Yes all day long. We play holding midfielders that don't hold, in kante you have a energetic player who will not go missing and stays protecting the centre halfs. I think I agree with one of the eds that kante could be more beneficial to the team than pogba would.

Witsels game against Wales was absolute puss. Money could be spent better elsewhere.

I would 100% take Kante over Matic, not only is he great in the holding role but his passing is also excellent, he always try to pass forward unlike Mikel who goes sideways or backwards. I also don't rate Witsel, he doesn't do enough.

I'd swap Kante and Gomes for Matic. I think if we just replaced Matic with Kante we'd still be in a similar position even though Kante is more defensive.

I would take Kante instead of Matic BUT the reported offer of £18m given some of the fees kicking around strikes me as derisory. I cannot for the life of me see anything in Witsel that Conte would find appealing, there are far better people on offer.

As others have said if it's one or the other then I would take Kante; however without selling anybody we currently need a box to box mid so selling Matic would need a replacement. And I too think that Witsel doesn't bring anything to the table and we'd be better off looking at other players.

Couple of questions if you don't mind eds,
With juve interested in matic, do they still have an interest in Oscar also.
2- Do you believe pogba will move this summer?
3- there is a lot of talk about kante accepting Chelsea's offer, can you tell us if the club has spoken to Leicester and his agent.
4- lastly other than morata, is there anyone new the club will look to sign other than the usual Lukaku, higuain etc.

Off course he will use Matic the same way he was using DeRossi in Italian squad in front of him he will have 4 midfielders, most probably Willian on the right and Kennedy on the left as first choice, with Fabregas and Oscar as 2 offensive central midfielders. Off course 2 strikers upfront. There's a big possibility that he might use Hazard as offensive central midfielder the same way he used Giacherini. Chelsea could be very powerful next season.
