What a player Hazard is, definitely an argument to be made for him being Chelsea's greatest ever player (Purely in terms of talent, gets more complicated when you factor in external qualities) though he has the likes of Drogba and Bogarde to compete with.

I remember when Hazard originally came to us he was played as more of a traditional number 10. Even now when he plays on the left he tends to drift inwards. Ed001, do you think Hazard could prove even more effective if he was played as a traditional number 10 again? (assuming the change in formation to accommodate this change was just as effective) .

{Ed001's Note - he certainly could play there and, if he works out his role well, then he would be even better there. It does come down to him relearning a role, but it should allow him the freedom to find space where he can hurt the opposition most. I would like to see it myself.}

Only thing tha is missing from his game is to be more selfish. He should be scoring double the goals.

I remember Fabregas urging Hazard to be more selfish last season but Conte blasted Fabregas. I really support that Hazard needs to be more selfish and shoot more at the goal.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I think we have all thought his one weakness was a lack of goals. Well other than Conte!}

I was going to post something similar until i saw this post, Hazard as a natural number 10 would be great for us imo. I'd actually like to try using him as the 3rd CM spot against weaker opposition, move him forward as a CAM and put CHO or Willian at LW and Pedro at RW. Use kante or Kova and Jorginho as the other two CM's. Really think it'll help us against teams who pack their defence. What do you think?

Reading this, I'm wondering how PSG's owners can give their club that much money. Isn't that the exact opposite of what FFP targets? Or am I totally in the wrong.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it really depends on how it is done. The point of FFP is to stop a club, such as happened with Gretna, surviving purely on the funds pumped in by a sugar daddy owner who then gets bored or dies (as in Gretna's case) and leaves them with a wage bill massively beyond their ability to pay and the club dying. PSG could afford what they have done, it is just they have to tighten belts or offload players to do so. The capital injection is meant to replace the need to offload those players, as they never managed to sell them.}
