By the sounds of it chelsea are working on quite a few deals. It seems that, if possible, the club would want to bring in Varane, Luis, Pogba and Aubameyang before the end of the window. That would be unbelievable business in my point of view and I am so happy that the club are at least trying to get deals done for these players - if they don't come off then at least we know we tried! Add to that the fact we have already brought in Costa and Fabregas, plus brought back Courtois, as well as sold Luiz for an enormous amount of money, we could have an incredible squad come the end of the Transfer window, while complying with FFP.

No chance - Pogba and Varane will not be sold. Also, £20 mill seems a lot for a 29 year old average left-back. And, I would rather keep Lukaku than pay money for untried Auba.

29 year old average left back? Try best left back in the world

The Eds have suggested that one of pogba or vidal will be sold, so its not that much of stretch that we could get pogba. Varane it all depends on the player, he's old enough and talented enough to get first team football but at the moment has Ramos and Pepe ahead of him at Madrid. Luis is far from average however, considering what is available at the moment, I reckon he's the best option for an immediate impact. I don't think the club wants to pay £20m either but that's his buyout clause and Atletico don't want to sell for less. I agree about Aubameyang, not tested in the PL or a league outside of France, whereas Lukaku has shown he can be decent enough in the premier league, just needs to sort his attitude.

Aubameyang, 13 goals in 26 leauge games. Most of which he was played out wide last term. I think he would be an ideal middle man in a forward 3. The guy has got good pace and can score goals. Better than Nando in my eyes and 5 years younger!

Can't see how it's true but APPERENTLY juve still owe us 13m for Adrian mutu, which can be used in deal for pogba, think this is twitter at its best,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think it's true Juve owe Chelsea some money, but it probably won't change anything regarding Pogba. However, it wouldn't hurt to mention that fact during negotiations ;)

Spot on @VBS, I really wonder our criteria 4 choosing targets but most often we turn d other way when we see some players wit qualities we are actually looking for. I remember when Suarez and Aguero became available but we never showed any serious interest even wit their qualities already becoming clearer. I bet u that Sanchez will be another foreign hit in England if he comes.Why are we not seeing dis guy now? He's best suited EPL bc of his dynamism, can play all in any position in d attack. Bags of pace and skills. I also hope we don't start gnashing next when Falcao starts bagging in goals next season as he apears 2 be on his way 2 Madrid. Again, I think we should cough out d fee for Pogba as he would become d best midfielder soon and still very young.A more dynamic Yaya Toure for d next 10 yrs. Sorry for long post but feel free to comment

I'm with you on Pogba. I know its not going to be easy to get him cause of the price and interest from PSG but let's be honest, if we want to go head to head with the likes of Bayern, Madrid who if I do say so my self look to be building quite a team (Kroos, Falcao, Rodriguez?! Bloody hell me) Barca and even city I think we need someone like Pogba. I love the fact we haven't splashed the cash stupidly in recent summers but for me Pogba is a must, he could easily be the core of any team in the next 10 plus years he should be our main target this summer now we have Costa. Hope we go all out for him, Roman always gets his man let's hope Pogba is that man this summer.

Nicely put!

I'm pretty sure we had a bid turnt down for aguero and godin.

Agree0 Disagree0

We did have an interest in Aguero, I think we ended up signing Torres instead, but we had a genuine interest. Suarez no-one was genuinely watching and again we bought Torres the same window he was bought by Liverpool. Not going to spend more money on strikers when we had just signed a £50m striker, whilst having Drogba and Anelka who were performing well.

I just came back from the United page, and it seems that most of them believes that we or City will win the League. Furthermore most of them expects big signings even though they don't have Champions League

I cannot find the answer in previous postings, though it may be there: Do either of the eds. know why CFC are not interested in Sanchez? Is it because some at CFC not convinced, prefer other options like Aubamayang or Mandzucic? IMHO, of those strikers possibly available (LFC, JUventus and AFC interest in Sanchez), and not already probably going to Real Madrid (James Rodriguez) or Barcelona (The Biter), Sanchez might just be the most talented/dynamic and a good contrast in option to Costa. Many thanks for your combined considerable patience with questions like this!

{Ed002's Note - There are lots of players the club are not interested in - I cannot say why.}

That is understandable. Thanks anyway for the response.

Hi, any chance that you can give us an updated list of who Chelsea are now looking or wanting to buy please. With some targets not available or transferred somewhere else. Is there anything else on the horizon.

Thanks

Hi Ed, I know we are keen on Raphael Varane, as you have said are we still trying, and do you think we have a good chance getting him, Thanks Ed .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I have no way of measuring "good".}

Do ya think he will move to Chelsea ed?, Thanks again.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation - what I think" is not going to help.}

Messi-Suarez-Neymar;
I know one team I don't want to face in the champions league next season. Scary.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They've always had a good attack but the defence is weak. I'd be happy to face them in the latter stages of the competition as they can be exploited at the back. Add to that, if I remember correctly, Suarez failed to score against any of the top 4 sides last season so maybe he isn't a big game player. Prefer to play them over teams like Madrid and Bayern.

I'll be interested how they plan on keeping 3 guys who are use to being THE MAN happy. Neymar is a different player for brazil. I'll also be interested in how they plan on playing Suarez and messi as both don't like to play wide. Their midfield isn't what it was and they still don't have a back line. Figured they'd learn after the neymar purchase but apparently not.
