If we end up with Falcao in the summer, I guess we'll have to expect a different set up of formation and personnel. I find it hard to believe that a 4-2-3-1 set up could work with the players we've got.

Falcao is a very skilfull predator up front, but he's built like Aguero. And wathching Man City with Aguero as a lone striker you tend to notice the obvious physical shortcomings.

Basicly those are the same problems which we face every time we play with the little guys and Torres. Of course Falcao ain't Torres, but he offers no aerial threat, hence minimising the crossing chances into the box, making wing players less effective and pushing them into the middle, trying to "pass into" area, or shoot from outside the box. That's what makes us predictable now and that is exactly what posdible arrival of Falcao does not solve.

Have you ever actually watched Falcao play? For a smaller guy, his aerial ability is amazing! Definitely better in the air than FT, so that's something.

Man Falcao is an amazing at heading the ball.

JG m8 he is lethal in the air and has a big jump and excellent positional play which allows him to get in heading positions. Falcao isn't the speedster Aguero is and they play totally different games, Aguero drifts to the channels often where as Falcao stays around the edge of the box. Two different strikers with different physiques and different attributes m8.

An amazing header of the ball? Where? On youtube playing in Primera? Did you see their marking? If you watched Torres header against Aston Villa you would think he's the second coming of Drogba.

How many actual games of Falcao have you watched? Colombia, Atletico, Porto?

A lot of doom and gloom surrounding us at the minute but if you look at the bigger picture we have won the last 2 FA youth cups. We have got brilliant youngsters who are getting good experience Chalobah at Watford, Piazon at Malaga, Ake and Feruz. These 4 boys will be proper footballers add to that De Bruyne, Courtois, Lukaku who I expect to come back in the near future. Mata, Hazard, Oscar and Luiz have all got years ahead of them. We are finally doing it right, we are buying them young and getting them out on loan giving them much needed experience. Even if some of these players aren't good enough for Chelsea they will have a better sell on value. People on another post going on about Utd giving youth a chance ie: Rooney, Jones, Cleverley etc but what they forget is Rooney was already established at Everton, Jones at Blackburn and Cleverley only came back to Utd last season after spending time at Wigan. We have to be patient but Chelsea have got a massive future.

It was me referring to Manchester United and the words should not be taken out of context. It was being said that our guys are too young to start for the first team while they are 18-21. Because of "look at how good are Arsenal and Liverpool while doing it".

All of the United team, except for mature imports such as Van Persie, Valencia, Carrick, Evra, Vidic and Young -were starting for United aged 18-22.

That is Rooney, Jones, Christiano Ronaldo, Nani, Smalling, Scholes, Giggs, De Gea, Rafael, Chicarito, Cleverley, Evans, Anderson, Danny Wellbeck.

I guess you get the pattern here. Whilst we are stuck with the team full of overpaid, useless guys who we even can't dump out and tend to keep all of our talent away from Chelsea. Who knows, maybe we surely want to protect them kids from the mess that we are.

It is the present that worries me. Who is going to keep it all together and make the young players jell together? Raffa? Emenalo? Proitos.

Some other club managers, according to our actions. Not sure of the gel factor, though.

Maybe our wingers come centre either because they don't trust Torres! Or because mata, hazard and Oscar all wanna be the number 10! I pick bot of these. BLUEBOY1

I'm reading all the posts about the availability and poss return of Jose so let's just think for a minute. Ed 002 has made it very clear that Jose will almost certainly not be at Real come June and that we would be interested in his return. He has also stated that the relationship between Jose and Roman is good. What sets Jose apart from others (not all) is his loyalty to his players and the loyalty he receives in return, this is what is required at a club like ours (or Real or Barca) with the egos that are in place in the playing ranks.
I just can't see him going to man united (Fergie won't retire yet) or Man City (Mancini is no mug manager) and I feel the loyalty factor and the fact that he didn't win the one trophy that HE wanted with us (Champs League) will see him back with us next year. I might also add that he and Rafa didn't get on and I'm sure he'd love to take over and prove result wise how much better he is than Rafa.
Sorry for the long post but whichever way I look at it I can't see anything other than Jose back next season, it just makes perfect sense.

So Europol say a match was fixed in the Champs League in England in the last 3-4 years? wouldn't be the Chelsea v Barca match where 4 clear pens weren't given was it? If its found to be true I hope Chelsea sue the socks off Fifa and UEFA and get a full apology from the media and FA not to mention all the fines paid back and loss of earnings. Scott M.
