Hello Ed01 and the guys. The squad has suffered a lot of injuries this season. Do you think it's lampard's t tactics causing it or just bad luck because Kovacic and Willian are down with achilles injury now too.

{Ed001's Note - injuries are not caused by tactics. They can be caused by under or over training players though. It is usually soft tissue injuries that are caused by that, ie pulls and strains. There is also a lot of other factors to consider, such as rest periods. A player with a young baby who is not sleeping and so keeping him awake, for example, is at more danger of picking up a knock.

Looking at the injuries over the season and there have been a fair few avoidable ones, but that also could be down to players not being fit enough previously and trying to get up to speed under Lampard. It is too early to really be able to judge, being perfectly honest, but the early signs are worrying. I would hope the club would be investigating as there are indicators of an issue, the problem is figuring out whether it is the training, diet, lack of rest etc.

I personally do not have enough information at hand to assess what the likely cause is in Chelsea's case. There have been signs in matches that players are not quite fit enough though, as you could see at the end of the midweek game that so many were down with cramp. It does look to be a problem.}

Thanks for the insight man.
I meant to say training regime not tactics. I hope they look into it though as it is getting out of hand.

{Ed001's Note - I am sure they are already doing so.}

Ed I was thought similarly for arsenal under Wenger. They always complained at losing so many players so regular throughout multiple seasons, would you put that down to his training then? It seems strange that it went on for so long and they were unable to stop the trend.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, it was defo down to training issues. I remember Newcastle having a similar problem, they sacked their fitness coaches and then Liverpool hired them and suffered the same injury problems. It happens a lot. Players are individuals and need individual training and diet plans but they also need to be trained to suit the style of play asked of them. If you play high intensity but the players are being trained at a low intensity, then they are going to struggle to avoid picking up injuries during games.}

Kepa punched a lot of crossers / corners last night, obviously something his been working on, commanding his 6 yard a bit more.

When you think of our midfield going forward, it is really exciting.

Kovacic, Gilmour, Anjorin, Broja the beast, RLC, - as well as Ampudu and Gallagher on loan. Anchored by Kante.

It's taken almost 20 years but Roman's investment in youth is finally coming to fruition.

I think my home boy Michael Emenalo deserves a shout too.

Isn't Broja a forward? Or am I mistaken?

Broja is a forward.

Wow! Billy Gilmour. Just wow - nuff said.

But I actually thought Giroud was Man of the Match - he out-fought van Dijk and is getting to match fitness.

Everybody played well except one - funnily, the only player that I thought had a poor game was Ross Barkley but I suppose we can forgive him given his 1 moment of magic.

Ps Why doesn't RB do that every game if he has it in his locker?

Pps Big shout out to Kepa for standing tall.

You think Ross Barkley had a poor game? And why would you want him to do that every game if he had a poor game? Me personally I thought he was brilliant.

What midfield do you guys want to see against Everton?. With Kovacic, Jorginho and Kante out we have very limited options. Gilmour should definitely start after his MOTM performance, would like to see Mount and Ruben in there too for me. Obviously Ruben won't be able to last 90mins but if he starts hopefully we can get a lead and sub him when he starts to tire. Go with the 433 or 4231 and start Odoi if he's fit enough and Pedro on the wings.

Christensen with Gilmour in a 3421 formation.

Alternatively Reece can also play mid but I'd prefer to keep him on the right. Christensen can do a job I think in midfield.

Could be another Champs league final situation with two left backs playing.
