I think we should stop paying silly money. There seems to be one price for CFC and another for everybody else. There is no way Hulk is worth 38M i wouldn't pay 25M for him and certainly Jovetic is not worth 25M. Proitos

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Hulk 38mill no way, jovetic i would pay 25 for. BLUEBOY1

Boy do I envy Dortmound for getting Reus. Most say they have a real Gem. Maybe in two-three years we could go for him, that would be great.

Shame we are not looking at bringing in a centre back because hummels of Germany looks a good player and only 23

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Yeah i agree, i can see Hummels at a big team soon, maybe Barca turn to him instead of Luiz? or Madrid instead of Iva, Would be good for us!

Rich

Agree1 Disagree0

O yeah great defending lol

Agree2 Disagree0

Even though this is motd fever i actally think hummels would be a good signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Still could sign hummels as a replace ment for terry in the future but if we sign him now, he can play defensive midfeild as well so its a win win...

Agree1 Disagree1

Hummels in,move luiz into DM position. rami and luiz together in midfield? i'd like to see that!

Agree0 Disagree2

Luiz is a defender and a good one at that its doing my head in people keep wanting to play him out of position.

Ed who do we have the better chance of signing if at all higuain cavani falcao {Ed002's Note - I am not going to try and rate the chances between players. Sorry.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

If you read up on any football news you'd see that Falcao isn't for sale, and Higuain is either PSG bound or staying put

Lukaku and De Bruyne won't get much playing time at the bridge , they should be loaned out ( best to EPL teams ).

LOLZZZ {Ed002's Note - De Bruyne will almost certainly be loaned out, but he is going on the pre-season tour. There is interest from a whole bunch of clubs.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you name any of the " whole bunch of clubs " ed002 ?
and any interest shown in Lukaku till now ?

LOLZZZ {Ed002's Note - Enquiries had been made by Atletico Madrid, Southampton, Hoffenheim, Sporting Lisbon, Lille, Benfica, Wolfsburg, Hamburg, FC Twente and Fiorentina have enquired after taking Kevin de Bruyne on loan.

Lukaku's situation is different so there is nothing to say right now.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thnx ed =)
LOLZZZ

Agree0 Disagree0

I know player exchanges are difficult to predict.
But you've mentioned Fiorentina ED, i could be over-thinking it but i wonder if Fiorentina would be more willing to sell Jovetic to us if we sent De Bruyne on loan the other way, a bit like Matic and David Luiz. (Except Matic wasn't nearly as good a prospect as KDB)

Then again i'd like to see De Bruyne in England next season.

Thanks

Rich {Ed002's Note - It is possible.}

Agree0 Disagree0

This team matched mine perfectly until you got to jovetic. Am not convinced by him. Would love cavani but looks ess and less likely. Therefore i think our best option is sturridge.

Agree1 Disagree1

Sturridge is skillful and talented ,but he is so arrogant wants to play it his way or not. He won't settle for a bench seat and doesn't want to play on the wings. so if Di Matteo can get the best out of him , would love to see him stay in BLUE.
and Jovetic is a good player with potential to improve in such an experienced squad.

Ed, If you had to pick one, life or death sort of thing would you choose a Sunday Roast or a Kebab for dinner ? Dont think about the price, its not important. If you did pick the Kebab tho, would you have chilli sauce or garlic sauce ? {Ed002's Note - No garlic. My types cannot be near garlic.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Aahh! Your Swedish aren't you Ed? {Ed002's Note - I am American - I thought everybody knew.}

Predictions for next season :

Community shield : WINNERS

Super Cup : WINNERS

Premier League : 3rd Place

Champions League : Semi final

Fa Cup : WINNERS

League Cup : Don't know don't care

FIFA Club WC : WINNERS

SO 4 trophies - alright for some I say :)

Jm10

Believable6 Unbelievable9

Why 3rd in the PL? If some of the players we're linked with come off then we will have a better squad than everyone bar Man C! (May be have a level playing squad as Man C) All i would change is PL, 1st all day long! UP THE BLUES!! DJ

Agree3 Disagree1

I'd like to think the league cup will be used to give our youth squad a chance and i can see us doing well with likes of piazon and mceachran, also i think with additions like hazard, marin and either hulk, jovetic or shurrle, i think we could run away with the league.

trueblue012

p.s the first team to retain the champions league!

