Just abit of a laugh now to keep this page filled unlike the city page lol. If you could have 3 new players in the squad without obviously messi and ronaldo where there is definately no chance of signing who would they be. 1 you have to pick as a replacement GK for petr Cech who I think will leave in the summer and not january. Here's my three and I couldn't decide on my 3rd so I've chose a returning loanee. You also need to have 3 outbound aswell to make way for the new signings. Also have a go too if you want ed?
Here's mine:
Butland for Cech
Pogba for Ramires
Returning loanee: Bertrand Traore for Oscar

{Ed008's Note -
Butland to replace Cech
Pogba to replace Ramires
I can't decide between Varane for Cahill or Bale to replace Willian.
Butland for Cech (or even Darlow)
Pogba for Ramires
Rues (if he counts) for Schurrle, if not bale for Schurrle

Adrian to replace Cech
Bale or alexis Sanchez to play right wing for Ramires
Pogba

Aron I wouldn't expect darlow. He joined newcastle from forest in the summer but he's just staying there on loan.

KingEden you'd sell Oscar ahead of Schurrle and Willian?

Yes. If it meant us getting Pogba. Oscar is quite over-rated IMO. Still a very good player though. But if we could sell him for something silly to PSG and use it for Pogba. Then move Cesc to no.10 or go to a 4-3-3. Imagine a midfield of Pogba-Matic-Fabregas? WOW. That would give us the power we had with Essien-Makelele-Lampard except we would have more creativity. I've got nothing against Oscar but I'm a fan of a really creative No.10. And with Pogba-Matic together that would also really help us defensively. Just my opinion.

King Eden that's why it said 'transfers that would be impossible' ;) I know it wouldn't be likely
Agree0
Disagree0
Phrased that wrong. I wouldn't sell Cahill, but I'd want Varane to come in and take his place (if he earns it).
Agree0
Disagree0
Ed008 spot on mate. Pogba for Ramires, Butland for Cech and Varane for Cahill.
Agree0
Disagree0
Pogba- Rami, Bale-Willian and Varane - Cahill.
That would only cost approximately 160mil.
Anyone's got Roman's digits. :)
Agree0

ELI Ramires-Bale will never happen! Hazard-Bale is possible swap.Chelsea operates without RA help ATM.Varane can be bought Cahill should be kept.Pogba-Mikel yes but not as a swapp deal. All this is possible only next summer.
Agree0

TBH all those imaginary transfers will never happen!!!

So you don't think Pogba could happen? I Do. Juventus could really do with selling one of either Pogba or Vidal, and if we give Ramires as part of the deal that could help push the deal through.
I remember when no one thought fabregas was possible in the summer or hazard after the champions league.
Agree0
Disagree0
Of course Pogba is not IMpossible, it's just that the chances of him joining are miniscule at best. I trust Ed fully and if he states that we shouldn't hold our breath then I'll be realistic and realize that he won't join us in all likelihood.
Agree0
Disagree0
KE both mentioned players are closer to MU.They need one of those players more than we do, plus MU has more money. They might even sign one of them in January, since Vidal has longstanding injury problem, MU will probably try to sign Pogba.
Agree0
Disagree0
Ed mentioned that Utd don't have an interest in Pogba. Think Strootman is their obvious midfield target if he can prove that he's fit. Apparently they're also still interested in William Carvalho.
I actually don't know who could be in for Pogba. It's hard to imagine him staying much longer at Juve. PSG and City with the FFP situation, I don't know if they'd be in for Pogba. Then you have Barca with their ban. Madrid perhaps? Or dare I say it, Bayern? :-P

I think vidals market has gone down vastly in the past year. The knee issue got rushed and he's yet to return to where he was capable of before the summer. I think ultimately pogba will push through a move. The market will be decided by how far along that is. I can't imagine he will stay after the euros but by then city and PSG will be out of the doghouse with fifa and a ton of other things can change.

Hi all,
I asked this on the rumours page but it got put in the comments so I doubt anyone will see it.
I'm just wondering, Could anyone give a half decent assessment of Kramaric? I don't think youtube really gives a good indication and any things I have read on their own seem to have the tint of overhype.
Just an unbiased view of anyone who has seen a bit of him play or has maybe been following him for a while.
Thanks people :)

Tbh I don't even know who he plays for haha, perhaps one of the eds may know, Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - he is a Croatian striker, not seen enough of him myself to judge him, having only seen him the once for his country, but I have been told he has stood out as a class apart for his club, Rijeka I think it is. He is supposed to be quick (and what I saw of him agrees with that) and a deadly finisher. I was told to think of Ian Rush, but without the constant harrassment of defenders, in that he looks to pass the ball into the net more often than blasting it. Very technically gifted and often is involved early in the build up to goals, not the physical bruiser like Drogba who holds people off with brute strength, but still capable of taking the ball under pressure and laying it off. It is claimed that he is that much better than anyone else in his league that he has dragged them up into contention on his own. He will need time to adapt, but seems to be the real deal.}
Cheers mate! You're a champ

Thanks Ed001, with that assessment, and for only 7mill I say sign him up.

I'd rather Vidal than Pogba or koke. More complete player. Excellent both in defence and attack. Just saying.

And he's got a dodgy knee as well. Much rather Pogba, and that was even before Vidal's injury. Pogba's got insane, out of this world ability. He's what, like 22 years old now? He can be unstoppable in a couple of years.
Agree0
Disagree0
{Ed008's Note - Vidal has been poor compared to the standards he set over the last 2-3 years for Juventus dropped a few times in place of Pereyra. If Oscar can be sold I'd want Pogba all day.
I'd prefer us to keep Oscar. Such a likeable guy and a cracking player when on form :)
I'd kill for Pogba! He'd be a dream come true. And during 2014 not a lot of dreams have come true so 2015 better give me Pogba in Chelsea jersey.

I really doubt that there is chance to sign Pogba or Vidal.

Any interest in Oscar Ed? Only asking because I think last time you mentioned PSG were really interested in him?
Agree0
Disagree0
{Ed008's Note - I still think from what I remember Ed002 has said in the past that they are a club interested but they have FFP issues to deal with at the moment so it's hard to see where they could get the funds to sign the Brazilian.
29 Dec 2014 21:38:59
Agreed that it doesn't make much sense to bring in either without moving on Oscar. That being said i'd take Pogba over just about anyone in the world. He's incredible.

In all honestly I love Oscar but he doesn't create as much as fabregas would in that no.10 position. If PSG offered 40 million for Oscar I'd take it run it to Naples and put it straight on the desk at Juventus.
Agree0
Disagree0
Oscar is a great player for me, but I don't know what it is. His pressing is amazing, but he sometimes has off passing/shooting ect an is very inconsistent.
I'd pay anything for pogba. He's god like. That said I wouldn't sell oscar for anything lower than 40 million

Aron my dear mate, Oscar is a future Fabregas!

Hey Ed001 mate, have you guys ever thought of an app for the site? Is that on the to do list, would be great and would really make the site feel like a community. You guys are doing a great job, cheers.

{Ed002's Note - An App is on the cards at sometime. I suspect it will be more like an institution rather than a community.}

Not so involving to the topic but I read an article about buying a new ground for youth and women team today. It would be AFC Wimbledon with 5000 seats.
