To OP, I'd go with that except Richards, don't see us signing him to be honest, recent Lamps injury with England may make us look at another CM more seriously, not suggesting its a long term injury but he is getting older and questions may be raised over his ability to play as much as he has before, although I'd rather see Josh given a chance to help rest Frank when needed and we still have Romeu who looked good in patches, better potential than Mikel in my opinion. Except for a RB and back-up striker most of the other positions are well covered by young or youth players. Looking forward to an amazing season with the signings we appear to have so far, Hazard and Hulk (I know these arent 100% confirmed but they are all but done from what we know), any more will be icing on the cake. And with the likes of Piazon, Josh, De Bruyne, Lukaku etc etc still to come ....... the futures bright, the futures Blue!

Iv said before at the right price most players could be brought apart from the likes of messi xavi and iniesta who probably will never leave barcalona so we could still get richards highly doubtful though

I think lampard or mikel will occupy the ldm in your team, don't think we will sign anyone for that position. Also I think a new rb would come, not sure who, but Ivanovic prefers to play cb and we have 3 of the best in the premier league in my opinion, and although I don't particularly like the idea, maybe ivanovic should make a move elsewhere, I dont see him wanting to be back-up as rb and cb.

Firstly where lucky capturing Hazard. Huge player etc etc, but good luck with us trying to handle his ego. Now that Chelsea seem to have landed such a huge player, we all seem to get our massive heads on and start looking at more huge signings. I keep hearing about the links to Moura. Why? Is Marin, Mata, Hazard,etc etc not a good enough attacking display? Mata is only 1 season fresh into the EPL and yet we want more of the best players who will come fresh and may take time in adapting to the EPL. Remember these players may only play there best football at there current clubs.... thats it! Those before mentioned players are young and versatile that they can play wings and attacking midfield, we don't need Moura! Not with the likes of Ramires, Essien, Lampard, Mikel etc.

Also there I also keep hearing about the link up with Hulk? I honestly think will get him but what will happen to our younger promising stars? Sturridge, Lukaku etc, where will they go? Do you think that Hulk linking up with Torres will be immediately amazing? Or just because they're two of the largest superstars that it'll be "fairy tale" partnership, and look nice on paper? I hope it'll be amazing on and off paper.

I honestly think that we should be considering options for a new RB - Bosingwa could be sold, a new CB - Ivanovic could well be on his way out with the right price from Barcelona, a new striker (Hulk which is bound to happen) and thats it. Oh also what ever happened to our youth system? Its terrible! Were our our crop of young talent that hasnt just been bought?

We've shown Europe what we are capable of with our crop of players, and there is no doubt that we can do it again next season without over the top spending as there's no need for it. I hate seeing on this Chelsea site that most of the fans are only interested on huge massive market signings. Yes it is banter and we all want our club to sign great players but, its almost as bad as looking at Man City site - player didn't perform well this season, oh well must boot him on. Player has just been linked with other top European clubs, oh well sign him on for a massive wod of cash etc before anyone else, and disregard our youth stepping up to the plate, and or signing other players that have great if not equal ability that wont cost an excess of 30 mil quid. Have money - must buy. Our policy is b****cks! Exactly like Man City. I would like to see Di Matteo still control the helm and prove to everyone that we are not following in the same footsteps as Mancini. I understand that now days you have to buy some of the best players in the world to try and strengthen our squad and to contend against the top 4 but i personally would love to see our younger players have a more crack at it next season. I hope we dont just buy a new starting 11 this transfer window and disregard players that have potential.

I ain't worried about sturridge talking of hazards ego, sturridge is a big headed t**t. But what makes it worse he ain't that good. Hulk is being brought in to play on the wing. I just want mceachran, Bertrand and lukaku to get game time this year

Moura in my opinion is already twice the player that Marin is and certainly one of the brightest prospects on this planet. Would be plain stupid not to go after him just because "we already have Marin". We still went after Hazard although we already bought Marin…If Goetze becomes available one day we should try to lure him, too if the slightest chance persists. (One can dream right guys? :)) You can never have enough talent!

