Perhaps we should sign ospina from arsenal, I am sure that they would agree as they expected us to let them have Cech.

{Ed018's Note - he had one hell of a match last night. I was very impressed}

Im sure that we are looking for a back up GK that in homegrown category.

Doubt it. Looks like we're after Begovic. Every top European club needs two quality keepers. Is there still any interest in Guaita Ed He looks like a decent keeper for back up.

{Ed002's Note - No, like many GKs they are not keen on dropping to be a second pick.}

I think we want Begovic to replace Cech

Begovic would be a quality back-up. HG too. Just not sure why he'd want to be second choice.

Ospina will be leaving as he doesn't want to sit on the bench, which he would definitely be doing at Chelsea, so it won't be happening.

The transfer window has been quiet so for in England (except liverpool). Really hope Chelsea realise that even though our team was good last year we struggled scoring goals. As ed018 said we really need some players that actually put the ball in the net (I know there are a lot of Willian fans here but this is something he has never done throughout his career). Reus would be great but ed002 has said big issue occurred which I am gutted about. Have hopes for traore but not sure what kind of opportunity he will be given and most goals came from cf. Griezmann would be good but I also think we need a high scoring cm to replace Oscar (controversial). My ideal signings would be pogba, griezmann and varane. I really don't understand why Chelsea would be interested in players like turan. In business you never buy a depreciating asset (like Luis or turan) if you buy a younger player and they don't perform 90% of the time you get money back if not more.

I agree about youth buys look at lukaku and de bruyne as prime examples they didn't work out an we still made massive profits I think we would all love to see Chelsea break the bank for pogba and griezman what's the worst that can happen maybe next year for varane as we don't really need him as much and we would stay in fair play regulations . we won the league and the cup so surely we have a nice transfer kitty to spend y waist it on turan and players like that? Eds I no ye won't get sucked into financials but if we wanted to buy pogba and griezman would we be able to do so and meet financial fair play as we recieved another 10 million for Cech plus drogba off the wage bill aswell I no its not something ye discuss but just a question anyway if ye don't wanna answer I completely understand

Whilst I'm not 100% sure of whether the report was accurate or not, last year there was an article on WAGNH that explained that we could have spent £200m and still fallen within FFP rules. So another season onwards, with increasing revenues and a profit on transfers, it'd likely still be possible that we could acquire all 3 and stay within FFP. But as I said, I'm not entirely sure as to whether the report was accurate.

It is not what we spend but who we approach and whether they want to play for us. Pogba and Griezmann would be excellent buys but if it is just the money they move for, do we really want players like that? I do agree with Spearce96's email, we did not score enough goals and we will need that next season especially in finishing teams off.

have we agreed a fee for kenedy?

{Ed018's Note - yes}

If United end up buying Ramos I'll hate them even more. Getting Varane would already be difficult enough, but if they first sell Ramos then there's no way I see Varane leaving.

Hi guys lfc fan here. Quick question I've got for you, is why do I never see any of your top youth prospects, or high class youngsters, come through the ranks. Youve done great at youth level, yet I hardly see anyone in the squad. Always loaned out for years then sold.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Andreas Christensen, Nathan Ake, Loftus-Cheek and Isiah Brown all made first team appearances last season. Perhaps you are not concentrating hard enough on Chelsea. Chelsea use the loan system to their advantage having built relationships with a number of clubs (two more being added this summer) who can give younger players regular first team experience in decent quality European leagues, often with the opportunity to play in European competition. And this has worked well with some players returning to the first team squad (such as Courtois), others ending up being sold (for reasons of their own making) but at a significant profit (such as de Buyne and Lukaku), some who don't make the grade being sold or eventually released. But it provides a significant pool for the future and should keep on going transfer costs down for many players allowing the club to make one or two high profile or high cost signings a season without continually abusing the FFP rules like a number of other clubs do.}

With chelsea challenging for first place it's hard to blood youngsters into the first team.sending them out on loan aids their development quicker whilst gaining great expirience.whereas if you are going for 5th to 8th the pressure is easier to add the youngsters.and as ed 18 has said we are begining to see the rewards for doing this

My point I was trying make was apart from terry who actually out of your academy has made it to the first team and stayed their. I agree now you have some great players coming through.

No offense Dorset Red, as maybe I'm slightly ignorant about Liverpool but who has come through your academy since Gerrard or Carragher?

Am I the only one who thinks chelsea don't even need to buy anyone this summer lol? defensively we are fine with azpi, luis and ivanovic continuing to be our full backs and cahill, terry and zouma as our cbs. then we got the cm positions where matic fabregas loftus-cheek and ramires would be sufficient. if ramires leaves no problem its about time we finally integrate the talented van ginkel in our team.

and regarding the AM positions especially on the right wing I really believe cuadrado will come good and this position would provide good backup in the form of traore. willian and oscar should rotate around the cam position. maybe also bring salah back.

and finally with the strikers, the trio of costa, falcao and remy is good enough. and if remy leaves, no problem its also time to integrate bamford into the team.

so now you look at all those players I mentioned that are in our squad right now, don't you guys think this is a solid squad? no need to spend for the sake it. let's be bold and blood in these new youths as them mixed in with the senior players will for sure make us very exciting!

I agree with you on most part but I think Luis will leave and with Cech more or less gone they'll need replacing. Cuadrado might want to leave but if we ended up signing Begovic, Rahman and Griezmann I'd be over the moon.

Forget Begovic - he turned us down before because he didn't want to sit on the bench.

We all love Chelsea. But do u guys realize that our playing style is caught and a little boring with too much defense. We need some need first team. To make something new to our force - or all the team will know how to play against us.

Remember how we played again PSG in CL. Too much defensive attitude. And the counter attack was not sharp enough. Too dependent on Hazard - all they need to do was isolate him. How can we be better if all the player are the same. No new back up - new suprising plan to knock out the opponent.

We need to be able to take control of the midfield in the big games. We weren't able to do that with either Fabregas or Ramires next to Matic. I stand by the fact that another midfielder should be added. One that is strong enough physically but also has the passing and technique to not hold our play back (which Ramires does). Andre Gomes would have been the prime candidate IMO.

If your team isn't constantly going forward you're going backwards. While we had a good year I think that it's fair to say everyone desires to go further in the champions league than the last 16. Also you look at the teams were competing with who are making major improvements which closes the gap.

I agree with Jackson we definitely need a strong midfielder, good in the tackle but also good going forward. Fabregas is at his best when we dominate, under pressure and he does his disappearing act; Ramires I am sorry but I just do not see what he brings to the team other than enthusiasm and he is nailed on to get a booking for a clumsy tackle and scoring, forget it. This will be a key buy this year along with someone that can add goals, preferably with a shot to draw defences out.
