Watching England, 59 mins gone, what total dross.
I know there was supposed to be a tube strike but it's no wonder the attendance is so pitiful.
Southgate has managed to make an England team resemble Middlesbrough! Actually that's not fair on Boro!

England are a team filled with medicore players so i don't know why people are surprised to see medicore performances. Kane is the only world class player on that team. Rashford is a skilful player but has little end product and is shocking with set pieces. He's overrated because he's English and plays well at a club surrounded by world class foreign players, just like Sterling. No matter what manager we have we'll never become a super team. But Thank god it's over now and can watch some proper football. Supporting England has become a chore in recent years.

It's a farce. I mean we won, but my god we were terrible. I am really struggling with Rashford, the guy is amazing sometimes but his movement borders on criminal, yet he was one of our better players! I feel quite sorry for Kane as everyone's delivery was so poor. Anyway though, we're there so can't ask for much more, even though we will get dispatched by any half decent side!

England have a few half decent players who play well for their clubs but are terrible for England, the Man City contingent are good examples. As for Rashford, he's 19. So, e United fans also get frusyraed but he has something and if he continues to develop then he will be some player.

AJH. If buts and maybes! We’ve had a few false dawns at our club and whilst I wish Mr Rashford a prosperous career (as long as he never wins a domestic trophy for Utd) he is just an average player in the Prem league.
He may well be an above average English player but he is not a good class player!
The only player England have at the moment with any quality is Kane!

I noticed the "Barkley for Chelsea in January" comments raising their head again. I cannot in my wildest imagination think that Barkley would be on Conte's radar. He would have no idea of his ability (or lack of) because he has hardly played since Conte has been in England and he hardly made waves across Europe before. If this is someone within Chelsea driving this then you can see why Conte is getting peeved about communication levels. He would add absolutely nothing to our team.

I guess a lot is quickly changing at Chelsea. I feel that coupled with the fact that every English club would gladly have a v. good English national team player like Ross Barkley in their squad; he's cheap for the (his) amount being mentioned. It will be a good opportunity for Chelsea to have another English national good.
So i think that deal is not so bad.

I understand the sentiment regarding English players but I am not so sure about "very good". He has had his moments but then so did Oscar and we do not want someone that is in and out and because he is cheap (ish) . My main point was that I cannot see him being a Conte choice.

Yea u might be right, he doesn't look a Conte's choice. I used the 'v. good' cos I was comparing him with other English players that could be available.

We could hope that some of our loan players have fantastic seasons and are ready for the first team next season!
