Fantastic performance generally however only negative is that we have to put games to bed. Amount of chances missed today was hard to accept and because there was always that feeling that Utd may get the sneaky equalizer which would have hurt.
It's hard to put into words the difference Kante makes. He makes the team click, so influential in defending and attacking. What a terrific player and a humble human. Baka and Fab compliment him really well.
All the rumours about Conte losing his job has to stop. He in my opinion is probably the best manager we have graced at the club. His style of football is beautiful to the eye and the passion is amazing. It would be foolish to sack him. And it would be even more annoying knowing Costa left because of Conte.

Shak, good post and my opinion is, you’ve just about summed it up!
We are still competitive in all of the four competitions and while I think City will be hard to catch, I do honestly believe we are the only team that can catch them.
I’ve been saying all along Conte is a manager we can trust and equally as important we can be proud that he is our manager. No embarrassing crap!

I feel a lot more optimistic now that we have Kante back. What a game changer he is. Atleast Conte can have a nice international break now, last few weeks have been tough on him. The media have got it in for him. Every game has that added pressure and I am chuffed to see that the players are 100% behind him.

I’m not sure but haven’t Utd only got one win (against Spurs) in the last four Premiership games?
Surely the media and pundits will start putting the pressure on Jose. It must be a team in crisis?

Fantastic performance, Kante how we’ve missed you. If bakayoko didn’t panic and bit when in the final third he could’ve had a couple he was brilliant other than that. Morata was a handful with a fantastic goal but again could’ve had more. Defence sold, love Christensen. Fabregas doing what he does best. If we play like that the rest of the season we can challenge on all fronts. COYB.

Dominated the performance. Could have been far more comfortable had Bakayoko passed to Morata and if Morata had finished the chance at the end. Also really think the Jones OG should have stood as it wasn’t a push at all. Overall a really solid game, even at the end with United really pushing we seemed pretty comfortable.

That's our formation now, cesc can ply football, Kante covers and bakyoko looked like the player he was at Monaco, superb performance, Christensen, whoa had Lukaku in his pocket, build defence around him for future, should of been 3/ 4 goals thou.

Excellent performance, Man Utd were poor but we looked good. Our Achilles Heel is still putting the ball in the net. A game we should have closed out was decided by a brilliant cross and header; we need to be more clinical. My man of the match was Kante. First game back and he played like two midfielders, absolutely everywhere. Given the way Luiz has been performing, reacting and niggling again I thought Christensen deserves a run in the team, steady and no over reaction and niggling fouls.

Agree Bobby. We were on form today. Mid 3 really work for us that's when Fab is at he's best. Would love to end the season top 3.I think we can di it. Manu out of top 4 even better.

It’ll give us less going forward but harder to breakdown. Plus let’s us press and not be to open like v Atletico, I’ve seen your positivity on here to mate but I’m little worrried, more for backlash of media etc just adds to the circus of what looks like they want us to sack another manager, morata needs a goal.

The press and pundits always have Chelsea on the edge of a crisis but to be honest we haven’t helped ourselves by sacking managers so often. Having said that we have had huge success so it’s hard to argue that hard about the logic.
Agree Morata needs a goal. All strikers have baron patches but any old goal would do, even a Tommy Harmee of the arse special.

I’m on the way back home after today’s game and yet again I’m confused! We are supposed to a team in crisis, with a manager with one foot out of the door but it’s the Jose super team that have been left again in the wake of the magic man that is Conte!
How frustrating it must be for all of the visiting Utd fans down from Surrey when they see their team only playing when they are 1-0 down and then reverting to a long ball game. What a tactical genius Jose is?
Also how lucky are we to have dodged the Lukaku bullet? He is a lazy bit of rubbish!
