Well with incomings and outgoings I'm going to predict the squad for next year. I actually hope Mikel stays now as being homegrown. Chalobah didn't do nothing for me when I watched him in the summer. I'd love Griezmann but I doubt it will happen so this is what I think it will look like.

GK: Courtois, Begovic, Blackman

RB: Ivanovic

LB: Azpilicueta, Rahman

CB: Terry, Zouma, Cahill, Kalas/Ake/Christensen?

CM: Matic, Fabregas, Ramires, Loftus-Cheek, Mikel

AM: Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Cuadrado/Turan, Brown

ST: Diego Costa, Remy, Falcao

I'll be over the moon with Begovic. Rahman looks a good young left back who could rotate for a couple of years and then replace Branna with Azpilicueta going back to RB. Although I've heard Roma are very interested in him. The development of RLC will be a big factor in the squad this season also. Don't know about Turan really, doesn't add what we've already got to the squad if we sign a winger if prefer someone who could add goals even off the bench maybe Pedro? I hope Remy stays he just needs to play a lot more.

Mikel is not homegrown, you should research the criteria to be classed homegrown.

{Ed018's Note - correct. Mikel is not homegrown}

Aron I would add scheiderlin to DM list as he has PL experience. Anyway I believe we can go this season with romeu or van ginkel as replacement for mikel and I believe we still could be good enough

Goalkeepers should be as you've got them. Begovic will be a great 2nd keeper.

Rahman looks like he could be going Roma - I'd happily keep Luis with not many other options available. Christiansen, Ake and Kalas all look set for loans. We could do with another defender - Stones would be perfect for me but Everton would no doubt dig their heels in.

As pointed out Mikel isn't homegrown, I think he'll be off this summer. I'd see him replaced with someone like Song - can't see much else happening with the midfield.

I do think Cuadrado will have till January to show some form, but would like to see Brown have a Championship loan - it's his next logical step. Add Griezmann in here and it's a world class set of wingers / attacking midfielders.

I can't see Remy staying - he'd be first choice in a lot of other teams. Costa and Falcao with Griezmann also able to play there should be enough - especially if Traore and / or Bamford remain with the team. I'd like to see Austin join the club but think he will ultimately end up at West Ham.

Sorry I forgot about Mikel not being homegrown. i'd love Stones to replace JT but until then he won't get enough games to develop here. I'd like to see us try and get a pre-agreement with him but leave him at Everton on loan for another year or two. Not overly keen on Austin. I'd like Bamford third choice especially if we can get a Pedro/Griezmann type player who can also play there.

In an ideal world I'd like to see Stones signed and loaned back for a season - he and Zouma would give us a potential CB partnership for a decade.

Ed's do you see the restrictions on both City and PSG being lifter having any impact on how Chelsea do their business this summer? Will it force their hand to move quicker on their targets?

{Ed018's Note - I wouldn't think so}

I might be wrong but were those restrictions always going to be lifted then? As I understood it the punishment lasted a year, could be wrong though.

From what I understand (could be wrong) it was a case that if they settled their books to a required amount then their restrictions would be reviewed - which they were and subsequently the restrictions were lifted. I'd imagine they still have to box clever though - don't want to fall foul of it again.

Austins proven to me hope Bamford does get a shot in time to come should loan him to prem team first for experience

Would not exactly be a good career move for Austin when he can go to another Premiership club. Why come here to be behind Costa and Falcao, when he could be first choice striker elsewhere.

Agree with Sid that I'd be surprised if he was even interested. I'd rather have traore back them up as he provides a greater threat to get in behind than do costa and falcao.
