Ed who do you think will take place of Essien&DeBruyne?

{Ed018's Note - I'd say Guarin will probably come in as a center mid and I don't think De Bruyne will be replaced in January if he leaves permanently. I would like to see Lucas Piazon come back next season and get a shot in the first team. He has had an excellent season so far}

Apparently Wolfsburg may be looking to sell Luis Gustavo, he would be a big improvement on Essien and definately Mikel. The brazilians in our squad could possibly tempt him to choose us two.

Gustavo is terrible. not an improvment on Mikel at all.

How do you no? Have you seen him play? He is a very good player and Brazil's no.1 holding midfielder for a reason!

Azpilicueta, Luiz, Willian and Hazard were all outstanding yesterday. Mourinho's effect on the team is really starting to shine through with our aggressive closing down all over the pitch and pace on counter attack.

Two really high class signings (one being a striker, the other a DCM or centre back) and we'll have an outstanding squad capable of challenging on all remaining fronts.

I do think Mata will, unfortunately, be elsewhere by February though - just doesn't fit the system and way Mourinho wants to play.

Agreed. A striker and a DM with a quality pass will take us to next level and possibly bring us the title or CL (not necessarily mutually exclusive)

I don't think Mata will leave before summer.
