After watching barca vs Milan, I think that while we will probably not beat them ( providing we beat benfica) we will certainly not roll over .

Any ED the other day i heard that at the Man Utd and Fulham game there was a 6 second delay in the pictures we were getting is this always the case are the games always a few seconds ahead of us watching on the TV? {Ed001's Note - there is always a delay on satellite TV, partially due to the distance the signal has to travel. I have not heard of any extra delay being put in, the only time that is usually done is to avoid the risk of swearing on live TV.}

Hope we manage to keep luiz mata and Torres

All could become legends, well maybe not Torres

Jm10

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Correction Torres will be a Chelsea legend

FT9

Agree4 Disagree5

Yeah,maybe not Torres,in the league,24 matches,2 goals,3 assists,46 shots,not what legends are made of is it.

Agree3 Disagree2

U have no clue torres just needs a goal u just wait and see

kaz

Agree3 Disagree3

Tell me the last time Torres gt played a through ball to score a clear goal? Exactly

Agree6 Disagree0

Good point, cos Torres cant create chances for himself like other top strikers, and even when clean through on goal he fluffs it,not good enough,

Agree2 Disagree5

I love reading clueless posts... Torres hasn't scored as we do not have a midfielder who can thread a pass through to Torres who plays on the shoulder of the last centre back...
If we had signed Modric then trust me Torres would be in double figures...
Go and watch some of the old Liverpool games and see how Gerrard threads the balls to Torres repeatedly...
Torres will become a Chelsea legend, mark my words!

Latest rumour is that Fellaini is on the Chelsea radar. We trying to turn Chelsea into a outpost of Belguim football? Not sure that he is even that good meself. Fact or Twitter?

Really pleased that some of the boys who have been getting slated this season (by me aswell) dug deep and put in a good performance last night. Seems RDM has got them to play for the shirt again. Can only up there sale price in the summer. Jono check out the player profile page ed022 has done a great profile on azi. On the crap phone again, sorry fellas. Melbourne CFC

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yeah I agree, mereiles Kalou and Ferreira all did there job and did it well I'm starting to think we should try to keep Kalou because he is quite a useful squad player

Nova

Agree2 Disagree1

I don't believe people give Kalou enough credit. In a starting role he flat out doesn't do well but he can be a good impact sub which really has quite a bit of value if you ask me. You just have to use him correctly.

Tk

Agree3 Disagree0

Lets just not jump to conclusions, yet. Yes he tapped in a perfect pass. Even the Mighty Carrol should have been able of putting this one in.

Kalou is not a starter. He may be useful in some games if he accepts a moderate pay and an according role in the team.

But this is not how it works. Hedefinitely doesn't think of himself, the way i think if him. His agent surely understands that coming into his prime at the age of 26 he could easily land a lucrative starting job in, say, Turkey.

Are we really supposed to be paying him something that Joe Cole wanted at Chelsea, just to have him around? If there is a continuity in the thinking of the front office, then i know the answer.

JG

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes, but Kalou's work rate last night was fantastic. Was popping up all over the pitch.

Agree1 Disagree1

If u watch torres's "perfect pass" you will see that he kicked the floor first , making it not such a perfect pass.
Yes he ran about a lot , held the ball up well made good runs and looked on it all night but he got lucky with that pass.
As for kalou then he puts in a much better shift defensively than sturridge and cole ever did and that's what we needed last night. if he's happy to be a squad player then I'd keep
him.
As for next manager I think it will be cappello or deschamps but I'd be happy with glen hoddle.
Cfcmatt.

Agree1 Disagree3

Better team player than sturridge

Agree1 Disagree0

Cfc matt, you cant dink the ball like that without your foot hitting the floor, do you play football or just think u know all about it?

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you on about you div.
He defo kicked the floor first hence the 9iron size divot that came out of the pitch.
This may happen also when you try to dink a ball as you've probably got 2 left feet a touch like a rapist and yor 2nd touch is probably a header.
Cfcmatt.
Ps. Sign your posts , so next time I can laugh at your comments.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah nice 1 pal, abuse some1 u dont know. I aint been able to play football for years due to loss of use of my legs, but i can tell you i didnt have two left feet for sure
true blue

Agree0 Disagree0

And where did i say that his foot didnt hit the floor?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry to hear that true blue.
But this is a banter page and I don't see it as abuse at all just abit of banter.
Have you looked again at the Torres pass, surely if you have then you should agree with me that it wasn't perfect just abit lucky, anyway the bloke deserves abit of luck.

