Unlike others I believe in our players much more than I have faith in Mourinho. Cheers

Just out of interest if we were to sign a new CB who would you sign realistically. Varane seems to be getting a lot of game time now at Madrid so I see that unlikely. Can't see Stones happening with all that's gone on. Laporte looks a good player but that could lead to an inexperienced back line. Who would you sign?

Hummels World Cup winner leader and still young enough dump Cahill an terry out of that team and play him and zouma how Jose hasn't dropped favregas and iva is jaw dropping

I've vouched for Hummels before. But I watched him for Dortmund today and he was hopeless.

why not bring back kalas? he was solid in that match againts liverpool. I defense should consist of Baba Zouma Kalas Azpi - that is a defense with a mix of pace, versatility and strength!

One good game doesn't mean he's good enough unfortunately. He could be, but would you want to go a season with Terry Cahill zouma and Kalas as our centre backs next year?

No Hazard54 but I would have certainly gone with him this season rather than buying Djilobodji. Let's be honest if rlc, Kenedy were in other clubs they would have been first team players and would be priced around 40mil or so during the summer, we've failed to use our youngsters now look at them all over playing so well, if we have them, if they're good enough they should play especially when the senior players are not In form that way the club can only spend on world beater and not on average or just above average players our youngsters could equal or well surpass.

Agree about Varane now being out of reach with him getting time at Madrid. I think Laporte would be my first choice beyond him.

Eli, aren't you happy with the amount of game time a couple of young guys have gotten? RLC has gotten a decent amount of time and will feature more after the international break probably (Mourinho said he'd get a run of games) and Kenedy has played a couple of games as well after coming out of practically nowhere. It's a shame Traore hasn't seen the pitch much but maybe that'll change.
RLC and Kenedy are on the right track IMO.

Whilst I respect your points made above(except Hummels, please no way)we have an excellent CB already in Ivanovich who (I feel) is being played out of position. Never have I considered him to be a RB.
Iva has the experience of Terry but more pace and I feel would be great with Zouma in the middle. We are a top club playing in a top league, we buy players for a position, then don't play them but put someone else there who is not playing their natural position. Ludicrous!
A case in point is Fabregas, last season before Xmas we were on the front foot attacking teams, yes we conceded goals but we scored more, then when Jose decided to change our style to cement the league(and not concede goals)Fabregas's form dropped off as he was required to defend, which he does not do.
I think this is a defining time for Jose, I believe he is dedicated to Chelsea(he has found his home)but now has to learn and adapt to the fact that his "three year spine" is just that, and that when he comes to terms with the fact that his immortals are that for a short time not a long time and can move on to the next "good" thing he will be fantastic for us in the years ahead.
Sorry guys, a bit long I know, I truly believe(and want)Jose can be our SAF, however he is also leaping into uncharted territory. He will learn and he will get it right I think.

To cheer myself up, have just been watching the champions league semi final against Barcelona. What a game, we showed so much spirit and determination and fight that night, ending with that Torres goal. The gods were certainly with us that night and in the final.

I bought the official CFC dvds of CL win -- that included extended highlights of game in Barcelona -- as memento of our extraordinary campaign. and also watched it last night to cheer myself up. So would strongly recommend as therapy for fans dealing with current tricky times. The good times will eventually return. Just think of us at the moment as not without hope -- bit like 2-0 down at the Nou Camp in CL semi and captain sent off!?

Please no. I'll have to have the Ramires and Torres goals V Barcelona and Drogba's v Bayern on loop for several hours if we do!

I really feel there's been some sort of rift between Mourinho and matic. Mourinho normally protects his players but he's telling the media he's in trouble and he can't play a simple pass

Really hope they sought it out, Matic is our most important player, for me.

I have to say the posts by MB1, JBS, Chelsea4life and at last MagicalEden has calmed down, are marginally different but ALL excellent and although we all have our favourites, they have stepped away from the emotive side and raised the issues. Posts like this make for good banter.

The strongest part of any JM team has always been the defence. Stop the goals going in and you can win most matches if you score at least 1 goal. At the moment we are defending like rank amateurs. JM is not the problem. He picks the team but he doesn't make the mistakes that are happening on the pitch.

I disagree Bruce, I'm not say I want Jose replaced, but you can't say he's not to blame and he's picking the same out of form players week in week out. He seems to pick on every player to sub or drop except for the ones that NEED dropping. Believe me players on the pitch know where there weak links are and I honestly believe they go into these matches with no confidence of a victory because of the form of whose lined up with them at kickoff when there's other options. Even if the other options turn out to not get better results, they a long overdue for a try at this point imo. If we win 2 more Epl matches this season(out of 30 more matches) with Ivan/Cahill/Terry at the back and Cesc at dm I will apologize to Jose and all those who think he's doing a good job.

However he does pick Ivanovic, who is looking a shell of his former self

Can baba speak English? I feel that's why he isn't playing.

It's not about players, it is about tactics and formation that doesn't work. He played one game with 433 and won 4:0. We're watching Real Madrid third season replay.

Hazard, John Terry hardly speaks English and it hasn't stopped him!

antibot, do not pay attention to formations, our formation Is extremely close to a 433 anyway. That's not te problem

I support José Mourinho through and through . I knew this when we won the league and I know this now when we are bottom of the table, that MOURINHO IS THE BEST.
