he can do that and get 10 or so more goals before the end of the season, assuming he isn't involved in the falcoa deal, i'd love to keep him 6 more months. A rejuvinated torres is still in the top 3 strikers in the world. I doubt he can, but if so, good luck to him and I will be right behind him.

lets support our lads till the end!

KTBFFH {Ed018's Note - I'm all for supporting everyone on the team but a rejuvinated Torres is no where near one of the top 3 forwards in the world. Hopefully a rejuvinated Torres can help and contribute through the rest of the season}

Another load of rubbish bore off!

Torres says he is commited to chelsea, is there a chance that we would keep him, if he shows signs of getting back to his best. Or will it depend on new manager?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Should get rid

Agree3 Disagree6

I know he has been poor but I would keep until who ever we bring in has settled and is banging them on a regular basis

Agree3 Disagree0

He features in the advertisement for next seasons kit - something that Lampard does not!

Agree3 Disagree0

Its time for him to leave he's not going to achieve much but eat away our budget from his big paychecks. he's going to get very little game time next season with Lukaku coming back and if we finish top four the likes of Falcao and Shurrlle arriving will make it impossible for him to get a good run of games

Agree1 Disagree1

The only way I see Lukaku not going on loan next season would be if we weren't able to bring in the required strikers or if we fail to make the top 4. If we're not in the champs league next season, I don't think we'll be able to bring in such targets as Cavani and Falcao. Which meand I could forsee Lukaku staying and possibly even Torres.

Photoshop, great new technology. FFS

Agree0 Disagree0

No photoshop - check out the official Addidas pictures! Torres, David Luiz & Hazard all feature in one!

Morning ED, not so much a rumour just a question. Will Ruben Lotus-Cheek have a chance to break the first team, or with the wealth of midfielders we have should we expect to lose him? {Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Weath of midfielders? We've been moaning our squad size ain't big enough. Also I expect he'll go out on loan, whilst we sign. A couple more superstars. {Ed002's Note - He won't be going on loan in the summer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He is too young for a loan, is he not?

Agree0 Disagree3

Yes I think so Melbourne

Agree0 Disagree1

Doesn't mean next season or the one after that, but it is what will happen!

What does everyone think about all the sudden Schurrle rumours?

I hope it's not true I've been following leverkusen's results and player ratings and he doesn't look consistent enough to wear a blue shirt. Considering he's a forward and although he does play the majority of his games out wide his goal return hasn't been great.

I mean what does he offer than De Bruyne doesn't? De Bruyne is a couple of years younger and already at the same standard Schurrle is now. He's already cemented his place in the Bremen and Belgian national side which tells you he's rated highly especially with the amount of talent Belgium has coming through.

If this is the 'marquee' signing ambramovich wants this summer then I'm dissapointed because I was hoping for Falcao or Cavani.

I'm praying it doesn't happen or at least if we're going to but another winger who can play as a forward then why not get Marco Reus now he's class.

Have you heard anything new Ed?

CfcBenWxm

Believable10 Unbelievable3

100 percent. I've watched schurrle enough to put me off him.

Agree7 Disagree0

The interest has been there a while Ben. We had two bids rejected last summer, and I think we tried again in jan. he is certainly talented, and I rate him, think he would offer a lot to our squad depth, but certainly not as much as KDB.

Agree2 Disagree4

As I said I've watched him enough to put me off him, and the de bruyne is shining, why do it? Just because he scores a few crackers don't make him worth buying, so many times he could slot a lovely ball through but instead shoots! It's not what we need. BLUEBOY1

Agree3 Disagree0

I wouldn't disagree to buying him as I feel he would offer something different to the team but I certainly wouldn't swap him for KDB. I haven't seen him but I assume he's similar to the way Sturridge played for us judging other peoples comments about shooting instead of passing etc.
