Whats everyone's hope for January transfers?

Two players id like to see are Wesley Sneijder and Lazar Markovic, both talented and fill a void.

Falcao or Cavani look like summer possibilities unfortuantly

PB

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Sneijder. how old is he now? for me oscar can do the same job from centre mid. pointlesssigning in my book.

Agree3 Disagree0

Lampard may be off if so i think Sneijder would be a good replacement, same style of passing ability and long range shooting.

PB

Agree1 Disagree1

Lampard and Sneijder are two totally different style of players.
Sneijder is has only ever had 1 or 2 good seasons with his clubs, since Mourinho left Inter he has been poor.
I dont think he would handle the physical style and pace of the prem.
Plus we have Oscar, De Bruyne and Mcheachran who all deserve a chance.

I dunno myself PB, only my opinion, im not too keen on another CM at a height of 5ft6? i believe we need a ballack clone. dont get me wrong i would snap him up but not sure it the right choice right now. BLUEBOY1

Agree2 Disagree0

The only reason is said Sneijder is because hes available, players like Fellaini arent available to my knowledge. Tbh though Sneijder isnt worth £200k a week at this time of his career and over a £20m transfer fee

PB

Agree0 Disagree0

Well blueboy if you would snap him up it needs to be done now before someone else does

Chelsea are going to make a bid for kaka because the owner wants him to replace lampard-DE

I'll be honest I'm going to be gutted if Lampard leaves and if Terry's Instagtram is true it looks very likely.

Even though the club is absolutely disrespectful to out most senior and loyal players who've helped us achieve numerous amount of trophies then all we can do is look to replace them.

Now according to various rumour websites Wesley Sneijder would be keen on a move to England albeit not QPR then shouldn't we go in for him to replace Lamps. I could not think of anyone better he could play the deep lying playmaking role fantastically alongside David Luiz, he has the vision, skill, passing and most importantly a deadly long range shooting accuracy which we have lacked for a while.

The last thing I want to see is Lampard leave but if he is then I think Sneijder would be the perfect replacement.

Totally agree mate I know his wage demands are high but I think he would lower them to join a club like Chelsea.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Jan 2013 21:19:24
One more striker, and cover at CB or DM (possibly a loan), and I'll be happy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sneijder looks available over disputes with inter don't want to see Lams leave but Sneijder would be the best replacement if he is going to leave.

Also been said today Howedes of Schalke is having disputes over his contract and he's rated as one of the best young centre backs in the Bundesliga alongside Hummels and Subotic and seen as Luiz is turning into a good DM and Terry's getting injury probe and Ivan and Cahill can't play every week so he would be another great January cut price signing.

Sneijder and Howedes

Chelsea will sign Fellaini. and him and Luiz will ruloe the park. Also next season when lamps has gone, get rid of Mikel too. Romeuo needs first team football so send him on loan. Luiz, Fellaini, Ramierz, McEachran, DeBuryne. will be our CM.

28 and a brilliant player, would be fairly cheap and can play anywhere in midfield and by time he is 32 Oscar and de bruyne will be more than ready and top class players, we need a squad not a team. Buying only young players is stupid we need a balance of youth and experience

I know what it like to be abused both pysically and verbally on a daily basis. The difference is of course that I am paid for my job, and knew what would happen when I decided on my career. The eds I understand do this on voluntary basis, and quite correctly do not expect to be abused for supplying a service which is greatly appreciated by the vast majority..unfortunately a very small minority seek to spoil everyones enjoyment by posting abuse.The only advice I can give eds, is that you ignore completely any messages they send by just deleting them. If they see that you are losing your temper or not carrying on in your normal manner then they have achieved what they set out to do, and won. They are pathetic individuals who should have all our pity for the sad lives they live. {Ed018's Note - we delete plenty of posts daily}

Letting Lampard leave now is similar to AC Milan letting Pirlo leave. Chelsea are so gonna regret this.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

04 Jan 2013 16:44:06
Mate, Pirlo is a class above Lamps now and younger too.

Agree2 Disagree6

Maybe he is a better passer but lamps aint too shabby. Lamps scores far more goals. I dont think anyone realised he grabbed 16 goals last year even with the argument with avb. age doesnt matter if your still good enough which i cant stress enough, HE IS!

Agree2 Disagree0

Wilkins, Ancelloti, Ballack, Essien, now Lampard Cole and probably Terry next year. Why will we never learn.
DP

Agree0 Disagree0

Lampard is better than pirlo IMO. Pirlo is a passer but lamps is a scorer

Agree0 Disagree0

Too one dimensional for me at this point of his career for the midfield, maybe at striker or just behind a single striker since he can still find the goal. If reports are true that he is willing to take a decent cut in pay to stay then I think we should resign him, but no comparing to Pirlo who can dominate games like he did at the euros without scoring.

