Someone get Jamie Vardy to Chelsea please.
28 Nov 2015 18:29:45
Such a clinical finisher, anyway somehow can't see him succeding in any other club. Also remember that teams sit deep versus us where vardy is all about running into space.

So is Aubameyang and most Chelsea fans want him. Vardy harasses defenders they're scared to death of his pace. I'd rather take a risk with Vardy for 20 million than go 40+ for Aubameyang.

Personally I don't see Vardy making it at a top club. Also Leicester have apparently said they wouldn't sell him for less than 30m. To me that's a lot for what would be a 29 year old with half a good goalscoring season under his belt.

Stop looking at players in isolation. You have to see them in context of the service they are getting and who is around them. If that structure is not there no point acquiring them.

Dear Ed002,
I hope you are well. It has been a long time since I last posted. It is good to see that you are answering direct/specific questions. I have one. I know in the past you have mentioned that there are a handful of young players either in the development squads or on loan that the club has particularly high hopes for.
The last post of yours like this was with regard to the young strikers at the club and you stated that Stipe Perica was a player the club felt was extremely promising. Obviously there were people at the club who rated him highly when you provided that information so I wondered whether you could give a couple of names of young players that the club currently feel could have a serious future at Chelsea.
Obviously all of the youngsters at Chelsea are talented players but I gather there is usually a general consensus amongst senior coaches/officials at a club as to which players have what it takes physically and mentally to break through at a top club like Chelsea.
I hoped you might give us an insight as to which young players are currently viewed in this way by the club. Thanks very much for your time. It's good to have you back.
{Ed002's Note - Much is expected of Boga, Christensen, Manea, Ake, Pasalic and Baker. I suspect Christensen may look elsewhere for game time at some point.}
28 Nov 2015 12:39:29
Christensen is getting a lot of game time at the moment which excites me but a lack of game time for boga worries me a bit too. Does anyone know whether chelsea are happy with solanke he seems to be doing well at vitesse with baker.

To be honest, if Christensen keeps playing the way he's playing, I'd recall him next summer and implement him in the first team. Would be a shame to lose him when he's probably better than Terry/Cahill. Him and Zouma could be a killer combo.

While those are all very exciting youngsters, I'd say Musonda is the most talented of the bunch. Shame the club perhaps don't agree on that.
