I know people are likely to say that Ramires is wasted on the wing, but it seemed to work under RDM and his explosive speed could be priceless down the wing for counter attacks.

I'm sorry PR! But having two holding midfielders is too much IMO. With this team there will be no need to defend and I would fully trust mikel and Ramires to sufficiently defend. They are meant to be box to box players so I'm sure they could handle it

Mikel couldn't be a box to box midfielder in my opinion, he's too slow and couldn't hit a barn door with a shotgun.

Seems the most likliest team and subs for me next year although the team would change depending on the opposition we would play.I would love us to sign Martinez or M'vila althoguh Mikel has been great these past months either of those player's would take us a step further in the right direction what do you think ED018?

I completely agree with this post 100%. I hate saying that mikel would be better than lamps in that role but it's true as lamps won't be able to get forward anymore and having mikel could actually free rami a little bit. That being said I'd love a player added there.

Ive been hearing whispers RA is meeting with Guardiola at the end of this week to discuss a deal.

Everything is pointing to that in my opinion. There is a big silence with regards to the manager's vacancy. If Pep was a dead end a new manager would have been announced by now. This week or next at the latest things will clear up greatly. Proitos

Why are people so desperate for us to sign a new stirker? Didi may be gone but we have torres and now hazard as well as an amazing player in lukaku, who given some actual playing time, could very possibly be a better player than drogba!

Great team, though I am a bit concerned that fellow fans have called van der wiel ' Bosingwa in disguise '. I have not seen him play though just going on what others say

Good team otherwise, may see fernando instead of lampard.

At the moment it would like that way mate, Im still unsure about VDW or Cesar A. but it would look like Marseille want to keep him. Im happy either way, i know people are slating VDW at the moment but hes only young and a dutch international so i would be very happy should he sign!

Other than that the team looks to pick it self and i must say that front four with Rami bursting through midfield looks to be very promising.

Also a bench of: Cahill, Ivanovic, Mikel, Romeu, Sturridge and Marin also looks extremely strong

Come on the Blues lets win the league this year and show the prem who is boss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it was be who used that term 'bosingwa in disguise.' honestly I have watched him enough times to say that he is all hype. remember how bosingwa scored that goal vs norwich at the start of the season? pretty much the same as vdw. few great attacking performances and apparently he is the best in the world. in all fairness however, there are not many good rb's in the world at the moment (if anyone says Dani Alves - you deserve to be shot). but ivanovic's agent just came out today and said he's going nowhere so maybe he will settle as being rb? lets hope so cause hes a beast

Other than the obvious deals (Hulk, VDW, Hazard) do you see Chelsea waiting until the transfer window opens now before making and more real approaches? Just all seems to have gone a little quiet appart from the same old rumours circulating around. Have we given up on Moura and Falcao?

So, I live in Australia. One of the main sports here, is Rugby League. They play from march till october once a week. European football clubs play twice a week for basicaly 9.5 to 10 months a year. I already miss the epl.

So glad to hear thw Hazard transfer confirmed, like we all were i knew it was coming just wanted it over and done with so that it was guarenteed.

I believe Hazard will be a great addition to the squad after he has had a little time to get used to the Premier League. He is fast, skillful and creative and is sure to not only create but score plenty of goals for the Champions Of Europe. I dont like to focus on the negatives but one of the main ones is his strength and he may be "bullied" off the ball by his opponents, but on the other hand Mata is also small and doesnt carry much strength along with Ramires and we all saw how big a players they were for us last season.

Ive heard people talking about how Hazard was "quiet" and "crap" against England on Saturday (majority of these were United fans so are therefore jealous of our incredible capture). I for one believe Hazard was proberbly one of Belgiums best players on Saturday, he didnt get the ball often but when he did he opened up parts of the England defence, created opportunities and his movement was fantastic. He may not have played so well due to the players around him, Belgium dont have the biggest names but if he is put in a team that includes Mata, Ramires, Lamps, Torres and hopefully Hulk his flair and creativity can actually lead to goals. We must remember Hazard was up against JT and Cole for lots of the game, so obviously he was up against 2 of the best defenders in the World, which cant surely be an easy job.
