Barcelona giving new deals to their senior players, we need to do the same. It is vital we have the likes of Lampard, Cole and especially Terry in our squad, even if they don't play much I think it is worth paying them to give the club that experience and winning mentality.

Agree , second that and follow it up with my observation. Frank Lampard is on a annual wage of some 7-7, 5 million pounds. He was surely worth every penny. He was paid as a main midfielder a reliable goal scoring world class player. It will not last for long, sure. He has made good money from the club and the time may have come to help Chelsea in some different way.

It may be my wishful thinking, of course and i do not know Frank Lampard. He may be offered lots of money elswhere and his agent is good at getting him paid well. But if he feels like he is to stay with cutting down on minutes and wages, then i see a great compromise. We keep his leadership, his example in the training, his professional routines, his presence per se and gradualy develop our next generation of Terrys and Lampards with themselves in the thick of it.

I mean the guys like Kevin de Bruyne, Nathaniel Chalobah, Romelu Lukaku. In my honest opinion the presence of Lamps, JT and Cole is essential.

I would be over the moon to keep them if they took proper market value. If you think giggs and scholes are cashing in you're quite wrong. If they want to stay they will.

liverpool fan here

honestly believe benitez will do great things for you guys. the problems he had at liverpool ie lack of funds to go out and buy talent will not be an issue for you. you ll see him buying the new agueros suarezes torreses ronaldos etc . he s a good manager and i think it spells fear for the rest of us that he is your boss. i firmly believe you will challenge for the title this year

Problem is I don't think he chooses who to buy, I think he will do well for remainder of the season providing we buy 2 more strikers.
As a Chelsea supporter I'm happy if we get 3rd.

Hi ed was wondering how much say do the players have now a days to say were they want to go because on one hand the president of Madrid saying to the fans how hard it is to keep a player like falcao to me that's saying (we tried but failed) and then reports are out saying falcao expects to stay till end of the season now to me the word expects means he not to sore. What am saying is if he wants to come he should be saying I want to go Chelsea and if he's stopping then he should no he is also to me what makes it better is we have accordingly met the buy out clause so again it's a simple yes or no or is it more about the people who own him {Ed002's Note - If an acceptable offer is made to a club then it is up to the player to say if he wants to move or not. I can't understand much of the rest of the post due to lack of punctuation - it is like reading a Jack Kerouac book.}

my views on ths season so far!

although we have seen a different chelsea to wot we are used to i.e more attacking, i feel it isnt working aswell as the old solid chelsea we have seen over the years! the spine of the team is weak and been disserpointed in player like oscar! am not writing him off by any means but very weak on the ball, clever player but we got the god in mata for that! they both try the same thing and lets face it they both get knocked of the ball easy but mata is more productive! i hate when i see hazard mata and oscar in the same team its to light wieght! been impressed with mosses he strong and quick and he can bring in players into play with his strengh!

the day torres is out the club the better would love to see mosses and lakaku (unless falcao is at the club) play together we be solid from the front, luiz is perfect for center mid alongside ramires!

we are a couple of players short of a amazing team and with in time we will see the rewards but the old chelsea i miss! drogba was unplayable on his day and he was the differance in so so many games where torres will never be.

am gonna hold tight and trust rafa he looks to have us more balanced than under rdm! lets hope for a better 2nd half of the season kevinCFC

I've been more impressed with Oscar than Moses.

Imagine this for a team

Cech
Azapaleta. Luiz. Terry. Cole
Oscar. Romeu Neymar Mata. Hazard
Falcao

I know it's a bit weak with Oscar holding but he would be more of a deep lying playmaker than a traditional dm, and I think we would be up on 70 odd % possession anyway so don't really need a lump to sit in front of the back 4 ,and the manager could change it when we play the big boys , I do believe we are 2/3 signings from being the best team in Europe well if you take barca out, they don't count ,we are on the verge of something very special and that is winning playing beautifully, something arsenal struggle to do.when I say 2/3 players away I don't mean squad players I mean a striker falcao or cavani a attacking mid Neymar or isco and maybe a CDm my first choice would have been javi Martinez who signed for bauyern, we would smash the league to bits and my 3 choices for a manager would be 1- Benitez because he's already here '2- klopp I love watching Dortmund play and he gives youth a go ,3- guardiola but I'm not sure if he was good at barca or my nan could make messi score and barca win, he would be my 3rd choice just in case he can't get to grips with the prem and we got another scolari on our hands. This isn't a dream team it's quite realistic as we're linked with falcao and cavani every other day,and Neymar story's always pop up, and with lampard set to leave and having a centre back playing in midfield and Romeu out we need to add there also, so come on roman make us immense please !!!!!!!!
