Ed could you also update us if we are trying to sign veratti. Few days ago I remember that he was offered to Chelsea but price was a concern. Similar message was there on Saul niguez.

I think Ed002 said on the European page or Real Madrid page that they are interested in Veratti, assume he'll be a replacement for Kroos if he leaves. Veratti and Modric is a scary midfield two, I'll be extremely jealous of them if they can pull that off!

This site isn't for people to ask Ed002 and the other editors for information. It's for people to discuss all things Chelsea (or whichever club site you're on) . I enjoy speaking to other fans from around the world which is why I come back, the eds info is just a bonus.

It has said this was a possibility a while ago now. But just like you I can't understand it. He's so young and already a class defender. Why not let him complete his 2nd year on loan at Gladbach and then let him come back to strengthen our 1st team?
Terry is old, Ivanovic is on his last legs and while Cahill is decent, he isn't top class either. There would certainly be an opportunity for him when he comes back.
For the life of me I can't understand why we'd sell him. He was player of the season at the club that finished 4th in Bundesliga and he got into the Bundesliga Team of the Season, all at the tender age of 20 in his first full professional season of actually playing.
Add to that the fact that he'd be a homegrown player for the club and it becomes even more insane.
