Two things lads, well firstly, a good source has told me we are looking at 3 signings, a RB, a striker and Moses but Moses will only be at the price we demand, not Wigan's idea of a "fair" price. Striker could be Cavani if he forces the move or Rondon but his deal seems to have gone cold for the minute. Azpilicueta is easily top choice for a RB and Cole will not be joining United. And on a lighter note, anyone fancy a good laugh? I recommend the Liverfool banter page which is currently getting excited over Borini and believing Higuain and Sahin will be loaned to them due to BR's "links" to JM! They also seem to think Clint Dempsey and Joe Allen are the greatest midfielders on Earth and none of them think JC10 was ever a good player. Laughable. Or alternatively, try the Spuds page who believe AVB will win them the title, believe Pato, Remy or a top striker wants to join them, as well as raging over the Bale tackle in the friendly.

Couple of things:

1) We seem to want Moses as a replacement for Kalou? Why not save £10m and keep Kakuta to see if he develops...surely he can't be worse than Moses or even Piazon, I've seen him play off the left and Right before?!

2) César Azpilicueta...injury prone, couldn't make it in Spain at a poor club and hasn't exactly set the world on fire? If we wanted a young right back we should have nipped across London and got Nathaniel Clyne. Upto me I'd sign Debuchy or Maggio!

3) Hulk is a waste of money, at the price they are asking anyway...same goes for Cavani. If your going to fork out £40-70m I'd go with Falcao but as he won't leave I think Lewandowski would be perfect. Fast, Strong, great left foot, good in the air, can play up top on his own, good with the ball and would cost less than the others.

Dan

Believable6 Unbelievable2

I agree with the that hulk and cavani are overpriced, both biant but hulk especially is
Not worth 40m. I think kakuta is just not gd enough. Even at fulham he couldn't get in team. I think for ten million, Moses will be good squad player, young quick direct, and I can't comment on azpilcueta as not seen him, but like u say, he couldn't get in Spain squad so maybe not that amazing.

Agree0 Disagree4

I agree with the victor moses thing, lucas piazon could hold up the position just as well..

Agree4 Disagree0

Did azipilcueta even play in spain ?? as for national team hes got arbeloa and ramos who can play there infront of him {Ed018's Note - Osasuna}

Agree3 Disagree1

He was fantastic at Osasuna (Azpilicueta), he had a long lay off last season i believe, but i'm not sure that makes him injury prone?
I agree with Hulk, but i am not sure about Falcao, he is a fantastic finisher but he is not versatile. The only position he can play is upfront, and i think we need someone more versatile for our squad, someone who can both play with and offer competition to Torres.

Agree0 Disagree3

Ah osasuna he would of been young there though surely

as for the national squad you cant claim hes not a great player because he doesnt start for spain like i say hes got arbeloa and ramos (who can play right back) infront of him not exactly easy competition

curt

Agree0 Disagree5

Arbeloa isn't very good to be fair and Ramos is better at Centre Back. I'll tell you now if we sign Cesar Azpilicueta he will flop and be sold after a year. I'd stick with Ivanovic, he's a proper defensive right back which will be key seen as we have all this new attacking flair, after that I'd just bring in Debuchy or a young promising one as an understudy to Ivanovic like Wallace, Daniel Opare, Adam Matthews.

Oscar, David Luiz and Ramires are going back to the Brazilian national team in the 15th August. just thought I'd let you chaps know.

PR!

Believable3 Unbelievable6

How does that deserve two disargrees? All I was doing was letting you guys know that those players had a friendly on that date against Sweden...

PR! {Ed018's Note - who knows. everyone should just stop paying attention to the agree/disagree numbers. all it takes is for another supporter to come on and click it.}

Am I the only one who is questioning who is the driving force between the players that we are bringing in, it seems to me that all the players are the type of players that seem to suit pep guardiola, I hope I'm wrong because di matteo deserves a genuine chance.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

To be honest, isnt ita bit obvious pep dont wanna job till the season after this. di matteo gets a 2 year deal, with after 1 year chelsea or di matteo can release him. abromovic has met with pep. BLUEBOY1

Agree1 Disagree0

Does it really matter aslong as we get the league back where it belongs

Agree1 Disagree1

Where it belongs? why would YOU push for Liverpool to regain their pre-eminence?

Puzzled

infact no im not guna bother the league belonds with the mighty chelsea

Who else thinks Oscar could play the deep lying play maker role?

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Yes. Completely agree. I expect that when he plays, more often than not that's where he'll be.

IB.

Agree1 Disagree3

He could would prefer he didnt

we need one defensive minded player deeper and rami isnt that

curt

Agree1 Disagree5

Nah we need a defensive mid on the pitch and if your putting rami and oscar as the centre mids thats not going to work

curt

Agree1 Disagree7

I could see it happening, but i think it would be a waste, he is so good at picking a pass that splits the defense, and he is also great at moving into space in the box, and he can finish. I really want to see him deployed in the three behind the striker, with a fairly free role to do as he pleases.

