Trouble is they are used to being top dogs. They have not moved on, so they lose 3-0 to psg they won't be the only team to lose to psg, but that is an over reaction.
However we didn't treat Carlo too well.

Since Ancelotti left AC Milan, he's kinda struggled in his second season at every club he's coached. Why's that?

I never thought I'd be saying this about our Jose but I think that, tactically, Conte makes Mourinho look like a dinosaur.

Let's hope he stays for many years!

I can't believe all the negative stuff I am hearing about David Luiz on here and from some pundits.

He has clearly proven to be one of the best in that position and against Arsenal he had an impeccable game and would have been the MOTM but for his sending off.

He was really good yesterday barring that one moment. But you have to remember that a shirt pull during a corner kick is almost the norm in the premier league and it goes unpunished by referees. Yes it was silly but it does not make one of our better players rash over night. This guy plays with injuries and never complains and always give a top performance.

The media would do anything to brand David Luiz as rash and have been waiting a very long time for a valid mistake and yesterday they get one and wow they all jump on it. Conte knows what he has in Luiz.

I don't think anyone is or should be doubting Luiz's importance to the club but he should watch it; his mistake almost wasted the team's effort against A/ Madrid.

He played a good game though, Thank God we won.

The media have to justify their existence. In general they are totally inept with the worst being ex-players who struggle for words let alone reasoned argument or comment.

Being called a "circus clown" does not show that he is of any importance to the club. Being called a cheat by Roy Keane and Danny Mills stating that the rash Luiz is probably back. Even John Terry made mistakes in his hay days. This was David Luiz's first needless mistake since his been back. I won't take criticim of the player seriously until it comes from one of our former players.

Anyway my point is not to jump on the bandwagon and unsettle one of our better players. Media love to throw dirt at us on a regular basis and Luiz seems to be taking a lot of headlines.

Hopefully we get a result against City this weekend and then i would love to see many broadcasters swollow the bitter pill and accept that the champions are still alive.

No worries CFCShak, Conte is strongly behind Luiz. I think everyone has baggage and the club knew about his baggage before they bought him back from PSG.
He's a very good ball playing defender.

hes never been a top defender look at the state of him in that world cup in brazil he was a horror show. he gets away with it playing in a back 3 but he has improved no end gice him that but then he shows his ols stupidity in a game v arsenal when he tries to over play and den stupidly lunges in and dat penalty against madrid was just brain dead d ref was always going to give it he need sto stick to what he ms good at reading the game and playing lovely passes forward not making rash decisions i just always worry with him and gary cahill there's always a mistake is them.

Now that we're well into the new season, looking at the squad we're a bit short on depth at left-back and striker.
Alonso has been great, but can't play every game, and if one of our strikers gets injured we'd be struggling to have game changers on the bench.
Since we missed out on Llorente and Sandro in the summer, any idea of new targets in these positions - maybe even for a January signing?
