Am I the only one that fears Chelsea will have a relatively bad season, I think this season will be a rebuilding season, but what I fear is that Abramovich might sack Mourinho because of a bad season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Based on what evidence? Yes you're the only one on the planet who thinks Jose gets fired this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Try reading everything next time, I don't think he will get fired, I say I'm afraid he will, if Abramovich don't understand it takes a season to rebuild a team.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see Mourinho having a bad season, we'll be top 2 in my opinion. If I'm wrong however, I am getting the impression that Roman has seen the revolving door policy of managers isn't the road to continued success and will give Mourinho time to build his team.

Haven't we been rebuilding for the last two years anyway? I'm sure bringing in 3-4 players really won't upset much. Maybe keep your fears to yourself in the future

Agree0 Disagree0

It's weird, but I have absolutely no fears of a bad season. Maybe that's us setting ourselves up for disappointment, but everything just feels wildly positive right now.

Hello people in charge of Chelsea rumours.

Any chance that Kiesuke Honda may be considered? He's a free agent now isn't he?

Also, is it unlikely the Wayne Rooney story has any legs? I can't see Manchester United letting him go to Chelsea FC for a "mere" £20 million.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Honda is not a free agent now.

Now that mourinho held talks with van ginkel, expect him to sign by Friday or early next week, it now remains only a striler and guaranteed clean sweep of everything in our path, by the look of things right now our second eleven are Good enough to beat utd, though ruddy is still not finalised.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

A new centre back would be nice.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rather van ginkel. Get him signed up. Our midfield looks quite rubbish ATM. Lampard and Essien past sell by date, Mikel just useless.

Aubameyang will sign for Dortmund, 5-year-deal, 13million Euros transfer fee.

Just posting because Chelsea were interested.

Cheers

Hi Ed002, I see on the Liverpool page you say our CB interest lies away from people such as de Vrij, is it still concentrated on Mangala? If not, who? Apologies if it's been stated already.

Let me go straight to my point, Oscar should be played ahead of mata as he will bring more out of a striker and the front three, not a bad idea if mata put to the wings, but I tell you we will be more forceful if Oscar is in that position that mata even de bryune will be better option, i'm not saying that mata is not good at that position because he did a good job there last season, but for the future these two are faster and stronger, though equally technical in terms of taking on defenders and passing, let me share my thoughts with with the current attacking mid we have in hazard oscar mata de bruyne schrulle piazon (why piazon cause I believe with the exception of hazard he is as Good as as all the attacking mid we got just younger but he has got all heart, tech. Skill) any striker can flourish now that mourinho is in charge. Although I will love it we can get cavani, but I want assure you that with the available squad only man city can challenge us for the title.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree on the fact we should play mata on the wing and oscar in the centre. I don't think piazon is ready yet, but he will be great in the future no doubt.

Mata. 96 chances created for his team mates last season, 2nd highest in the world behind Pirlo 112. I think that answer's that!
Oscar would be better as a deep lying play maker in one of the two sat in front of defence, he's played there for Brazel and done really well. That position is not so much about tackling and more about pressing the other team into giving the ball away and then being able to pick the correct passes. Something which Oscar is good at, he's a very intelligent football!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think mata behind the striker works really well as he does not have the explosive pace which hazard or now schurrle have. Not many teams in the league can score goals throughout the team. We need a class striker at the top of his game (cavani or lewandowski). luiz for me should play in midfield next to oscar.

Agree0 Disagree0

No no no. Mata isn't half the player on the wing. Sorry but its true. Oscar is better deeper! By far.

Recently whenever a debate about McEachran and his future has came out there are quite a few people who say he's only 20 there's plenty of time. Usually I wouldn't think anything of this but nowadays 20 is about the time where players begin to make their mark. Competing with josh you have guys like oscar who at the age of 20 was starting champions league games for the club and was a full international for brazil. Kevin de bruyne who while 2 years older has accomplished far more in football. Nathaniel chalobah looks to have settled down in the midfield and is at the same level but two years younger. We've also been heavily linked with van Ginkel who is the same age and has outshone josh at the u21 albeit playing for a better team. Then you also have young talents emerging such as Reuben loftus cheek and lewis baker who might get to the stage where were looking to loan them to a championship side by January. I love josh to death and I root harder for him than most other players we have but I just feel like the clock is ticking.

Unfortunately I have to agree, I simply don't think he has developed enough physically, he is a lot slower and weaker than his rivals, and there are players who have his passing ability but combine it with strength and athleticism. He simply doesn't shine as he used to.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people don't grow as quick, some too quick. Josh has plenty of time, and to be honest he's a better passer of the ball than anyone we have. He younger than Oscar. Oscar wasn't exactly amazing last year just steady.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oscar is currently better than McEachran will ever be.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oscar was quality last season especially when you consider his age and the fact it was not only his first season with the club but also his first in England. I belive we have a real star in him he played a stupid amount of games for club and country and has looked class during the confederations cup.
