ed i have been reading a lot of these posts mentionong hazard vdw etc etc who actually compiles the list of players we target? alot of ppl are playing fantasy football on here talking bout neymar and lucas and ganso but i dont believe we have the power to beat the other clubs to buy these! why would robinho want to come here wasnt it us that made the transfer fall through by using a image of him in a chelsea shirt before he signed?
thanks ed
jason {Ed018's Note - i don't see any deal for robinho happening. i believe chelsea had started to sell chelsea kits with robinho's name and number and Madrid didnt like that}

Do you think Cavani will move this window? and are Chelsea and Madrid the only team that are interested?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Been rumours that Napoli are brassing themselves for a 30 million bid?. Love it if it is us, fingers crossed.

not a rumour, but just scrolling down all these posts and I am very pleased with the amount of posts lately. been using this site for a long time now and never seen it so popular and I think it would be awesome if people could use it all year round, not just during the transfer window. some great banter and we all love ed's comments also :D

What players does avb want

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Jan 2012 19:58:29
AVB openly stating (on Sky) that the Cahill deal probably concludes business for this transfer window. That includes De Bruyne, Willian & Hazzard. There was me thinking the contrary. I seriously thought De Bruyne was in the bag.

His rationale being that the 'next years project is more important than this years' WTF? which makes no sense to me at all. If you don't invest now - next year's project may involve the Europa cup.

Defender out - defender in. Yaawn!

Hey ho - the summer window is it then

Hey ed you do not say anything perfect and everyone here says good job ed good job ed etc. They way you say others that Chelsea are interested in this player, that player we also know that. I can tell you also that Chelsea are interested in Cavani, Higuine, WDV, Modric, Di Maria, De Bruyne, Hazard, Willian the world knows it. If you think you are well aware of Chelsea rumors then you should have said 2 days ago that Chelsea will bid for Lucas Moura or atleast should have said in hidden words that a player from Sao Paulo but you didn't. So how can I believe that you information about players linked with Chelsea are more authentic than any other fan. {Ed002's Note - I don't want you to believe me at all. Your problem is that you have taken something read in the press as gospel. Are you sure that is a new story? Didn't an identical story turn up a few weeks ago? Did Wagner Ribeiro say all this he is reported as saying? Or did Pedroso Junior just say this a few weeks ago for bravado? Are you who you say you are? Or are you simply an anonymous troll wasting everyone's time?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If you dont want to believe Ed then dont, but dont write stupid comments unsigned abusing someone who is volunteering on a forum and constantly gets abuse for giving us free inside info on a team we love. If you dont like it then piss off to caughtoffside or footybunker.

thank you alex and good luck at PSG

Shame AVB should have pair'd him with JT. Luiz a holding midfield. He always popped up with a good goal or two.
Good luck Alex

Hey ED,

I'm just curious. I don't want to know the name of your sources or anything like that, but do they have in job or role in Chelsea? Or are they "external sources"?

Thanks :) Great Job

Samir {Ed002's Note - It is not quite like that I am afraid Samir - and a subject we are not going to get involved with.}

Ahhh, no problem.

Thanks anyway.

It's been confirmed folks.

No more signings. Not even De Bruyne, so lets all forget about Willian, Hazard and many more.

Apparently the project in the summer is bigger. Lets hope AVB gets us the top 4 otherwise there may not even be any project for him. RA has a very short temperament and finishing outside the top 4 is a failure especially with the players we have. No excuses.

Shak

Believable1 Unbelievable6

I would back Roman to sack AVB now. With the squad he has, we have been woeful. His tactics & a lot of selection's have been questionable, to say the least.

Agree1 Disagree3

AVB is lying. Chelsea will sign more players. Expect a bid for a couple more players.

When those signings are completed, AVB will cover the fact that he lied by saying that he had no intention to sign any more players specifically when he was at the conference. But then he would say that their was an a window of opportunity to sign a certain player, an opportunity that he could not refuse.

Or he will say that the board suddenly declared an interest in signing a player, an interest he knew nothing of but consented to it anyway.

Thanks Guys

Samir {Ed002's Note - It is inappropriate to say he is lying. And I don't expect anyone to ask him subsequently about it.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't read into what AVB says in press conferences chaps...Remember that okay?

PR!

Agree1 Disagree0

Okay then, AVB wasn't lying. He was telling a white lie ;)

Oh, and I don't believe anyone will ask him either, but I think he will say it anyway if a reporter says that the signing was "unexpected due to the circumstances", or something along those lines.

