Can anyone explain why there are reports of us getting a 3 window ban? I don't understand why appealing to CAS would result in FIFA adding an extra window.

I'm all for serving the ban, but adding an extra window to our punishment because we appeal seems to be a bit tyrannical.

Seems stupid to me, papers make out it’s a game show, you can appeal and walk away with a window to sign or in box number two lose appeal and be hit with extra window ban.
From what I’ve seen ueafa have been well over the top and unfair to us, I can’t see why we wouldn’t appeal and have the chance to clear our name and/ or at least give us a window to add prepare,

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with UEFA.}

*fifa, is there anything you can say Ed. Risk of additional window ban seems strange if appealed, do you think CFC are guilty and if so treated fairly, we all speculate which must frustrate you as none of us seem to grasp what’s happening, with the like of hazard etc on way out should we be worried?

{Ed002's Note - I am not keen to share anything.}

I assume an extension to the initial ban imposed by F. I. F. A would be issued by C. A. S themselves. I guess this would be due to them deeming Chelsea's appeal frivolous.
It's a ridiculous thing to be able to impose but I think that might be what Matt Law is referring to.

KTBFFH!

There's president for CAS freezing similar bans. And ed01 has implied that we are being treated poorly. So I think we will likely get a freeze (assuming we want one)

I know all this talk about Sarri and Hazard is driving us all nuts and we have a CAS appeal to deal with etc etc etc but take a minute to think that Lamps, Jody and JT could take up the reins. For me I’ve always wanted us to have a “fergie” in the modern era and the ban (if upheld) seems like a perfect opportunity to take the punt, I know some say Frank is not ready and I’m not disagreeing but maybe it’s less about him being ready and more about us looking to develop an identity and initiative which the club had tried to do with Maurizio.

Frank will tell you how Mourinho changed his career and how work is what made him what he was, he was never the most gifted lad but he became it! The best midfielder in premier league history. I really love the thought of an 05 reminiscent 4-3-3 with lamps and JT on the sidelines, though we’d be hard pushed to find another Robben!

Today's stories, hazard talks broke down with Chelsea not budging on asking price, and also o is close to being sold to athletico Madrid,
My take, only a matter of time re hazard, fair play to Chelsea for wanting the max price we can, and would we sell Alonso with a transfer ban?

If you believe that you'll believe anything
Chelsea won't risk him going for nothing and why would he go to athletic when all he wants is a move to real they won't buy a player who openly wants to play for there rivals.

Just read your post again mate your spell check has made out hazard is going to athletic haha sorry old mate.

We know he's off and we know Sarri's off. Just a matter of when, not if. Would like this to be sorted out sooner rather than later as it's very boring seeing the same stories being recycled every other day. Unfortunately i expect it to go on a while longer, nothing's ever simple at Chelsea. As for Alonso i'd still sell and have Dasilva and Emerson as our LB options.

CHO making good progress from his injury and may return sooner than expected. Also be prepared for him to sigh a 5 year contract soon.

Ed001 do you think bielsa would be good for Chelsea I like his style of football and would there be any interest
I just hope it's not allegri couldn't cope with that conte style defensive football again I liked conte as a person though
Bielsa would be my first choice then the wolves manager who would you think would be a good choice.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I don't know of any interest from Chelsea and I am not sure he would be the right fit. He is extremely volatile and would be almost certainly another short-term manager. I love Bielsa and he is a great coach, inspirational for other coaches in particular, but he wants things his way or he walks away.

I think Nuno Espirito Santo would be excellent, but I doubt Wolves would let him go and it doesn't seem like it would be the right time for him to want to leave them either.

Personally I think the best option, though would be difficult to get as well, is the Atalanta manager Gasperini. A fantastic coach who does not need to spend money to make progress. Right now, with a transfer ban, a coach like him, who is willing to work with what he has and improve them, is probably the best choice.

Failing that, I do love to watch Quique Setien teams and he is out of work. You would not have to worry about defensive football with him!!! It would be entertaining and, as a neutral, he would be the one I would most like to see take charge.}

05 Jun 2019 08:34:13
Thanks Ed great response I thought that about bielsa headstrong guy borderline mad but that's what is appealing about him
Gasperini i don't know of him. but sounds like a good fit for what we need right now. so I will hope for him on your advice Ed no pressure, haha enjoy your day fella.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Gasperini took Atalanta into the Europa League for the first time in their history a few years back and they gave Everton a torrid time. This season he led them to a Champions League place for the first time in their history and he has done it on a shoestring compared to the rest.

Have a good day mate.}

05 Jun 2019 10:53:46
Gasperini would be incredible, his work with Atalanta is a miracle and he finds gems everywhere.

05 Jun 2019 11:43:36
Gasperini also signed a new deal last week or so if I'm not wrong, Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't know but I did say he would be difficult to get. He rejected Roma recently. But Chelsea is a whole different kettle of fish to Roma. No one wants to work with that gimp Pallotta.}

05 Jun 2019 13:45:42
Haha Ed like the reply.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - thanks mate, I dislike Pallotta. Such a dick he is.}

05 Jun 2019 13:51:55
Ed 1 other thing are there coaches out there or managers that see Chelsea as a complete no no because of our recent record with managers sacking or leaving or court cases over wages and negativity from fans
Everything seems so controversial all the time
What managers if any did or have turned cfc down in recent years
Just curious.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't know of any that see the club in that vein. Chelsea have got a very good reputation in that respect, the club itself tends to treat staff very well as a rule. Though a few ex-medical staff might disagree with that assessment!}

05 Jun 2019 14:25:43
Thanks Ed puts things into perspective I'm very happy to hear that. media has a lot to do with negativity I suppose thanks again for response.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the media like to focus on negatives mate.}

05 Jun 2019 15:22:20
Ed, just wondering. What do you make of rumors suggesting that the club could look to Steve Holland to come in as head coach?

He's only worked as an assistant before, so wondering what you would think about a risky appointment like that?

Not that I think they'd actually choose him, but hypothetically.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he has done well as an assistant but I would find it an odd choice as a head coach. Very good coach, but not sure he has the right amount of authority about him to make the step up.}

05 Jun 2019 16:02:40
I'm thinking he'd be an excellent guy to get back if we were getting an inexperienced head guy in like Lampard for example.

But I do share you opinion that he'd probably not be the best choice.

I'm so hoping they can get someone good : ( losing Sarri is hard enough as it is. I'd love Gasperini but that's not happening. Nuno I'm not sure on. His Wolves team was impressive against the big guns when countering, but in matches they had to take the initiative they often struggled. So that's not ideal.

Sigh, never a boring summer at Chelsea I suppose.
