So what are people's thoughts on Rudiger? Is he really any better then we already have? Admittedly I don't know much about him but I liked what I saw the other night playing for Germany. But he does look like an accident waiting to happen sometimes.

And Bakayoko, again don't know much about the lad. But more then willing to back Contes judgement.

CFCADAM : I have seen Rudiger playing for Roma few times. He is definitely a good CB, upgrade on Cahill.
I have no idea about Bakayoko and I don't believe in YouTube stuff for a player to watch. But a CFC fan here Cat said he has seen Bakayoko many times and he thinks he will be upgrade on matic.
As per reports Bakayoko is wanted personally by Conte and Rudiger was targeted last year by Conte too before his injury.
So I personally believe both players are Conte's wish rather than CFC boards.

i watched monaco a lot last year Adam, Bakayoko had an amazing season he is very strong, very athletic, quick, he is composed on the ball, has better vision than matic, he had 1000 passes last year and 800 of them went forward, so that will be a upgrade on matic passing backwards and sideways, he would often drill the ball through a gap to get it into the strikers feet to spring attacks, but he is a defensive mid so didn't get many assists or goals, but was awesome in tackles, duels, interceptions ect, i know he played bad against juventus, as did the rest of his team, and people on here said he was rubbish and matic was better, i laughed at that as i seen him a lot, and that game aside he got into the ueafa team of the season based on his performances in Europe, of all the players we are linked to this is the one im most excited about, i do think he is going to be a monster for us, he reminds me of patrick vieara the way he carries the ball handing people of, at 22 years old will get better every year, i know every fan got there opinions but there are 4 certainties in life your born, you pay taxes, you die and Bakayoko is better than matic.

I hope so Samrat, would love to think that the club is backing the managers signings rather then personal or Emanelo's choices.

Yeah YouTube is terrible for bigging up players. I stay well away from that.

Bakayoko is a beast midfield enforcer if we sell matic for similar to what we pay for baka it will be a master stroke from the club. il be disgusted if rudiger signing means christianson will leave.

i looked at bakayoko vs matic as well and bakayoko wins in nearly everything apart from goals scored, i can't be bothered to type that one out, and i checked rudieger vs cahill and rudieger is a lot better on last seasons stats so a few quality upgrades to our starting 11.

Wins what Cat tackles? Matic is far better in everything else (including number of assists, chances created, number of goals), plus it's not the same to play at EPL or League 1. Bakayoko will push out players like Baker, Chalobah and RLC,IMO that will be great mistake. The fact that Mourinho wants Matic desperately doesn't mean that Chelsea will sell him to Man Utd.

And about Sandro when you compare his stats vs Marcelo and alaba Sandro comes on top in majority.

yeah i've read that sandro is the best left back in the world on stats last season. just hope we get him now. i'm the opposite to you samrat, i've seen bakayoko a lot and can say he is an improvement on matic, but only seen rudieger once.

it seems some of you don't want chelsea to improve?, why do you think bakayoko managed to get into the ueafa team of the season?, how come if he isn't an improvement our scouts watched him over the season and decided we should sign him, our scouts need sacking then, they clearly got it wrong he is miles behind rlc, baker is much better, and chalobah will keep him out of the team because he's 10 times the player bakayoko is, so just to put in to perspective, it don't count he played well for monaco because its a weak league, and maybe ueafa accidentally picked him for team of the year, oh and the french manager must have been drunk for picking him, we should only sign players from england because every other league is weak compared to england, no wonder the edds don't come on this page no more.

Statistics are accurate, but also can vary due to conditions (league, team, role) .

bakayoko is better than matic at playing football in any league in any team in any midfield role.
