People are bashing Morata? Been involved in 14 premier league goals so far (10 goals and 4 assists) this season and people are bashing him?

Yes he has missed opportunities, only one player in the EPL has missed more opportunities so far this season; Salah! Anyone bashing Salah this season?

A young lad being involved in goals as he has been in his first EPL season, and he gets hammered by fans?

I'm obviously loosing touch with football!

Salah is a winger who is scoring so whatever he misses his not judged on, morata has been great but would need both hand to count all one v ones he has missed, it’s frustrating. more so as he doesn’t get a lot of help from midfield for goals, morata will get few goals and match winners and we’ll all forget bout those misses ( hopefully )

100% morata has shown us what a mistake Lukaku would of been, even with the chances wasted he does at least have more to his game.

i don't think anyone bashed him i just think his finishing with his feet has been woefull for a 70 million pound striker we can all see he's a classy player.

Maybe not on here as much Magic but if you looked on Twitter and on his Instagram or just social media in general, the amount of hate he was getting from so called Chelsea fans was embaressing to see. I don't expect and hope that it won't bother Morata but it's still a pathetic overreaction.

Morata really needs to focus. His at the age where he can improve immensely. Its ashame we don't have another striker of Conte's choice on the bench that could put pressure on him.

His finishing with his feet has been woeful and i agree it is hard to count the amount of misses now. Headers are good but scoring with your feet is your bread and butter. He needs massive improvement here. This could make or break him at Chelsea.

In my opinion, he falls to the ground too easy and more often than not the refs tell him to get up without calling a foul. He needs to realise this is not the Spanish League where its common to see this type of stuff. For a big laf like him he should stay on his feet more.

I do like his movement which is spot on, you need to do that to get into scoring opportnuities. Credit to him here.

Overall, this lad has potential. He needs to look at Harry Kane as an example. Work work and work. He needs to get ready to face the media everytime he misses now, the whole country was talking about his misses the other night. Only way to get them off your back is by scoring. Surely they are waiting to get the good old Torres and Soldado comparisons out. Can Morata handle the pressure. We will find out soon.

The rumour season is upon us once more. Two articles one regarding Barkley. After his behaviour last time around why would we be interested? Conte cannot possibly know anything about him as he has been injured for most of his stay so who is pulling the strings? The story about Andy Carroll; once again Conte would have little knowledge of someone constantly injured so again someone other than him is having a say on rumoured interest. 'If' true it does not augur well for Conte seeing out his contract!

C1955 You have to realise agents play a big part in the modern game. RB agreed a deal, was about to take his medical and pulls out. Why? Because he was never going to be fit by Christmas and his fee reduces from £35M to £15M! A nice little signing on bonus going his say as opposed to Evertons! Anyway, money apart a fantastic addition to our squad.

Strange how we all feel we need a quicker attacking LWB yet alonso has brilliant stats and clean sheet record, I'd feel sorry for him if big signing came in, would or could he do well in back 3 next to Christensen and azpi?

left cb would be gd. but he won't score as many.
he's been a excellent signing for us.

id be surprised if we spent money of another cb with rudiger cahil azpi luiz christensen but unless luiz left it might force our hand. zouma coming back aswell in the summer he might be decent in a back 3.

magic I mean if we sign Sandro . Alonso could go LCB. he was signed originalmy for that position.

i see the point about his goals, but in general play i think he's quite average, good free kick taker, but with the ball he seems to be a second slow in his head with a quick pass, he is hit and miss with crosses, not the best at 1 on 1 defending, i quite like the idea of him playing left centre back, as he played there before and is 6foot 4,and i don't see us changing to a back 4 in certain games because he is to slow and lacks the energy to play lb up and down all game, we could do better than him its no surprise he is 27 years old and doesn't have a single Spanish cap even though he can play in different positions, i don't hate the guy i think he is ok, but if we want to challenge the best in europe then we need world class players, like the likes of alba at bayern, marcelo sandro ect, we need to improve other positions also but this is the case in point.

Just about recovering from double blow of AFC late equaliser and key miss of even later CFC winner that we deserved and would have handily consolidated our top four position. Hard to take, and posting this partly about sharing the pain/ need for therapy! .

Will admit that my language was ripe last night! A great game for neutrals perhaps, but am still replaying what might have been though was obviously an exciting game! . Apart from our misses, one of our massed defenders should surely have been watching/ closing down Bellerin to prevent clear shot - pity that Alonso's superb overall performance slightly spoiled by his weak/ tired defensive header that fell so kindly for Bellerin though.

Of course Morata should have scored at least one of his chances, but agree with others that his link up play, speed and positioning generally excellent and he must surely start scoring more with his feet!

Overall I felt that Bakayoko had another poor game and we are/ were missing another sufficiently dynamic mf to accompany NK.

Agree with everything you just said JBS. Last night felt more like a defeat than a draw, with the chances we missed and Arsenal's late equaliser.

But on your last point on Bakayoko, and I know I keep raving about Vidal. But if we could sign Vidal, he would be perfect in our midfield next to Kante. For one Vidal would add goals from midfield, I know people say he's too old blah blah blah. But he could be a great player for us for a couple of seasons. He would offer so much more to what we currently have.

You might well be right Bobby23, Vidal could be very good next to NK and one of better (in sense of being more possible as well as proven) signing prospects in this January window. Not too many really good/ experienced players will be available - and the squad clearly does need strengthening further as we and Antonio know only too well with all the competitions we're in. Just wondered whether you have seen much of him much lately and been impressed? I've not personally watched much of him at Bayern, but did when he was at Juventus and he was hugely impressive esp. 2012-14 period. Must be big chance that Conte would get best out of him.

Agree with the above - last night I came away miserable because we didn't win (when I think of all those times that I would have been elated to draw at Highbury! ) . I have to ask: why is Conte sticking with Bakayoko?! Bakayoko offers little or nothing to our game - it's like playing with 10 men; he's not great in the tackle; he's not that quick; his 1st touch is horrendous; he gets caught in possession alot; I can't remember him heading the ball; his composure in front of goal is non-existent. The only thing going for him is that he is only 21 and might improve! And we have sold de Bruyne, Mata, Matic, Ake, Oscar, Ramires, John Obi Mikel, John Swift, Romeu, and Thorgan Hazard while we have RLC, Lewis-Baker, Izzy Brown, Mario Pasalic, van Ginkel, on loan - I would suggest that all of those are as good as Bakayoko and most are better. Drinkwater has to start ahead of Bakayoko (and hopefully we sign Vidal) .

I think are weak link is fab. just terrible. no desire to defend. at least bakayoko gives it ago. he's still young and again his first stint in the prem again faster league hasn't got the same amount if time he had in the French league.

Wheely are you having a laugh a lut fabregas mate? Yesterday he solely passed the ball for at least 3 goals sadly neither Morata/ moses or bakayoko could take it. All 3 of them yesterday played really poor.
