ok so far so good, im happy with change of style even though it will take time before people say this is the way chelsea play, like an identity.I really do think we are 1-2 players away from being a top top team, maybe the best in the world,i dont really have a preference of who we sign more a preference of style, im saying i think to be the best we need a class midfielder i personally dont want an ugly playing 6ft 5 monster of a dm,i would like a pirlo or xabi alonso type player who has a 90 percent pass rate,and can keep possession knit defence to attack,and put a foot in, with ramires's pace and work rate it would be perfect balance, and speed up the attacks, javi martinez would have been perfect right age and technical ability and can play centre back so knows how to put a foot in.And second player a striker who can almost surly get 25-30 goals a season,again dont really care who i hope torres is this guy but how long can we give him 1 year 2 years 3 years,i dont no,were linked with falco and legwendski, they seem like top goal scorers in europe at the moment i dont know how cavani is doing this season,with these 2 types of players the balance of the squad would be perfect and we could go anywhere in europe and play our own brand of football,we would have more possession and look silky from the middle, and a clinical goal scorer with the players we have we would be immense!.I know people will say what about torres and sturridge and romeu but i want to be the best team in the world and play with great style,same as roman i guess,before people say am i not happy with being top of the league and champ lge, yes i am but i want more,just my views on were we are rite now . Last night Mario Gotze was absolutely superb. His control and pace is superb, and in MY opinion his control and pace could be as good as Messi's in a few years time. He is astonishing. I know it's doubtful he will sign for us, but whoever does...They will be one group of lucky mofos...

We are playing very well now.The front four are brilliant.The link up play is sometimes breathtaking.At the moment it looks like everybody has a chance to score,not only just the striker and that is how it should be.
Ramires has been fabulous so far in the central midfield.
The tactic employed by RDM is interesting.He now has the luxury to play possession football or counter attacking football.It purely depends on him which one he employs.
Against Arsenal we showed we can do both.Mind you I do not think many teams will beat Arsenal this season ,so beating them at their home proved that the team is getting stronger and is more than capable of winning the league atleast.
We all saw how Dortmund dismantled City with quick precise counter attacks.
We have all seen Barca,Arsenal play possession football over the years.
Right now we are capable of doing both the styles.
It is a matter of players understanding one another and gelling together as a team to play both styles effectively.The more they play the better become and the signs are already there.
Also if I am correct RDM has realized that with Super Frank in the starting team the style of football is not quite there .So he has probably decided to start Frank in the lesser games and to come on as a substitute when needed where at this stage of his career he is more effective.
In this system the striker need to be pacy and versatile that is he can not only score but also provide.Torres has been brilliant so far in that role.So its high time that pointless slating of him needs to end.
If Sturridge is that good a lone striker as some of you are saying then not only is our management dumb ,so is the management of England and City,who sold him.
Sturridge has many good attributes like pace and trickery,but the one thing he lacks is cleverness and decision making, which is vital for the lone striker playing in our system in order to be effective. That is why he is used as a right winger or second striker.
Just support the team and enjoy the football because the team has the ability to be special .

Good post, I agree with all your points about the front four being good, Ramires playing well in the middle, our ability to play both possesion and counter attaqcking football etc.
But...
Sturridge has been injured for all but a couple of games this season - and he looked good when he played. Torres has been good in the past two games, his holding up of the ball has improved ten fold, but I'm looking forward to having, the different option that is, Sturridge back in the team.
