Credit were its due.. Well done to city for completely shutting down man u. They still have a tough test in Newcastle though. Having said all that the two Manchester teams won't be leading so vastly next campaign with the mighty blues of London storming away! UP THE BLUES!

Agree mate, under RDM it will most definitely be a 3 horse race next year. United need big changes, and its hard to see how City can improve their squad too much, i reckon they're pretty much at their peak. Makes you think how many extra points we would of had if RDM was in charge from the off?

Id like to see the table from when RDM took over to now. BLUEBOY1

Hes had 8 games, from memory we've lost 1 and drew 3 i think so i think Castle/Everton/City/maybe United would still be above us, but when you consider the loss was Man City Away and then there is Spurs and Arsenal in there, Fulham away, its a fair return on its own. Pair that with the massive amount of fixtures inbetween its pretty impressive. Hard not to assume that some of the poor losses and draws earlier in the season wouldnt of happened with RDM, the 1-3 against Villa at the Bridge just wouldnt of happened

United does need big changes that's been evident over the last few weeks in they're performances.. i agree about city i cant see them improving the squad a whole lot over the summer but who knows.. they have a cash river that has no end in sight.. RDM just HAS to be given the job.. HAS to! cl win or not.. the change is there for everyone to see.. he bleeds blue, loves the club and the players and fans alike love him. Im really excited for the summer break to see who we will bring in to strengthen the squad with RDM at the helm... gives me goose bumps! UP THE BLUES!

How can you say it will be a 3 horse race? What's to say it couldn't be a 5 or 6 horse race?

Agree2 Disagree0

In that case whats to say it could'nt be a 20 horse race? in my opinion it will be one of 3, Who else is there? Arsenal will do well keep RVP fit for another full season but id still fancy them 4th, Spurs and Castle punching above there weight, cant see them being as good, or us being as bad next season. Everton, no, Liverpool, too far behind. If we dont get CL i think it will level a bit but it aint everr going be a 6 horse race

A little stat to show how good Mata has been for us this season, and his unnoticed involvement in the game yesterday. He played a part in 5 of our 6 goals (wasn't on the pitch for the 6th goal). And in the league he has 13 assists (which is the highest in the league). He also has 6 goals in the league in 33 matches, which means he either scores or assists in every two games. For his first season at the club he has been brilliant and is definately my chelsea player of the season so glad we bought him :). Who is your chelsea player of the season? ELI

Cant argue with anybody choosing Mata, for me though it would be Ramires, they would have to be the top 2 though

Mata has been had a great 1st season but for me its gota be ramieres hes done wonders for us this year his pace beats any defender on his day his passing is good and great finishing puts 100 percent in every week

Ivanovic has been a beast this year.

Great result and confidence booster last night. If Ivan wasn't back from now I would be extremely worried about the Newcastle game. Think Paulo definately showed he is lacking game awareness a couple of times last night, and we won't get the space we had last night on Wednesday when we are on the ball. Bos looked decent against poor oppostion, something I expect to be reversed on both Wednesday and Saturday.

Kalou was pretty poor yesterday I thought, his touch is non existent and his passing is poor. Essien was another that I thought was left lacking a little yesterday, his shot is no longer what it use to be and he has definately come back a few paces slower.

All in all a really good showing, Torres is looking like he wants to score which is certainly a change from 6-8 weeks ago. Sturridge was not clinical with his passing or in his attempts to get past men, but his pace was electric and that first strike with his weaker foot.... stunning!

So glad to see Hutch get a run out, hope he can keep the health in check and we can see him at the Bridge for many seasons to come.

What about kalou's pass for nandos first goal yesterday,
Believe me I'm not his biggest fan but that pass was top draw. Give credit where it's due.
Cfcmatt.

Agree5 Disagree0

Fair call cfcmatt but mate, one good pass and your calling for credit? The rest of his game was pretty average (the majority of his career has been pretty average). In my eyes the only stand outs were JT, Mata and Nando. Bosingwa stood out but only because of his lack of mistakes.

As i said really good showing by all but think we will need vast improvement for the next few games. Remember our squad against all 3 of Newcastle, Liverpool and Bayern will be fairly depleted.
