ED are reports linkin Sneijder with Chelsea correct? {Ed002's Note - I guess Twitter can be a blast.}

Ed002 is Bernard a possible transfer target if other targets (Schurrle, Isco for example) don't materialise.

Thanks {Ed002's Note - He is whatever I said he is.}

Is it true we our about to sign Van Ginkel from Vitesse, looks like a good little play?

Ed, will Christian Eriksen be joining BVB? I've heard that both sides (Eriksen, Dortmund) are interested and Ajax will probably sell as it is his last year of his contract. {Ed018's Note - there is a good chance of it}

hey ed I do be on this site every day and I do notice a lot of criticism of mikel am I the only chelsea player that thinks he is a good player he makes the odd mistake but gives his all for the team

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He is probably the worst player we have signed in the abramovic era {Ed018's Note - doubtful}

Agree0 Disagree0

Gives his all? U mean jogging back when we're being attacked?

Agree0 Disagree0

Veron was pretty dreadful.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you mean jogging back when we are attacking?

Agree0 Disagree0

You're "the only chelsea player that thinks he's a good player?"

Mikel is this you?

Anyhow I agree he's not the worst signing, that award could be shared by a few!

Kezman, Bouhlarouz, Belletti, Miniero (the guy who never played), Torres, Shevchenko, Geremi, Jarosik, Veron.

Just to name a few!

Agree0 Disagree0

Mutu?

Agree0 Disagree0

Aw come on belletti wasn't that bad, could play in a few positions, scored a couple belters and helped us out a bit haha, and for me torres can't be in that list for all the stick had a decent season, but yes should have scored more, so for me has to be bouhlarouz or jarosik

I do have to say that Luis Suarez was out of control in our latest match with Chelsea.
World class player, yet a madman. Remind you of anyone?. Eric Cantona? from the mancs ha

Anyway, wish you the best for next season,

Paddy Boy (LFC fan)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

LFC should take Benitez back, he has done great job at CFC & LFC will be back competing for top 4 like before, then PL will be more exciting to watch.

I know it's not garunteed but mourinho said he's looking forward to working with the new younger players, hazard, Oscar and LUIZ! It's better than nothing about Luiz. Also turkey media saying sneijder is being chased by mourinho and chelsea. BLUEBOY1

Can anyone shed any light on who our main targets are for first team striker for the upcoming transfer window please? I have looked at previous comments but cannot make head nor tail of it!

thanks in advance

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This would be my order:-

Cavani
Lewandowski (If other targets fail)
Schurrle
Aubameyang
Yilmaz

PB1989

Agree0 Disagree0

Shed any light, not your choices pb1989

Agree0 Disagree0

They're pretty much our targets. Simply in the order PB would prefer them.

Agree0 Disagree0

The top guys we were interested in were Falcao (obviously off the table) cavani and lewandowski. Then there was a second tiers of strikers including yilmaz aubemayang and maybe a couple I'm missing. I view the pursuit of schurrle as a seperate entity to the chase for a striker.

Hi I supported chelsea for 40 years and I'm as happy as I've been because mourinho is back Its a 4 year contract I also can't wait until we play sunderland. Mourinho v di canio will be class

Players like Rooney and ibtahimovic would be brilliant under Jose

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No, too old

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooneys not to old and ibtahimovic is still scoring week in and week out?

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rooney continues at his current rate he'll only have 2-3 years left at the top despite his age. He doesn't seem to look after himself at all.
Ibrahimovic is too old for the fee and wages he'd require.

Hi ed, In your opinion, and I know it doesn't mean it will happen because situations change, but who do you think we will end up with?, I am a bit worried that we are not going to get any quality players for whatever reason, our interest in cavani seems to be just interest and not going anywhere, we missed out on neymar even though we outbid barca, we don't seem to be trying for jovetic either, apparently we want to pull out of schurrle deal, and we have decided to not even move in for Isco anymore for whatever reason. its just worrying. {Ed018's Note - yea way to much worrying. Everything will be fine}

Eds: Could you please clarify this for me, is it true that we have on our youth books Karen Bradys nephew, and that his posistion is CB. pIMLICO bLUE. {Ed002's Note - No idea.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That is true indeed
Chelsea paid AS Cannes £250,000 in compensation to land the 6ft 4in defender George Brady last year in July I think

Why is everyone so against Luiz leaving? He is a defensive liability when used as a CB. He often holds on to the ball too long because he thinks he is invincible and he wastes way too many set pieces. He is fast and can pass the ball but beyond that he's over rated for me. I would happily take Matic back for the DM position, with Josh Mc or Chalobah being blooded and Romelu as back up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Luiz has been carrying the team for most of the second half of the season. As a CB I admit he has his flaws, but as DM he's been quite magnificent. Apart from that he's quite the charachter, has got good leadership qualities and personally, I think he would be the most suited to wear the armband after JT and Super Frank. It would be a massive blow if we were to lose him

Agree0 Disagree0

He was one of our best players last season, was probably our best central defender and we looked worse off without him, there was a reason he played almost every game under Rafa, and played in all the important ones.
He is mobile, reads the game well and can increase the tempo which is something I have never seen a CB do before. He wants to win more than most in the squad and is a person that people like, which is a good thing to have in a squad of players competing under stressful circumstances.
For me he is the obvious choice to wear the armband in a season or two (presuming he is not sold).