My choices for next season:
Luiz straight swap for dani alves
Drogba,bosingwa,kalou =free
Malouda hopefully part of a deal for fellani plus £18m
Terry and lampard part of squad,similar to giggs and scholes at utd.
Schurrle as back up to Sturridge and Torres

Really Luiz straight swap for alves. Luiz is 25, Alves is almost 30. That part of your post not only makes it the dummest post I've seen in a while but also unrealistic. Well I do like the idea about schrulle would be an awesome and cheaper back up striker for Torres.

Everyone has there own thoughts and that's mine.Luiz is no doubt a quality player on the ball,but his positioning and defending is not as good as Cahill,terry or ivanovic.His passing and even shooting I think would suit a Defensive midfield role.I just think he makes too many rash decisions in and around the box.I can't really comment on VDW or Cesar as I have not seen any of them play.Alves is probably the best RB in the world and also a great defender.Really I would prefer Richards,but cannot see city selling.

Oh no i agree with you about luiz just dont think we should swap him for alves because with some training he will be good just buy alves

Armchair supporter by any chance?? we need a right back at most not a major though were trying to bring in hulk moura we got hazard and marin plus the likes of mcecharan piazon lukaku sturridge bertrand hutchinson van aanholt and others so please tell me how u worked out we need 8 new signings

Hi Ed, just wondering if Ivanovic actually dislikes playing RB, everyone is always saying that he doesn't like playing there. Did he mention this in an interview a while ago or is this just guesswork? Thanks in advance. {Ed001's Note - from what I remember of his interviews, he just said he wanted to play centre back, rather than right back.}

In these transfer rumour days, I think a lot of us are also wondering whats up with Josh McEachran.. Is he not the player we all thought he could be at this stage of his career? I truly hope he will become one of Englands best midfielders, but what will happen to him next season, and what do you think of the possibilities of him being a regular in Chelsea's starting 11 Ed ? {Ed001's Note - I expect him to be more of a regular sub myself.}

the talk of these great attacking talents who we could be signing is great but i think for us to be solid an strong we need a good right back,only options really cesar and VDW, but kyle walker would be my choice..and i think a solid central midfielder an i'd lve to see fernando there. class player. when we were most successful in the league it was makelele who was our linch pin an allowed all our attacking talent to do their job by breaking up the play so well an reading the game so possibly filling this void with fernndo will be our best signing

While watching the champions league final highlights,i noticed something i missed during live action..Something great!...Petr Cech dived in the correct direction for all the 6 bayern penalties,including the one he saved off robben in extra time!great isn't it?legend!

Feeling good, Hulk deal almost completed plus he just followed Mata and Hazard this morning on Twitter (gotta mean something right?). Can't wait for next season those three would be deadly with El Nino as well. Its only a MATA of time till things get HAZARDeous in europe cause HULK will smash!! Haha see what I did there.

Did we get several hundred millons for the champions league trophey

Maybe if we sold it on eBay but winning the final got us approx 50mil for this year and a larger share of English tv money for nxt year. Sadly we didn't get a tower full of money that roman could dive into :(

John Terry will probably receive a 12 match ban for alleged racism hence why hes not in the team for the start of next year.

With such an attacking 4 top players we need defensive cover and legs in the 2 center midfield positions, Ramires has shown he is a beast and has a fantastic engine, his tackling and passing have improved as well as his understanding of the EPL and Chelsea. A Perfect partner for him in the CM area would be Yann M'Villa, he is built and could easily cope with the physicality of the EPL, he has a very good and accurate short passing game, hes a consistent and potent tackler and interceptor and from what i have seen deserves the hype he has been given. He would be our rock and the security blanket for our defense, which is something i think we will need because i don't see Mata or Hazard or Hulk coming back on defensive duties. For the price of £20m that is being suggested and him being 21 i see him as a great buy.

Agree with ur defence completely, I think them two being our future at centre should gel, agree with ur front four. Then we have Marin as back up and debruyne or kakuta. Ramires being the attacking one of the two centres but think we should go get Fernando he's a beast at reading the game and tackleing or Martinez, but I think that will be mikes and lamps job next season. Hi ed as we all know we are currently working on deals or looking at certain players eg hazard hulk Marin plus a few more. With some of these close to completion. What will happen when a new manager is appointed and has his own targets. If these players are already signed will we also go after the managers targets. I realise with Chelsea it's not always down to managers opinion but surely he has some input and will have own ideas?
