Eds can you give us any information regarding joses posistion as manager of Chelsea. Are the board even thinking of letting him go. Personally I hope he stays but he needs to take some responsibility for our poor form. He keeps playing a formation which doesn't suit the players we have. We may have won the league like this last season but the football at times was awful. If we are going to pay £20m for baba Rahman and then choose to not play him, we might aswell promoted a under 21 player. Playing zouma at RB is not going to teach him nothing when he's a CB. A high pressing 4-3-3 formation needs to be used.

{Ed002's Note - BR was a direct like-for-like replacement for a player who departed.}

Have not changed by view that Jose should be retained at least until end of the season. Hope we get through this difficult period and JM with us for long term.
But if we lose to Kiev on Wednesday his position will presumably be under severe threat - last time he was sacked it was after European CL defeat - even if no obvious replacements. Do not know what to believe re. rumours of player/s discontent -- can any of the eds shed any light on this?

If you ask me joses future is in his own hands! I think he could easily turn it around if he got off his high horse and backed down with his stubborn and almost pathetic and relentless "everyone is against us" mentality. He needs to publicly take some responsibility for results. Constant blaming of refs and the media is becoming concerning at this point! It actually does not help the players. Clearly moral is at a low and mou is only making it worse. There's no better man to guide Chelsea to silverware that him but he's backed himself into a corner and is to stubborn to get out and ultimately that is why I believe he will be sacked in the next few weeks! I just wish someone would knock some sense into him before its to late!

In regards to players they also need to take a large amount of responsibility they have been shocking. Diego Costa for instance I love the guy but he needs to go. He had little if any control over himself and like Jose at the moment is not helping the "Chelsea brand" there dose not seem to be that togetherness as there once was and its sad. Tactics wise were so predictable and boring. Same old same week in week out and were being found out all the time. Our solid defence saved us last year but that's gone down hill. The best thing to come out of this season so far is kurt zouma the new "marcel desially" he's an absolute beast of an athlete. Sorry for the long post BTW.

I am scared that it may be too late if we lose in champions league.

Chelsea brand? Jeez. Sound like an arsenal fan? Care more about the Chelsea "brand" then winning matches and trophies. Oh dear.

Re tactics, nothing has changed from last season? Not even the players yet we won the league at a canter. Why weren't you moaning then? Too many players form has dropped from last year and unfortunately for us, all at the same time. Iva, hazard, Fabregas, Costa, Matic. You take any of those players forms out of any team in the world and you'll struggle. Too many problems being blamed at Jose. Not enough at the players.

Nothing had changed from last year Adam? Our defence is shocking compared to last year which is what got us over the line! Players/managers are intelligent do you not think they analyse the way Chelsea play? And as for your Arsenal fan comment! The club is a brand and needs a good image in order to make money in order Continue to challenge! It's fairly simple really. Or are you one of the Roman era fans that believe money grows on trees? Everyone at the club needs to take responsibility in our predicament.

Whether one likes it or not football is a big business and business is about image and making money. RA will only tolerate that business of his being tarnished for so long and I would like to think that him and his team have warned JM to keep his mouth shut in future; whether he can remains to be seen. The players on the pitch are the ones losing games they are expected to win, there is only so much JM can do. The "stars" of last year have been shocking and no self respecting player should perform as they have. Not one player can genuinely be tired but some are playing as if they are, some at times look as if it is all too much for them and you do wonder if the hierarchy expect certain players to be playing every game because JM is smart enough to spot what we have but he persevered longer than made sense. This has all the makings of a mass clear out and a fresh start just when JM's return looked as if it could turn to gold. Personally, after a warning I would keep him and clear players.

Couldn't agree more Jose needs some one to have a word in his ear! Knowing his personality I doubt he would listen! I am genuinely not anti Jose he's the man for the job a living Chelsea legend and he commands respect but he's gone to a different level the this season with his interviews and comments and that's what I can't stand. The results I can deal with but the blame game week after week is just getting boring now! And you can tell the general consensus is fans are getting sick of it to! I adore the club Iv supported for 30 years and do not want to see it made a mockery off. Mourinho needs to put up or shut up and as for the player I don't care if it's hazard or RLC you don't want to play for the crest then do one! I'd love if we had 11 Dave's on the pitch. Him and zouma are the only ones who have looked remotely like they give a damn this season!

the general consensus? Are you sure mate? Have you not heard the fans that go away. They are well behind Jose, as should the majority of the fans should be. OK answer me, who else would you have come in and "manage" these players? The results you can accept? What 4/5 players who on top of their game would walk into the majority of sides all over the world but are not performing? Yet you can accept that? Wow.

