Ed002- two questions. Number one, you seem pretty confident Chelsea will be fine after this window- are several more quality signings expected/ going to happen soon? Secondly, besides Alex Sandro, do we have interest in any other wingbacks?

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea has an ongoing interest in players but it would be correct to say that Sandro is a player the club are keen on. They will not buy for the sake of it.}

Ok ed I got a question and I don't want any names just your opinion, if so far our transfer dealings is say an 6/ 10 what do you think it'll be when window shuts, no names or number of players in just in your opinion.

Hi guys, been lurching around for years on the site now. Great reading even with the negativity, it is all banter at the end of the day, we know we are the top club in England, fact, we proved that massively last year. I know it's not our money, and we shouldn't get to wrapped up in transfer news, but it's all good fun. Although who else is proud to be a Chelsea fan now we are showing great net spend compared to other top flight teams, i certainly am. We can brush of the stigma of "buying titles" and see it all as great investment. I personally see 2-3 more signings this year, maybe 1 youth, a wing back and a midfielder. Granted nothing spectacular, but depth.
Barkley would be a good English addition, in the market £40-50 million, is not a huge amount for a home grown premier league standard player, with great potential. Sorry for the wall of text. COYB!

ed, I understand you do not have time to provide a list of players we are interested in.

could you provide a list of positions we are still trying to sign players for. its ok if you are too busy but at least hearing the positions would give us fans an incentive as to how many players we will sign by the end of the window. I feel like we are 3/ 4 players short of a squad which could challenge on all fronts.

All them players are bang average we won't challenge in Europe with our current squad.

The targets are changing all the time, so it's not simple to follow almost every club transfer activity. We'll see what happens in the end.

If we look back a few years,

GK. we had Cech, arguably one of the best in the world during his time with us.

RB. Ivanovic, wasn't the most gifted but you knew what you were getting from him.

CB. Terry and Carvalho once again two of the worlds top CB's during their time with us.

LB. Ashley Cole, during his time with us he was undoubtedly the best left back out there.

CM. Lampard, Ballack and Essien. Three of the best cm's in their prime although Ballack was a little past his prime when he joined us.

ST. Drogba, easily one if not the best striker while he was here in his prime.

Now looking at these players, almost all of them would have walked into any side in the world. Now we have Hazard, probably Kante and maybe Courtois who would walk into most teams.

Then you look around Europe's big teams (Real, Barca, Bayern and Juve), half of their teams would walk into our first team. Now I know it's not all about having a team of superstars as Kante and others have proven, but to me it just shows how far we and the rest of the Premier League have fallen behind against the rest of Europe.

I understand what you are saying and I felt we should have been more dominant with those players than we were BUT the Premiership is ultra competitive and no other league will you find a top team regularly coming unstuck against someone in the lower half of the table, no other league is as intense. In Spain and Germany the big teams play a handful of very competitive games and the rest are virtually training matches and they then go into European games well practiced and less tired. Put the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Premiership and of course they could win it but they would not dominate and we would see many, not all, of their so called superstars turn out to be very ordinary.

If Liverpool rejected 80-100m for coutinho and neymar has gone for 190, Barcelona can transfer that straight across to us, I'm not saying his worth it, nor is coutinho or neymar but when compared we should get the highest fee,

Absolutely. Wether hazard is for sale or not. Barce have money and should be held to ransome. Personally i wouldn't sell as i don't know how we would replace him. And any new players coming in "need time to gel" and all that.
Its a player merry go round nowadays.

I really don't think Coutinho is worth that much personally. If he's worth £100m then Hazard definitely has to be worth £150m+.