He is criticized unfairly by the media because they are lazy and regardless of performances churn out the same stories week in week out. Of the players in the squad currently he is one of a few who I would say we need to build around, and who should not be sold.

There is a reason Barca want him!

Agree0 Disagree0

What I love about him is the passion he shows when playing. AM

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry by the way. I forget to sing my name.

LRD

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not surprised that first poster hasn't put his name down. Have you been watching Chelsea games? or just read what reporters say after the game? Look at Luiz playing what influence he has and how much love he puts when he plays! For me he is one of most influential and needed member of the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Simle Luiz or Mikel in there, take
Uiz anyday pay far better with him than Mikel.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a Manchester United fan but admit that Luiz is an absolutely fantastic player. i'd love him at OT. The fans that don't appreciate him astound me. I think he's better as a defensive midfielder though. He seems a good character to have in the club and that alone is priceless for team morale. If he goes to Barcelona; he will be hard to replace.

Glad Jose is back - will be an interesting season next year and the best team will win! Good luck!

Dzeko and Marchisio both totally underrated IMO

Those suckers at Barca have already rolled their PR machine in unsettling David Luiz. Same methods were used while tempting Fabregas away. You would read every day how homesick he was and all that.

It made me sick reding all that crap, although i'm indifferent to Arsenal's problems per se. We could face similar summer with DL.

JG

Believable0 Unbelievable0

At least they won't say luiz has Barcelona DNA

watford gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, you can always come up with other b*******, like: he's not Mourinho type, as Jose prefers more industrious defenders. He can't see himself at Chelsea as he prefers to play Barca style in keeping the ball in possession. He wants to team up with his best mate Neymar at San Siro. He thought he best team lost when we beat Barca. You can come up with so much s*** if you spend decent 10 minutes. If i'm paid to do then sky is the limit.

Chelsea could end up with a Champions league group of PSG, BVB and Napoli.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So could Barcelona, United, Real Madrid? Stop speculating and wait till the day of the draw to guess who we will play.
EH17

Agree0 Disagree0

Saying that is like saying we could get a group with Kobenhaven, Pacos De Ferreira and CSKA Moscow. Pure guesswork.
CFCFOREVER!

Agree0 Disagree0

Along with a number of different variations

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be nice :) at least we can watch some good games! what's the point to have easy group like Manchester United and then get kicked in the bum in last 16? If we are best we have to beat any team

Luiz is a great bloke good personality that's why he's so liked his dootballing ability isn't above and beyond many other cb/cdm £35 mil is a nice profit he gives the ball away a lot abd can be poor with positioning when defending personaly i'd sell luiz and try for paulino from courinthians

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's unlikely he'll leave. Not to mention the fact that defenders hardly sell for £35m. Apart from Thiago Silva the majority of defenders the last decade have been around the £20-25m bracket. I also don't see Barcelona having £35m to splash out on Luiz.
RM president claimed it would cost them €150m to bring Neymar in, so if it cost a similar amount for Barca then I doubt they'll be spending much else this summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jun 2013 08:59:19
So Schurrle in De Bruyne on loan to Leverkusen. Is there any other targets Jose has identified?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Jun 2013 08:12:49
The luiz rumours are gathering pace. Will be disappointed if he leaves.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dont see anything in it. Mikel isn't anything compared to Luiz. How could we sell him to Barca when a)they are a European rival and b)Jose hates Barca with a passion. Luiz was on of our best players last season, this would be an absolute disaster should it happen. Scott M.

Mister Ed, would chelsea be interested in Ever Banega if he was available for transfer? Cheers. {Ed002's Note - I would doubt it.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Jun 2013 00:18:11
Maybe now that Schurrle deal is close to collapsing, we'll go for Isco once again. Fingers crossed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would love Isco but as Ed said I think we will go for Turan, How come the Schurrle deal is suddenly unlikely?

JMJW

Agree0 Disagree0

It's been reported that they're growing a little tired of dealing with Leverkusen. It's said that Leverkusen won't sell Schurrle until they find a suitable replacement and Chelsea, supposedly, are tired of waiting

Agree0 Disagree0

The deal has already been agreed, can't remember the exact value, something like £20-24mil plus KDB on loan for a season for free. They won't finalise the deal until Jose has took over and is ready to meet and greet the new players. Scott M. {Ed002's Note - Or alternatively until the transfer window opens.}

Agree0 Disagree0

So it still looks likely we will sign Schurrle as a deal is complete, we are just waiting for JM to approve and the transfer window to open, cheers guys, i'm hoping we sign Schurrle as he offers width, is versitile and good workrates.

03 Jun 2013 00:16:10
Apparently we're going to withdraw our interest in Schurrle soon. Hope this is true :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Jun 2013 00:06:08
Why are chelsea close to signing
Schurrle when they already have young talent better than him such as De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Jun 2013 23:46:26
I think today proved what we've been saying for a while which is that Oscar has to play central to get anything close I his best out of him.

How exactly did today prove that when it appeared he was deployed on the right.

Hi ed,

Which players have chelsea turned their attention to after Schalke's valuation of Papadopolous was deemed too high? {Ed002's Note - Mangala.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Probably going to end up the same way. Porto always overprice their players