Agree2 Disagree0

Pirlo is world class...lamp will not match him...

to the poster previously mentioning avb being no good spurs are above us with a lesser team thats says he CAN manage when he isnt being undermined by so called senior players RA wont forget his treachory(spelling) easily so lampard must now pay the price and i warn you terry wont be far behind we could have had a truly capable manager if it wasnt for the mutinous few sorry but its true now you have got RAFA the GAFA be careful what you wish for

Believable7 Unbelievable2

04 Jan 2013 14:54:34
I agree totally. AVB would have done better with this squad, playing to a system which he loves and I hope he succeeds at Spurs to prove his doubters wrong.

So far so good shame chelsea can be so fickle

Agree4 Disagree1

I supported him the entire time even after the sacking and RDMs success but that stopped when he started taking shots at our club in the summer. Whether justified or not it was classless.

Fernando Torres and demba BA our our strike force compared to Rooney van Persia Hernandez and welbeck and aguero dzeko tevez and balotelli,,, the only way we can compete with them is for us to go all out and get falcao in,, good business getting BA for 7.5 is great but we need more strike force in my opinion

chelsea management has been harsh on players for a while. anelka, alex, malouda are examples. first two were great players but they weren't happy before they left. now malouda has been treated like a diaper by them inspite of doing so good for the time he has been in club. lampard is one of the pillars around which chelsea team was built. every year he performed beyond expectations and won crucial games for us. i hear that he has said that he is willing to take a massive wage cut. this shows his love towards fans. despite of the fact that he can earn more at 34 if he goes to MLS or Chinise league. i think chelsea should allow him to retire in chelsea only. he has been a very loyal servant to the club and he curbed his instinct to go to inter milan at peak of his career (when jose went there). his mere presence in dressing room will inspire people like joshua mceahran, kevin de bruyne, kakuta (if he stays), oscar. he is to us like paul scholes is to manchester united.

I full understand and support..
But As per Roman..
He was one of the three men (terry, cole and lampard)
who fired AVB....

Roman wont forgive easily...

Agree4 Disagree2

Love Frank and hope the club decide to try and keep him on although it is looking increasingly unlikely now. However, I wouldnt read too much into the story about him offering to take a 100k wage cut which was published this morning. Tabloid garbage.

Blue25

Avb had poor man management skills.he was unable to accomodate mata and lampard into the same team. now compare it with jose & carlo who accomodated lampard and ballack together and we won 3 FA cup, league cup, premier league and community shield, reached finals of champion league with that combination.

He had poor management skills with the players he wanted out. The brazilians and Spanish loved him, hints why they celebrated with him. He plays their way.

Anyone who's on Instagram should check out John Terry's latest entry re. Frank Lampard...

"devestated is an understatement, we should retire the number 8 shirt in honour of Lamps".

OsgoodIsKing

Agree2 Disagree1

Can't believe our lack off respect as a club

Agree2 Disagree3

Benitez in and lamps out, utterly disgusting!

Agree5 Disagree2

What has respect and our club got in common. We have no class and that is also permanent. We run it in completely different way. We are not a football club we are a "global brand". Soulless capitalist business structure with no sentiment attached. If we hire Benitez as manager, why the hell should we not let Lampard go, sell Cole or Terry? All i'm waiting for is a red away shirt now. For starters.

JG

Agree3 Disagree3

I would like to know who are the clueless persons that advise ambramovich. If its a case that lampard wants a three year deal on the same wages then I understand their stance. I wouldn't think that would be the case and every effort should be made to keep him. There is absolutely no leadership in the team without him or terry. The young players we have need players like lampard to set the example of what's required at our club. It pains me to look at the way united do things with envy! Has any sort of deal even been offered?
Jimbo

Agree5 Disagree2

I don't agree with lamps being
Let go of, but I also don't agree with retiring squad numbers. BLUEBOY1

Why are people linking Benitez coming in and Lampard/Cole going? The two are completely unrelated. It's been pretty clear that the club were not going to renew their contracts for ages.

Agree5 Disagree2

04 Jan 2013 12:25:01
But common mate...
I have seen only 3 execptional midfielders on this genration in EPL..
scholes, lampard and gerrard...
look looserpool..they wont sell gerrard...
Y on earth are we selling him??

Agree0 Disagree1

Lamps will be a huge loss to the club, but the only number I'd retire is JT's when he eventually retires.

K

Agree0 Disagree1

It's not yankee sport and in my humble opinion numbers should not beretired, per se. Cole and Terry as much as being exceptional footballers are also a PR disaster waiting to happen everytime they are off the pitch. Or on it, for that matter. But Lampard is a completely different story.

Anyway - AVB was asked to make "new Chelsea". His lack of authority an suspectible man management skills clearly backfired. RDM was temporary. Benitez is just stirring the ship in a lost season. I doubt we'll land Guardiola. Whereas Mourinho is nothing like "new Chelsea". And i can't see it working for us again. Because it would require being his way or Roman's way and that is hardly possible to combine.

Therefor don't be shocked to see this former Liverpool man staying here, until he gets fired for not delivering what is expected, i.e. The EPL or CL.

JG

Agree1 Disagree0

Y on earth u think pep will listen to the nonsense of roman???
