Hi Ed, belated happy new year. I know you don't like doing running commentary but is there anything you can say re: the permanent manager position at Chelsea at the moment, has anything changed past appointing Hiddink to buy time to make a proper decision?

{Ed002's Note - As I have explained the club will look at options it has available - there is no secret that they know that certain potential managers will have several options available.}

A loan move to Bournemouth for Patrick Bamford would, in my view, be ideal for the lad. I think he's been unlucky at Palace, once he starts to hit the back of the net in the BPL, and gets his confidence, he'll do so regularly. I really hope he does well, wherever he ends up, in the rest of the season and can join the Chelsea squad next year.

What do people think we should do this Jan with regards to strikers? Costa is, finally, looking sharp again but Remy looks to be off and Falcao looks woefully poor. It's an area the club seemingly have to add to in the next few weeks should the right player come available.

Costa will go to so we need 2/ 3 forwards imo.

Hi Ed02,

Happy new year.

Do we have any interest in Riyad mahrez?
He reminds me of Duff and Roben in early days in chelsea.

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

With Texeria possibly joining and Chelsea on the limit of overseas players in the squad who is likely to make way? I can't see anyone being allowed to leave with us still in europe other than Remy and that I guess would be dependent on a striker replacing him who would need to be a registered home grown? Bamford and Solanke are not ready yet so who?

Morning Eds,

What's the hold up with the Alex Texeria deal? Is it just a case of the clubs agreeing a fee now? And if they do will he get a work permit?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Adam.

{Ed002's Note - There is no hold up, what makes you think there is?}

05 Jan 2016 08:26:26
Can't tell you if it's just the clubs agreeing a fee now. But regarding the work permit rules, I thought it changed in that every player that a certain fee is paid for (say around 10 million) or a player who commands a certain salary gets a work permit without issue. I think Teixeira wouldn't have a problem obtaining one.

{Ed002's Note - There is no hold up or delay.}

05 Jan 2016 08:36:47
Ahh ok. Just thought with us in talks with his club for what seems months I thought it would be sewn up fairly quickly in the new year.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - It does not work like that - and the person who has done the negotiation is in Brazil dealing with another matter right now.}

05 Jan 2016 08:44:01
Jackson, I think Texeira would get an exceptional talent work permit?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - You need to stop all of this misinformed discussion about work permits please.}
