€5 million for Sarri according to the majority of news, which is 3 whole million less than the original buyout. CHELSEa will still pay out Conte in full. The fee for Sarri will be around €5m, according to most reports, while Chelsea will still have to pay Conte’s full severance. Thus the only difference from the start of the summer will be that we saved the €3m difference between Sarri’s original buyout and the new fee. So we can take that to the bank all proudly and then realize we’ve wasted half the summer on absolutely nothing.

Wonder if it was your business would you be so keen to lose 3million. This is an unusual delay for us to take this long to sort out the manager situation. Wait till the start of the season to moan. The window doesn’t officially open till the 1/ 7/ 18 does it.

As a fan we are vitally important to the club, we all have the right to our opinions.
Standard has a point, we saved approx 2m but wasted over a month for this which has probably affected any incoming transfer dealings. We will find out soon whether the club did the right thing or not.

Lemar, joined at atletico because we told Him to wait while we sort out our manager position. Regani, has now said he will only consider the move once we get a manager. We’ve missed out on key players and probably more than the ones aforementioned by penny pinching. Chelsea really really need to wake up.

I'm sure one of the ed's even mentioned that the lack of us having a manager is affecting our transfers.
Put yourself in a players position, if your an attacking player would you like to play for a defensive manager, would you not want to know who the manager is before you commit? Would you want Simone, Guardiola or Blanc to manage you? If your a player that plays as a wingback in back 5, would you want to play for a manager who plays 442 etc.
It's common sense that a lack of manager will have an effect on transfers.

The delay has its merits and demerits; One thing that I guess we all know is that Chelsea wants to establish that they are no money bag which is wise considering the fact that the market is crazy; they have young players that can be improved; and they have some other major projects (stadium) to develop.

All I am saying in the past we have been swift changing managers. They clearly think Sarri is worth the wait. I do agree about lost time in the market. All I’m saying is let’s wait and see what we get.

Magic, reports have indicated that’s tge head coach uncertainty was the reason lemar chose atletico. Could be incorrect yes, but as cfcshak has said, it would cause uncertainty for players.

i think lemar is highly overated and don't think we missed out on much. think golovin could be a better signing if it happens.