Agree1 Disagree0

Of course he can, whn ganso plays fr brazil its where he plays

Agree2 Disagree0

Anyone that has a brain. Its obvious he is gonna grow and excel in that role. When Ganso came on yesterday he was really good there. And as I said in 3-4 years he is gonna be one of the best players in the world.

We got a gem.

ELI

Agree2 Disagree0

I can work it just means 1 of the 2 wing backs cant attack, ie ivanovic. their 4 u still in terms have 3 stayind defensive in say iva, luiz, terry. whilst cole pushes up. its no different than cole & ivan attacking and luiz, terry & mikel staying defensive. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree1

I have no doubt he could do it in certain games as even when he's further up the pitch he will come back to get the ball from deep.

Do you believe that Azpilicueta and Moses will be the 2 signings that have been much discussed, after comments from Gourlay? Are there any 'top' strikers available for a reasonable price? I know this last question subjective but I am sure you know what calibre of player I'm talking about. Many Thanks, Sam

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Read the posts good god iv seen brick walls that arent as clueless as you

Agree4 Disagree5

2 more big signings i dont see moses as a big signing we need a rb and a striker weve got plenty of wingers now

Ed, do you think Oscar will be competing for a first team place straight away or more likely to go into the reserve team?
FP {Ed018's Note - I can't see him going into the reserves. He will be in the first team and I would think after a few months he could become a regular starter}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Oscar is a HUGE waste in the reserves

not only from the price tag but the talent aswel

curt

Agree3 Disagree4

25mil for a reserve player, bit steep even for RA

Agree2 Disagree0

Do we think he'll be starting lol, he'll yea he will

Agree2 Disagree1

I cant see him in reserves what a waste of talent! Hes gota start on the bench
Carefree

Agree2 Disagree1

He starts for Brazil, and you think he might be in our reserves?

Agree2 Disagree0

£25m steep for a reserve player? You have one who costs £50m

Puzzled

Agree1 Disagree1

No puzzled he's starting. You on the other hand have a 35m striker that you can't give away if you tried.

Tk

Agree5 Disagree1

A bid is winging it's way to Liverpool from Roman even as we speak - he sees him as a replacement for a failed striker you have at the club

Puzzled

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah roman just feels those strikers you have deserve a better club

its a little bit speculative but chelsea could sign a lot of young talented players over the next two years or so. With the deal for Oscar finalised, the interest in Hulk and the Brazilians Ramires and Luiz already there it could lure a few more brilliant Brazilians to Chelsea. Ganso has refused a contract extension and expressed his interest in the prem. So Chelsea could be on the table. If we could lure him we may get Neymar from Santos as well because he will want to be with Ganso and if Malouda joins Santos it might sweeten the deal. Lucas has said he is interested in the prem as well and Chelsea put down a bid. With Brazilian ties at Chelsea, Lucas may join his mates there. Its just a theory of mine and quite hopeful but you never know.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Ganso wants to play for Milan not so interested in Prem

Agree3 Disagree1

You clearly have no concept of trransfers haha, waaay to much fifa mate!

Agree4 Disagree1

A lot of the younger brazilians are all quite friendly with piazon and luiz, ramires. Plus Oscar now. Lucas ocumpus smoking like that looks quite interesting aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats the equivalent of the spanish youngsters being good friends of course they will they have all played together from the age of like 16 for brazil

you could say it about any country

Agree0 Disagree0

It does help. but do we really need anymre for a minute? dont forget piazon aswell. BLUEBOY1

Agree1 Disagree1

Oscar is far far better than the injury prone Ganso, i would be disappointing if we brought him in especially with Mata and Hazard, same with Lucas tbh. Would love to see Neymar but it would be hard to justify dropping Mata or Hazard

Agree1 Disagree0

The only two we could get a use of are hulk and neymar. Oscar is far better than ganso and better than Lucas.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed tk and also i agree about ganso hes overrated in my views hes done nothing in a brazilian olympic squad that has bossed the games so far

would love neymar too join now but cant see it happening maybe when we retain our champions league he might join ;)

united apparently keeping an eye on cole because they wont pay more than 12 mill for baines

firstly cole is the best left back in the world

i know hes gettin on a bit but what makes united think hes worth less than 12 mill?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

It's just ferguson playing mind games. He's trying to unsettle the Chelsea squad. He must be bricking it already, we ain't even finished spending yet.