I really hope Roman gives RDM the job full time. Think he doing a brilliant job! Torres looks good under him and I've been really impressed with mikel and yes lads I said mikel! Forget all this pep talk he is to overated he didn't make that barca team, players like Messi and co were already there and I think he will seriously get found out with this ageing team! Stick with RDM and Eddie newton both Chelsea legends and that's wot we need. Let's build a team for the future next season cos if am being honest I Dnt think we get top 4 this year.

Roman can save this talk of 40million for pep and put it towards new players.

Pinky

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Agree mate for me its either Jose or RDM, i just like the bloke and the players obviously want to work for him, if we can get a trophy he deserves another year regardless of who else is available. We definitely should of got AVB out a month or so earlier it may have got us another 6 or 7 points in the league :/

SHED END

Agree2 Disagree0

He's seemed to have taken the shackles off of mikel and it has worked brilliantly as I believe he's had some of his best performances ever in the shirt in the past month.

Agree1 Disagree1

It's should be jose,he really reads the game more than anyone else i suppose.

Is azpiculeta(spelling) an attacking rb like bosingwa or a defensive rb?
Next year squad ( with out spending too much)
Cech
Azpiculeta terry luiz cole
Essien. Ramires
Sturridge Mata. Kakuta
Torres
I think that defensive line will be solid. Betrand isnt good enough to start. Cahilll to rotate with luiz/ terry.
Ramires has been good. I dont think we will buy a dm. Mata in the central attacking role is a no brainer. Sturridge has impressed this season, i think the people who are calling for him to be axed are forgetting this is his first season with the club(starting). Kakuta has been good a dijon and if we dont buy anyone in this position. Torres has been playing well, not many goals but his work rate is very high.
Some people have been saying to brinf piazon in, but as far as im aware of he hasnt played a first team game before.
Loans: lukaku, piazon, mceachran.
Sell: meireles, bosingwa, kalou, mikel, drogba( legend)
These players to go provided we can find appropriate replacements.
Jono cfc syd( might just sign as syd from now on)
Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Pains me to say mate but unless Essien ups it in the run in i think he's had it, seem hes lost his spark through the injuries and i would hate to see him decline at the bridge. Ed would Essien leaving in the summer be plausable? do you know anything about the clubs stance on him? Cheers

SHED END {Ed002's Note - Essien may well leave in the summer.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Change essien and sturridge put in mceachran and hazard

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive got to disagree mate. Josh mceachran hasnt made the amazing impact we all hoped he would at swansea. Last time i checked he had 2 starts and a few sub appearences, so i dont think he will be ready to start next season. I appreciate what essien has done for us but hes past his best. Hazard is a joke, i never want to see him in a chelsea shirt, i would prefer to have someone who respects the club they play for. To be completetly honest, i hope hazard goes to real madrid and rots on the bench like sahin. I i would like fernando for essien, azpiculeta for bosingwa, moura for meireles.

Can't complain about the result. Defensively we looked solid and it is a good sign if we are going play a good barca side in the semi finals.

I'm glad Torres played as he does bring us something different and i hope he gets the nod ahead of Drogba against Villa because i don't think this rotation policy will do either striker any good for their confidence and if anything we need him on form to be a threatening side. Barring the Napoli game Drogba has been off point but then again he is 34 and will forever remain a chelsea legend and it is understandle that he doesn't have the legs of before to be consistent enough and at this stage of the season we can't afford anymore slip ups. I have full trust in fernando because he does seem like a diff player now and doesn't seem to be afraid to shoot.

Luiz again was magnificant. Clearly a true chelsea legend in the making. He has played solid for so long now and im glad the tv pundits are praising him loads now because he is class.

Felt we should have won by another goal or so because we had our chances. Anyhow should be a better return leg at home where we should win comfortably.

Shak

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Agree with all that pal, Cahill and Luiz are gonna boss it for the next few years

SHED END

Agree3 Disagree0

Yes Torres does bring something different to Drogba,Drogba scores goals,Torres doesnt.

Wondering how some of these Journos get so called inside info ED002 in some paper's Journos claim to have inside sources at Chelsea i noticed a guy from the Mail or The Sun wrote about AVB's last day at Chelsea claiming he was told by someone at the club,Does the Club now that a person may be leaking info to Journos or would they be unaware of this? {Ed002's Note - Many clubs manage the release of information to the press.}
