Remember how it was before we got Hazard, then we swooped in with an offer and took him, I think if we really want a player we go in and get it done. Hope we get him he is just as good as Hazard and he's only 22 if we get him and Hazard plus Costa or Lusaka or Morata we would be back until of the pile.

We badly need a world class midfielder in next to kante someone who can work as hard as matic with more technical ability do to be able to dictate the play more matic doesn't offer us that but he does work hard at breaking up the play.

Hi Ed - I realise this type of question can be difficult to answer - but with the transfer window less than a month away now, I was wondering if you could shed any light on who Chelsea's primary targets are likely to be at the current state of play? By 'primary', I mean in the sense that they have been targeted by the club as the most desirable/ realistic options for this summer, and are intended to directly supplement the first team squad.

{Ed002's Note - No, that is not possible.}

Costa stated he'd only leave Chelsea to go back to Atletico. But Atletico can't register any new players until January, and Costa doesn't seem the type to be fine with sitting out several months first until he can play again.

So it seems probably that Costa will stay this summer. My question, Ed, is whether that affects Chelsea's plans for signing a new striker. Would they still want to sign a new striker (like Lukaku, Icardi or Belotti) even if Diego's staying? Or would Diego staying mean that the interest in strikers will be put on hold for now?
Thanks for any help!

{Ed002's Note - It really isn't that complicated. Chelsea will do what they see necessary.}

Thanks anyway, Ed. I'll trust Marina and Emenalo then.

Jackson, Atletico Madrid was maybe Diego Coast's option in summer 2016. There is only one direction for Costa and that's China. China or to stay at Chelsea.

I know player interviews should be taken with a grain of salt, but Diego did state about a week ago that the only club he'd leave Chelsea for is Atletico. And that he's got no interest in moving to China.

If he is going to keep saying he loves atleti and he wants to go back then good riddance! , I don't want to hear that as a Chelsea fan, he said in an interview with Henry for sky that he wanted to go back to Madrid last summer, I don't care how good a player is if they talk like that they they can go!

Ever since he has been with us he has said he was homesick which makes China highly unlikely as there is no 'nipping' home for a few days when you are there. I think all the 'China' talk was his agent or just paper talk and he is likely to stay with us. He has done well for us but I have never been a fan.

I'd love young English keeper like Pickford as back up but would probably damage his career, or the psg keeper linked seems ok.

Boetang van dijk kouilibaly all good, no preference except the cheapest

Mendy or Sandro would be amazing, either one and even dani alves as still quality and add that experiance lost by JT,

Midfielders id love isco, played CM for Madrid this year and has qualities cesc has but younger and more agile, then bakyoko who I've read is a younger raw yaya, and tolliso who I know nothing about, but we need that creative quality,

Wide id of loved Bernardo silva, gutted city got him.
Sanchez would be the one now, can play as second striker and has work rate conte loves,
Linked a little to Douglas costa who I dunno about, seen him hit and miss,

Striker, well if costa stays brilliant but what happens when ath. madrid band up he will want to go again, aubamayang be good, rapid and a goal scorer, lukaku dunno. If all his goals were taken away then Everton would still of been 7th which says he isn't a match winner, he scores when games dead and not great against big teams, but I'd love us to move smart and fast.
