I was at the game Today and must say the whole crowd was fully behind Conte. Sung his name throughout and really positive. Was nice to see and hear that.

Couldn’t think of anything better than the board going to conte and saying. we don’t like your public digs at us it’s not professional but we agree we’ve not done well enough let’s settle this and move forward with new 3yr deal . There’s the dream and the nightmare is luis Enrique next manager,

Most of the fans at Chelsea games are always behind Conte. It's a minority of people on social media platforms that have been calling for Conte's head. Even when we were at our worst for some time under Mourinho people still sung his name and backed him. If you have a connection with Chelsea fans as a manager they'll back you no matter what 👍.

I have always said Conte is the most important cog in our team. Yes his tactics have been found out but with new quality players it will be harder to handle us. I have been to a few Chelsea games and have watched all and its obvious how much he is appreciated by the fans.

If he does leave then for me it has to be Maurizo Sarri.

CFCShak sorry but what a sh*t are you talking. You are the first one of Conte out brigade and now you saying you always thought he is most important cog.

You are chelsea version of Raver.

My discontent has never been with Conte. Its with the board.

Quick question for one of the Ed’s? Baba Rahman seems to be going on an 18month loan which would see him to the end of his contract so was wondering if there’s a buy clause in the loan deal or something? Surely we’d be able to sell him for some amount of money rather than allow him to rub down his contract? Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - usually that means that the player signs a new contract first.}

It has been been a long time since we have had two young academy players play so comfortably alongside the first 11.

Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi have the potential to be quality players and have bright futures ahead. Odoi deffinetly needs to be given a chance more often off the bench. There is something about the young lad and I feel he can help the first team. His general play and movement off the ball was really good. In my opinion he is a lot more mobile than Tammy Abraham. Conte should use him more often.

Both Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi and throw in Musonda, have that little extra that Loftus-Cheek and a number of others we have loaned or sold and it would be a real travesty if we let them go. Few of the other youngsters have hit real heights or look like doing so and I include Tammy Abrahams in that remark. Nice movement but lacks strength and not as good as he should be in the air.

Leverkusen won't consider selling him this window since they have a chance to get top 4. And with the way he's playing, come the summer window he's going to have some price tag! . We have big interest in him though and he likes Chelsea so maybe he can do something in the summer. But can't see anything happening in this window unfortunately.

I don't understand why the players (deals) that Chelsea back away from - (claiming that they are too expensive are) the ones that turn out to become world heaters.

We have backed away from some real gems. Dybala was someone we wanted when he was at Palermo which unfortunately didn't materialise.

However, it is a gamble. Some turn out good and others not so good. Baka is one that is in the balance. I think his recent performances have been decent.

I don't get where all the hate for zappacosta is coming from either, I'm reading zappacosta should never play football ect. I don't think he's been half bad saying he's only started a hand full of games and some late substitute rolls. He's faster than he looks his crossing can improve it was a lot better at torino so I no its in there and he chips in with the odd goal here and there.

Good display and result. On to the next round!

Also delighted to see Ampadu come on and again just looking like he belongs at PL level. And that at just 17 years of age. Fantastic talent, and I honestly like him most in a defensive midfield role.
Fantastic as well to see Hudson-Odoi getting his debut. One of the most talented youngsters we've ever had, and he showed it when he came on. Immediate energy, and some good pass-and-move play. We shouldn't mess up with him. He could very well be a world beater in the future.

Spot on. Newcastle poor at the back but workman like and Pedro and Hazard worked their socks off and Alonso for all his weaknesses, what a free kick that was.
From his first game Ampadu looked like he was a natural and I think Conte thinks as much. Hudon-Odoi and Musonda both have that little something special that many of those we have sent packing/ loaned did not have.

Also, let's not forget about Michy who played quite well today! I also think Zappacosta was much better than he's been at other times - if only we could get a bit more consistency we would do much better - hopefully it'll come in the last half of the season!

What does everyone think of Musonda going to Celtic that’s the rumour doing the rounds I personally would love to see him get more game time with us an injury to Willian hazard or Pedro and we’re very light on numbers.

Aw thank you, LRDlt! Life's been really busy since I've started my first job, so I don't have much time for the interwebz these days. After today's match I was just so damn happy, I had to post :-D A good win AND 2 promising 17 year olds playing? I'm in Valhalla haha.

That’s why I’m not so Dissapointed if we can’t spend big money again Jackson because we have the most talented group of youngsters we’ve ever had
He needs game time wheely just should be with us imo.
