Sky Italia are reporting that Chelsea have no indication to pay Sarri's release clause of 7 mil and the manager Is expected to stay on the sidelines for the year.

The whole thing has been weird, we are wasting precious time in appointing a new manager and sacking the current manager. Delaying transfers too. This is the receipe for disaster, the club seems a bit lost. Since last year things have got really bad and very slow. I hope they know what they are doing, I have a feeling Laurent Blanc will lead us next year lol. Of course Hazard probably do a Costa and escape!

Completely unprepared, its almost as if the end of season came out of nowhere and surprised us, no plan in place,

Matt so you think a club generating 100s of millions of pounds just make it up everyday they start work
Of course they have a plan but things take time it's not figs
Employment law and other factors don't take minutes when millions of pounds are being bound about
Just chill I'm sure there is a plan
I think you'd be better off on twitter were things happen on a minute by minute schedule but it might not be 100% accurate.

I can see where Matt is coming from, I'm hoping That the club has some sort of plan, whether it's good or bad but what is of concern is the time it's taken. You would have thought they had a plan for Conte's situation before the season ended and would have wanted it done asap so they could work together with the new manager and get some transfers in before the World Cup.

I am getting slightly worried about the Laurent Blanc rumours though. Painful, I wouldn't rather Enrique or even anything than him.

Oh god here we go again. it’s the World Cup, it’s a shorter pre season. We have a long list of players who are not good enough and need moving on, we need a number of good additions, we have a manager who wants out and a board who want him out, we have a target we want in and he wants in too, our players will have to adapt to new manager and style. LFC have strengthened already when ahaead of us, United linked everyday to signings, city too. and us. were not active, why is it as if I’m being ridiculous pointing out how unprepared we are? It’s almost as if having concerns makes me less of a fan or better yet a troll!

Maybe their lack of interest in paying his buy out is an excuse to drop him. They were 'reporting' that he wanted to bring five Napoli players with him including a 35 year old, that was binned and it was three players, meeting their buy clauses of £100m and wanting another £80m for further buys! Now had Conte asked for that last year we know what the answer would have been! I think we missed a trick with Ancelotti.

Chelsea board is a joke, I don't care, I know we won 2 titles in 4 years. But the truth is we are going backwards more quicker than you could imagine. Liverpool, Man Utd and Man City will attract players over us, players would rather go to them rather than us, we can't even pay 7m to get a manger knowing that our current manager wants out. Because of this 7m we are now linked to Lauren Blanc. 7m? welcome to Chelsea penny pinching FC of the modern ere. At this rate I ain't buying the new kit or renewing my sky sports deal.

Ed1 what's the hold with the Sarri deal mate? Is our board counting all the pennies in paying sarri's release clause and sacking Conte? Or is because they are considering all their option s before they appoint?

Are we trying to get a good deal in sacking Conte? Also why would the Napoli owner give us a discount given that we were one of the teams that swayed Sarri from signing an extension.

Thanks for your input mate.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know anything about any Sarri deal sorry. I know Conte is just about not wanting to pay up his full contract to get rid of a manager who wants to go anyway.}

I'm all for Lampard getting the derby job but taking Jody with him 😩.

I agree Danny.
Good luck to Lamps and I hope he makes a massive success of the job so he can come back to the bridge as our manager.
If the Morris move is true, it’s a shame but only because I guess he can’t see any progression at Chelsea.
Anyway, good luck to both of them.

Agree, good luck to both and it is a good start for Lampard and a great opportunity for Morris and hopefully will pave the way for their return to Stamford Bridge sometime in the not too distant future. This might inspire JT to call it a day and start looking at a manager/ coach role somewhere to get him in the system.

I don't think taking the job with lamps means that he can't see any progression at Chelsea. it could well be the best way to become assistant at Chelsea. I just hope derby get rangers in a friendly and tear them apart!

Scot, as far as Jodie is concerned, I was converting the Zola as assistant to Sarri rumours into fact. Which is alway a dangerous thing to do!

I'd suspect zola would help keep sari in line with the players fans and also media having been in the Chelsea set up already. a great idea. seen a few rumours of ballack being employed as DoF or something like that. not sure if anybody has heard that?

Ballack is highly intelligent and was highly thought of off and on the pitch and the story has been circulating for some time and I am sure he would be a nice fit as he played at the highest level. Zola was a genius on the pitch but nearly every managing/ coaching he was deemed too weak.