Thanks Everyone

Eds a question regarding the financial rules.The rules have been put in place to give an even playing field.Is this correct.If so would this not be worse off for football teams as united,Madrid,barca have massive income from worldwide fan bases.Saying that wouldn't they be generating a lot more money than anyone else,meaning being able to buy the best players still.also the smaller clubs are actually gaining from teams having foreign owners,as they can inflate their prices for there players.I just don't see how this will effect the above teams,meaning they will always be the team to beat. {Ed002's Note -I really don't want to get dragged in to discussing the FFP right now. They are very complex and I don't have the time or inclination to try and explain them. You are however right that many sides will not suffer from them. My advice is to forget about them for a while.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ffp is full of flaws, teams WILL get round it no matter what ed says {Ed002's Note - Can you please provide a list of these flaws and I will respond to each?}

Eds, we were unbeaten for 86 games at home
What was Liverpool's Record? Hard to find {Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Chelsea have the longest unbeaten home run in the league with 86 games. Liverpool have the longest unbeaten home run in all competitions with 85 games.

Quality striker available for 25M, proven in Premier League, his name, Carlos Tevez, get him , Torres and Tevez up front, World Class!

Believable1 Unbelievable10

Sorry to say but Man City is not letting Tevez go anywhere in England, and would definitely demand more than 25m from any English club. Not to mention Tevez has repeatedly said he wants out of England.

Agree4 Disagree0

Tevez is a mercenary. Is he really the sort of person we want at our club?!

Fernando Torres to re-sign by next week. His wife and kids are in Liverpool 'cuz they don't like life in London and they want Torres back in Liverpool. El Nino is missing life in Liverpool too, and he will hand in transfer request back to Liverpool by next 24 hours. Torres will be Liverpool player again ! {Ed002's Note - It does seem that the Liverpool fans can't let go of Torres.}

Believable2 Unbelievable10

No please keep him, Chelsea. Please.

Truth does hurt though eh ed?....Torres will never ever have a blue heart.......Exiled scouser {Ed002's Note - I don't really understand what you mean. A "blue heart"?}

Agree5 Disagree3

Why Liverpool? Surely everyone is the better option if he is missing Liverpool, bigger club, better supporters, and at least he'll still be in blue.

Ian ( that's for u osgood is king)

Agree1 Disagree2

Wish these scousers would get over Torres! Whan he left they slated the cr*p out of him, now they can't stop talking about him going back. £40 million and sure it might happen, but you aint got that sort of cash!

Agree3 Disagree1

Haha el nino is missing life in liverpool. correct me if im wrong here but didnt torres say when he first signed with us he was glad to finally be at a big club with big ambitions. now you guys failed to make it in any european competition this year, might be in the europa league next year (big might) and you think he wants out? you boys really shouldve stayed in school past year 8.

And what chelsea are going to make champions league? dream on walter mitty

Agree1 Disagree2

At the current time are Chelsea in a Champions League place?! Yes.
Have Chelsea played well this season?! No.
Therefore how you can say we won't make a Champions League is beyond me. Where are you in the league exactly?

Agree4 Disagree1

How could anyone miss Liverpool, it's like Beirut only they speak better english in Beirut.
Kenny.

Agree3 Disagree0

Currently Chelsea sit in 4th which i expect you guys have forgotten means we are in a champions league place. I tend not to pay much attention to teams lower than 4th but can only imagine the europa league is your best bet for next season if you are a pool fan or a gooner.

afternoon ed,

with JT courtcase coming up do you expect us to push for an adjournement? do you expect him to face the same length of ban as suarez has if found guilty. cheers for all the updates this window mate.

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what the strategy will be. He could opt for a trial in front of a jury or simply deal with it next week. If a trial in front of a jury is requested it could drag on for many months. An adjournment or a plea of not guilty next week will cause a delay but shorter. There would be no ban resulting from this case being held in Court - it is a civil matter. Once this matter has been dealt with in Court the FA may decide to charge Terry - I expect that they will. Do not try and compare it to the Suarez case, but I suspect he would most likely face a ban.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Ed2...sort your facts out...Terry is facing CRIMINAL charges - it's not a CIVIL matter at all...If he is found guilty, whehter by trail or not, he will NEVER captain England again. He will be banned for far longer than Suarez...which, incidentally, WAS a civil case....Schoolboy Error ED2 {Ed002's Note - You are obviously very angry and paranoid about something and have decided to vent against me. I see you are also having a problem with your caps lock button as well - I guess that is the dribble damaging the keyboard. John Terry is scheduled to appear at a Magistrates Court charged with a public order offence. I rather think you do not understand the terms "Civil" and "Criminal" and have somehow got the word "Charges" attached in your rant. Quite how you can relate this matter to Suarez' issue is beyond me. It is about as plausible as you knowing the resultant punishment of a charge that has yet to be made by The FA. It must be a very confusing place inside your head - try banging it against a wall or something else hard to see if that helps.}

That's the first proper laugh I've had all day^^
