Dream on Varane won't be leaving Madrid. Real ain't Porto. We already have a Varane in Kenneth Omeruo and I believe he could get a chance under Mourinho. Omeruo's got potential to be as good as Terry was with much pace and very good with his feet.

He doesn't have a work permit and obtaining one would be very difficult atm

this sure brings back memories, failure to win at home whilst you play 10 men with a goal up - On the other hand we the blues play the whole second half with 10 men plus a 2 goals down and still we were able to draw away - that is the difference between the blues and the red devils.

Difference is Terry deserved his red against Barca. Nani's was harsh. Credit where it is due, Utd gave it everything after the second goal and Diego Lopez made good saves towards the end.

If you look at the incident from the goal camera angle you can tell that Nani sees Aurelio. Regardless of whether it was an accident or not, his leg was high and his studs were up. Deserved red.

If that Nani challenge was Terry they would be saying what a dirty disgrace he was. Nani didn't mean to do it fair enough and a red was harsh but the outcry by the media and the fact the players and manager acted like they did will be excused because they've had an 'injustice' against them.

No excuse, remember vs Barca in 09'? That was a disgrace and injustice doesn't quite cut it. Hope UEFA throw the book at them. What goes around comes around. Scott M.

Ed002, with the way Mourinho acted towards Sir Alex Ferguson and the Manchester United fans, do you think the notion of him returning to Chelsea can be discarded?Do the people at the club still have the concerns over Mourinho that they used to have Ed?Thank you.

Got to love united fans giving out about the ref.
Someone on there page said it was the biggest injustice he's ever seen!
Oh the irony.

Well if the ref didn't make any mistake today, RDM would have gotten a pen and utd 2 red cards.

Actually if its the one I think it is they said they biggest injustice since you went out to Barcelona in 2009 when you had that Norwegian T**T as the ref. there's a massive difference.

Guys guys guys its quiet clear to me that Jose is coming back to Chelsea the reasons being
1) He just isn't uniteds kind of manager to controversial simple as that!
2) Jose gets on too well with SAF to consider City plus he's not keen on Manchester
3) He loves London, he loves Chelsea and he has blue blood

To be honest guys I'm not sure if I'd like Jose back at the bridge. He seems a lot more quiet in recent times. That's character and ego he possesses used to make him what he is. It maybe just me but he seems a shadow of the man he was a few years ago.

Ed 002 Gourlay is quoted as saying he expects 2 or three signings in the summer.
Does that chime with what you have heard?
If so which positions would that cover?
Maybe 2 strikers and 1 midfield?
Thanks
S. S. {Ed002's Note - The players the club has shown an interest in have been discussed regularly. Don't hang off ever word people say in interviews.}

ed ron gourlay, has said he expects 2/3 new signings in by the 17th of july, (im quoting him), so I guess positions and and names are in place, just waiting for the transfer window to open so they can cross the t's and dot the i's, am I right do they already know who they want and have spoken to agents and middle men, and basically agreed?. because if not I find it strange for some one in his position to say he expects the players in by a certain date and go on record saying it? cheers eds {Ed002's Note - You are making far too much of what he said.}

Eduardo - in the hypothetical situation Mourinho were to return as Chelsea manager, would you see that influencing the future of Michael Essien? I've seen it mentioned in the past he's likely to be moved on - yet Mourinho's used him a fair bit for Real.
I like Essien, would be a shame to see him leave.
(This is purely based on IF Jose were to return, I know you won't be drawn on likelihoods) {Ed002's Note - No idea.}

Ed002, if Mourinho returns to Chelsea this summer do you believe Chelsea would be interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid and do you think there would be any chance of it happening?
Many thanks - James13 {Ed002's Note - No.}

Hey Ed, over the past few months you've stayed away from answering any managerial questions regarding Chelsea FC. Now that Rafa Benitez has publicly admitted that he will be leaving at the end of the season, can you give us any managerial update for us fans? Is Mourinho still high up on the list or do you see Conte or Pellegrini getting the job ahead of him? Thanks in advance.
WelshBlue7 {Ed002's Note - I told you when Benitez arrived he would only be at the club until the end of the season, so nothing has changed.}

I saw a similar post on here recently and I have been thinking the same thing for such a long time. Chelsea does not need a striker like falcao or cavani, what we need is someone who can rotate and inter mix with mata, hazard, and oscar. someone who has the technical ability to play at the top of the box and create their own opportunities. maybe falcao can provide this but we really need someone like aguero or messi like. my first choice would be jovetic.

When some of us first said it, they gave us a lot of stick here. In Daniel Sturridge u have such a forward who can get better by playing. But em em, not at Chelsea!

Cavani is pretty similar to Sturridge but there isent a lot of messi/aguero types around that is world class.
