How would people feel if Torres stayed, but played as a winger?

Are you serious? We have de bruyne and Moses or even a actuAlly sued Marin.

His wages are astronomical. We could take those wages off and pay for a quarter of the squad.

Id be happy keeping torres if he halved (or maybe more) his wages. they're too high for a squad player

Now, I'm going to be the awkward one here to say that Rafa has actually done well in the midst of adversity. Stepping into the lions' den wasn't going to be easy and he's proven what a tough character he is. Granted we've had some bad results, but this is a team in transition. He actually won Barclay's Manager of the Month twice in 5 months! Two wins out of the next three and we shd get 3rd. Fan hostility toward Rafa and the atmosphere at the Bridge affected results so badly, much like shooting urself in the foot! Thank God we realized earlier though. Beating Fergie so many times this season is a thing of joy. And finally Rafa, two more league wins plus the Uefa cup and u could go down as my hero, just maybe.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Yes I must admit Raffa has done a good job. I wonder if he will be considered for the permanent job. Proitos
Agree0

Let's be honest the players obviously like him, if we qualify in third and win the europa cup the he has succeeded despite everything being against him. Oh sorry he once said some nasty things about us. Sorry I forgot what a nasty man.
Agree0

Only thing I like what raga has done was Luiz in midfield. Other than that all I care for is the club.

05 May 2013 22:45:05
Good squad management/rotation; dropping Mikel most of the time; shifting Luiz to midfield; being firm with Terry and Lamps yet keeping them happy. The man is a top professional.

What a joke, we beat a poor utd and all of a sudden the waiter goes from being some pantomime villan into the messiah, it's embarrassing!

@basics.
to theperson who said about the poor united team was spot on. united played with a lack of willingness. and looked sluggish, a shadow of the team that has played all season. I'm not the biggest rafa fan nor do I hate him, but he certainly did not "mastermind a victory"

ed what strikers are Chelsea interested in other than falcao and cavani? {Ed002's Note - There have been a number of forwards the club has looked at including the likes of Schurrle and Yilmaz. I am not going to start writing lists.}

05 May 2013 20:38:42
Fergie actually said that Webb favored us today! Hilarious. Personally I don't think it was a foul on Rooney but even if it was, in comparison to the amount of fouls that Utd got away with, one could call it Karma.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Even if it was a foul it was virtually impossible to see unless you look back on the camera, looked like a fair tackle
Agree0

Bias opinion for a bias person, as expected. We won, no need to make up nonsense.

Man united can moan all they like. The game that changed our season was against united. It's justice!
Agree0

Yes, we can moan all we like as we polish title number 20.
AJH

Exactly AJH, I fail to see why you need to moan about games that are of no importance to your season. The fact that Fergie feels the need to moan about made up nonsense is funny.

Oscar poor? It wasn't going to be an easy game. Yet he got an "assist"! Get off his back and spend more time supporting the team at this very crutial stage.

Ivanovic and azpiliueta for me. BLUEBOY1

Oscar hasn't had a rest for nearly 2 full seasons give him a break!

Agree, both Ivanovic and Azpilicueta had a good game.
JG
Agree0

I'd say the entire back line and Cech did very well today with what they were faced with. Rami and lamps still look uncomfortable together for obvious reasons. Moses was Moses and ba was pretty isolated most of the game. Mata wasn't at his brilliant best but he had a good game. For me Oscar was slow on the ball at times, gave it away cheaply at times, and overall I feel he could have done more with the opportunities he had. I still think he will be a brilliant player (although I think he should stay in the front 3) but today wasn't his best day.

What a surprise Howard Webb is giving us nothing today. 3 or 4 clear fouls. Needs to get his head out of his ass and pay attention
Believable0
Unbelievable0
The Moses one for sure, but at the end then surely we should have had that freekick. Not even a minute stoppage time! Bs
Agree0
Disagree0
And now a clear foul on Luiz from Giggs, even Neville is saying why did HOward Webb not give that. Absolute joke
Agree0
Disagree0
And Giggs on Luiz. Either its a dive or a foul and yet he gives nothing. He knows it's not a dive but doesn't want to give a foul so gives nothing.
Agree0
Disagree0
Howard Webb needs to be banned from refereeing any Manchester United matches and any matches that affect Utd'd title chances in the future. His bias is obvious to everyone.
Agree0

It is absolutely appalling that he keeps getting games.
Tk
Agree0

My favourite is the one where he doesn't give utd a freekick until we are on the counter attack
Agree0

I was just saying that exactly. As soon as we get into a 3-1/4-3 any sort of break, he calls for a phantom foul 30 seconds beforehand.

We're you there. Guess not. How many games this season, home and away in Europe, two games a week for gods knows how many months. Life's tough and games are pricey even the most loyal supporter has been pushed this year and there's the small matter of a final in holland. We have great supporters always have had. But I guess you've only been following for the las 5 years.
Agree0

Been following chelsea all over the country since 1990 and my bro and nephew were there today whos been doing the same for 40 years. To give excuses for not selling out 3000 tickets for a game this important is pathetic. I think your the Johnny come lately, not me. used to take more to the likes if forest and sheff wed away when we were garbage.

Can't believe we have 4 defenders on the bench and leave Marin out for no reason. Even IF he's complete b******* I'd rather have him on the bench than 4 defenders. Hell put Boga or anyone attacking on the bench.

Gk- Cech, courtios, Blackman.
Lb- cole, Bertrand or van aanholt.
Rb- azpilicueta, Wallace or kalas.
Cb- terry, Cahill, ivanovic, omoreu or new signing hummels.
Def mid- luiz, challobah, Romeu.
Other mid- ramires, Oscar, mceachran, lampard.
Att trio- mata, hazard, de bruyne, Moses, Marin, new signing ISCO.
Striker- lewandawski, lukaku, ba.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Wallace will be in the reserves next year, as Ed has pointed out he is very good at attacking but needs complete defensive training.
Omoreu wouldn't gain a work permit for next year so will be on another loan.
Challobah is most likely to be loaned out to a premiership club next year
De Bruyne is also most likely to be loaned out next year.
Isco is a long shot atm Schurrle is a lot more likely
Chelsea don't have an interest in Lewandowski
Agree0
Disagree0
Who for right back then? I know about omeruo, but he did have a good afcon. He should get it. Challobah is young, but why not init? He's head and shoulders in championship. I don't like schurrle one bit, silly signing in my opinion if we do it, especially as we have de bruyne. Ifalcao or cavani will do me.

Tk
Agree0

A ten years younger JM! By that I mean a young, ambitious, hungry for success and first class man manager and tactician. Surely, there must be somebody (By the way no, I do not think AVB was the one). Proitos
Agree0
Disagree0
I don't think it really matters whether he is young or old. I would love to see Mourinho back at Chelsea not only because of his skills in managing a club but also the ability to have every single individual, being player or fan, support the team 100% and that may be all we need to be at the top of the league again just like the old times. This, along with a new striker of course!
Agree0
Disagree0
JM is one of hungriest, most ambitious managers the world has ever seen. What does age have to do with it. Listening to some fans, football should be played only by people under 25, and all managers should quit at 50. Ridiculous. JM is a step forward for any club in world football. How is that different for us, just because he has managed us before?