Agree2 Disagree0

The fact that he turns 31 this year and he has 1 year left on his contract. nevertheless, he wont join man utd i can guarentee it

Agree3 Disagree1

Not the point if he wanted cole now then he would have to cough up atleast 20 mill regardless of his age

fergie is a mug anyway people my disagree with my original post but i stick by the fact that cole is worth more than 12 mill

The best double hinge combination of the entire tour was essien and McEachran vs the sounders.

Tk

Believable2 Unbelievable2

It may also have been the weakest opposition?

Agree4 Disagree4

Actually psg. when they replaced lamp n obi

Agree5 Disagree0

To be fair it's was all their when they came on, passing quick to the attackers, creativity from mceachran, the power house tackling from Essien. Mceachran creates a lot of space for himself and very good at passing, tracked back well, but agree with this they did look good against a strong pig team. BLUEBOY1

Agree1 Disagree2

Damm spell checker lol psg

Agree1 Disagree2

Forget this double pivot nonsense, 1 guy just needs to sit in front of the defence, sweep up and give it simple , the rest have to move and interchange. 4231 worked last year but 4141 is the way to go this year

Agree0 Disagree2

See thats where ur wrong above. say we play a 4 2 3 1 of-

--------------CECH------------
IVA----LUIZ----JT------COLE
-------RAMIRES-OSCAR-----
HAZARD---MATA--MARIN
------------TORRES--------

see when attacking cole attacks ivanovic sits back, so really cole joins ramires and oscar in midfield, ramires goes right oscar centre cole left. and basically luiz can push in front of JT and iva but when defending they full back into position with cole & ramires falling back if needed.
--------------CECH--------------
-----IVAN----LUIZ---TERRY---
---RAM----OSCAR---COLE--
HAZ--------MATA----MARIN
------------TORRES---------

BLUEBOY1

Agree2 Disagree3

3 3 3 1 nice formation blueboy lol

think we should try it against weak teams

curt

Agree2 Disagree3

Its hot hough its a 4 2 3 1 just wen we attack it changes

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take the sounders starting midfield over some of the kiddies that Psg and Milan brought in.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree1

TK u mug they played pastore & lavezzi. lampard & mikel couldnt defend against them or get in behind them, but josh & ess did both of the above!

This site cracks me up! Anyone that scores u go mad asking if that player is wanted by Chelsea BUT! Sturridge scores a cracker and nufin gets said! Wot have I told u lot bout this bloke, play him in his right position and he will deliver the goods we Dnt need a big money name.

Pinky

Believable8 Unbelievable5

He scores one decent goal, prior to that he played two very average games, and even yesterday he didn't play that well, made some poor decisions and was selfish at times. I'm not sure that one strike proves anything.

Agree3 Disagree4

He played first two games as centr forward. And got subbed at half time and not long after, one goal in 3 games and 2 really really poor performances. Nice one

Agree3 Disagree2

Id like to see you overcome viral meningitas fully within 2 weeks haha

Agree6 Disagree3

Yer ive never been a fan of sturridge, but everyone convinced me on here to give him a chance up front so im going to this season. BLUEBOY1

Agree1 Disagree2

3 poor performances he was dreadful yesterday

Agree0 Disagree1

This is how thick u fans can be the bloke has just come back from a bad illness ant he aloud to get back to match fitness! Shocking and embrassing at some Chelsea fans! 100% clueless

Pinky

Agree4 Disagree2

Not really pinky he was dreadful before he was ill do yourself a favour and stop embarissing yourself

Agree3 Disagree2

Do you think he'd be playing if he wasn't fit enough?

IB.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sturridge is as good as Wellbeck!

Agree3 Disagree1

Pinky i am 100% behind you here, Studge to be El Ninos understudy this year!

AG

Agree2 Disagree1

Embrassing myself lol the bloke scored 12 in a position he didn't want to play in hardly poor is it! but torres who can't trap a dead rat in a telephone booth u rave about! Sort urself out ur clueless and are an embarsment to the Chelsea fans!

Pinky

Agree2 Disagree2

I like your metaphor but needless to say studge is not good enough

i dont rave about torres i just want him to be given a chance

few seasons back he was classed as top 3 strikers in the world

studge probably barely scraps the top 100 if he even does get there

but he may prove me wrong next season (i doubt it)

ur raving about him because he scored a good goal and a few last season he still doesnt pass EVER

them goals he scored most strikers could score in there sleep

Agree1 Disagree2

I agree with you pinky hes brilliant but abit young just needs to pass more. With the through balls coming from mata hazard Marin an Oscar this season Sturridge is quick enough to get on to the end of it and put in the back of the net.

Blue con

Agree3 Disagree1

Pinky im not being rude or nout who fk r u 2 judge hu shud be chelsea fans? peoples opinions m8 i h8 sturridge, but im willing 4 him to b 2nd choice, woopy he scored 1 good goal 11 tap ins 1 assist. a decent winger would of scored 12 and 15 assists