Agree5 Disagree0

Mate I'm just being realistic, I reckon it'll take a year before we challenge for the title again. You can't go from 6th to 1st in one year !

Jm10

Agree1 Disagree1

But we went from 2nd to 6th in 1 year?? So why noy 6th to first? DJ

Agree6 Disagree0

And we were better than our league position this year, didn't really get outplayed by any teams.

Rowan

Agree0 Disagree1

I think it all comes down to how we prioritize our players.

Has chelsea ever looked at Ryan Shawcross? Thanks Tom {Ed002's Note - No.}

If AVB does take over at Tottenham or wherever will this reduce the amount of compensation that is payable by Chelsea for termination of his contract ? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know the details and it is of no consequence for this forum.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No interest? Chelsea fans wouldn't be interested if chelsea football club had more money? {Ed002's Note - Financial matters are not something worth discussing.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah football has nothing to do with money ....... Thanks for clearing that up Ed :) {Ed002's Note - Actually I did not say that. It is simply not a matter for too much discussion here.}

I would be happy if chelsea did push through the deals for Hulk, Debuchy and another striker. I think torres should be the main man this season, and perhaps let lukaku and sturridge play second fiddle to him!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

So why would you want another striker who in your eyes would be 3rd or 4th choice ?

curt

Agree3 Disagree8

Forgot to add, if needed, after the another striker bit, sorry for the confusion

I think we will struggle to sign a BIG name player, as players outside of CFC will not be keen on RDM. Very concerned about appointment still.
Bomber

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Hazard?

Surewould {Ed002's Note - RDM was not manager when HAzard signed.}

Agree0 Disagree0

So a big name player will sign whilst we have no manager but not whilst RDM is in charge? It's all so clear now!

How bad has Vicente Del Bosque been with his tactics in the euros!I mean Torres has looked ,when ever he has started, as their best striker.He drags and keeps the central defenders at bay with his pace and positioning ,hence creates a lot of space for the midfielders to play in.Why the hell would you start a player and drop him the next, after the player put in very good performances.Starting Negredo ahead of Torres and Lorente is just b****cks.The false no 9 system with Fabregas is not working and his tactics almost cost them the match.He should play Torres in the final.Another reason for their not playing well is Xavi,who has been well below par.He can play Silva in Xavi's position and Mata in Silva's position up top.Mata and Torres together would be lethal.The had only match shot on target in the whole match.The stat speaks for it self .So hopefully Torres starts the final.I just want our players to win.
roan

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Xavi has played fine up until last night, and even then a lot of credit has to go to Portugal for the amount of pressing they did.

IB.

Agree1 Disagree1

I personally hope Germany smash the Italians tonight and then the Spanish on Sunday. Theyre the only team that want to score goals. Spain's negativity has made me dislike them a lot now, to not play a striker is just pathetic, was gutted Portgual went out. I also want Germany to win because the fact Spain haven't played Mata and put subs on like Navas who isnt fit to lace Mata's boots is ridiculous! Never do I want the Germans to win, but now I'm afraid I do! They play great football but actually want to score!

Chelsea Nick

Agree5 Disagree0

Even if there football is 'negative' they still dont lose cant be that bad

however i would agree about torres and mata i mean last night they end up with 2 wingers (pedro and navas) who want to run at the wing backs and cross a ball in yet the furthest forward for spain was fabregas ...... u need torres or even llorente on the pitch as they can both head aball doesnt make sense

curt

Agree7 Disagree8

Wtf? Do people just disagree with curt for the hell of it? He only confirmed what everyone else agreed with??
2hotty

Agree4 Disagree5

I brought up the same issue about a week ago. I had just as much of an impact on the game as negredo did. I also think fabregas brings nothing to the game that the other midfielders don't. Torres at least adds pace and keeps the defenders honest.