Jose plays the blame game to keep the crap performances that he's been getting from the players and directing the attention on him, which he has done throughout his career. He takes so much stick, when it should be the players getting the brunt of the criticism.

Totally agree with the player though, whoever doesn't want to be there, hand in a Transfer request and leave. Don't want or need players like that at our club.
Cesar, Willian and Zouma - only players that look like they care about the club at the moment. Ramires and Mikel too I think.

Hazard, i think he's had enough to be honest, not sure why but think it could be a mental block more then anything. When someone comes out and says that he doesn't think he can reach the levels of Messi or Ronaldo then where is his dedication? He even admitted he couldn't be bothered after pre-season. What sort of attitude is that? Shocking!

It's all a mess and i think a number of players need to stand up and look at themselves in the mirror. Their performances are nowhere near good enough or even acceptable.

I do hope Jose is given time and money in January though, get the players we need and he wants in. We can still reach Europe, it's only 10 points between us and united and can't see them not dropping points over the season.

Up The Chels!

Who else could come in and "manage" . Why would I answer that when Iv said I want Jose to stay . I also want him to stop the crap talk week in week out. It's relentless and makes the club a laughing stock! I don't doubt the majority of fans want Jose to stay, I'm one of them, but he needs to tone it down! If rumours are to be believed, something has to give because I can't see anything changing unless either Jose goes or this "faction" of players against him goes. In my honest opinion right or wrong this all stems from what happens with eve and Jon against Swansea.

I know many of us wants Mou to stay maybe because he's a legend for us, what he has done. But I guess we need to see d reality $ bigger pictures. For all he had achieved, he's not suited for long term neither does he play a good brand football we all crave. He doesn't play to his players strenght but forces them to adapt his outdated, n rigid, borin style. Have u ever wondered why almost all d players he sold have suddenly become better? Wait until Hazard, Oscar and other young players leave for a more attacking clubs. I personally regret not getting Klopp b4 he joined L'pool. Again Mou is not a long term manager and u would be deluded to think he would stay long with us. So many factors will never allow as he he thrives on controversies either wit players, board, FA, other managers etc. Just when we started enjoying good football under Benites wit d 3 Amigos then Mou came $ undid all. We all wanted a fine-tuning to that team. I can go on $ on. We risk losing out on UCL spot if not done now because players are already bent on not playing foe him. And subsequently miss out on our big targets that will push to our dream level of Madrid, Bayern, Barca, etc.

Boring football? Huh. You have too short memory mate. Hazard, Fabregas, Costa were flying last season. Where were you moaning about our style then?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 16:36:42
Until White Hart Lane we were flying it's true - but 1 defeat and Jose reverted to his defensive mentality and we have not played one game with any flair since. The problem is that Mourinho would have hated our 6-3 win at Everton last season - all he would have seen was 3 goals conceded - it is his nature and he can't change it. At this stage in the club's development, we should be better than just grinding out results - and we have the players to be an attacking force. But it'll never happen under Jose.

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Nov 2015 23:53:50
The question is though, did Jose revert to his defensive football because we lost or because players were already dropping off form. Personally I think it was the latter.

My question to those who want Jose out is where do you go from there. Don't tell me that Carlo will do the club a favor and take the job til the end of the season with the way we axed him. Hiddink might be the next best option but he managed the Dutch so well that they didn't qualify for the most saturated Euros of all time. Let us not forget that we have to put together a very nice finish to qualify for the top 4 and if we don't then you're having a laugh if you think Guardiola or Simeone are coming to the club. If you think Hazard is itching to leave with Jose in charge, imagine how he'd feel if he had to play on Thursdays. Say in your dream scenario Jose goes and we still manage to qualify for the top 4 playing much better, that tells me we have a bunch of children that throw their toys out the pram when things don't go their way. If this club wants to progress they must stick behind Jose.

Relax mate, you won't finish in the top 4 no matter what happens now bro!

Everyone needs to relax and know Courtois is back soon and we will turn this around! Hazard is lazy and playing pathetic I think he is trying to show Mou he doeany want to track back and we should have taken DOUGLAS Costa not Pedro but too late now! Nowhere to place Mou now as any other coach won't do better and his Dad has been really sick so anyone who would be where he is may be feeling the same and nit his players are under performing not just his fault or defense sucks! We need to attack more and we need to play more ball control we do neither so until we wake up we will be bad! lastly look at Klopp last year with Dortmund can Happen to any club.
